Discovered this gem at our local library. A vain, selfish young lord learns humility and responsibility when he ends up becoming the Green Man, living in the forest and caring for animals and lost people. Great vintage medieval-style artwork that really brings alive the Green Man image.

This was an interesting story about a person of nobel blood who finds himself left out in the forest and lost. He finds a cave that used to be inhabited and begins to live there. Through the next year he finds out how much he loves being around the animals of the forest, and he becomes the green man that everyone talks about in fairy tales. It's a pretty good book with older illustrations. It's short so if you'd want to read it it wouldn't take much time at all.
