A good technical read. A bit slow but enough color to keep it interesting

Simply a must read for anyone new to flyfishing. It contains everything you need to learn to get started understanding the water that you'll be fishing and how to approach various fishing challenges. I re-read this book every couple of years just to brush up on things that I might have forgotten to take advantage of in the previous year of fishing, and I always seem to (re)learn something new each time.

Highly recommended along with anything else Dave Hughes has written.

This is a great book for the beginner and medium level fly fisherman/woman. Should be read several times and reviewed often to increase your chances of catching fish....especially trout!
