My rating : 2
5 year old daughter's rating : 4

I thought the story was too simplistic. My daughter rated it higher because she didn't find any challenging words in it and breezed through it

Very basic beginning reader. One sentence a page with lots of word and sentence structure repetition. Similar to Brand New Readers. Not really exciting but there is a song at the end, some comprehension questions which teachers and parents will like and activity suggestions. Green Light Readers Level 1 (Red)

Rowan read every word by herself, so excellent for beginning readers, but the story is a little lacking. Very simple.
