Humor and Healing by Bernie Siegel is a little bit of humor for people who have been diagnosed with serious life-threatening diseases such as cancer. Dr. Siegel has been writing for decades about this and holding seminars for patients and their families. He endorses the theory of the power of the mind over disease. A positive attitude towards illness has achieved success with patients and has made the road a little easier to travel. I have been reading Dr. Siegel’s books for many years and have found them helpful. He is a medical doctor who realized that the mind should always be considered when dealing with a physical problem. And if for no other reason, read the book just for the fun of it.

Good book. From much research, and from what Bernie is confirming; laughter is the best medicine... Norman Cousins as well as many others as Bernie and other health professionals can affirm the mind, and emotions are very powerful in regards to healing/the body....

Oh so dated and very little about evidence-based research on the healing benefits of humor.
