"Brad and Sherry Hansen Steiger are two of my favorite people. Their wonderful book Christmas Miracles is a treasury of uplifting stories that demonstrates the wonders that can and do accompany our lives." — Shirley MacLaine , Academy Award-winning actress and author
The promise that miracles can happen is never more certain than during the holiday season, when it really does seem that your dreams and wishes can come true. From a guardian angel who finds a desperately needed job for a man whose wife is about to give birth right before Christmas to pair of grieving parents who receive a warm Christmas message from their recently departed son, these incredible-but-true, larger-than-life miracles celebrate the wondrous joys of this special time of year. Because the first Christmas—and every one since—is a miracle.
Warning, either skip the last story entirely or read it first to get it out of the way. It made me SO ANGRY and I saw no Christmas miracle in it, just a soon to be ex husband who was an @ss, as well as church members who should have been more Christ-like. Left a horrible taste in my mouth and I was ready to give this book one star, but the other stories were good to decent, so tempering my anger to 3 stars. Recommended, except for that last story. It’s a doozy!
Buku ini kurang lebih mirip Chicken Soup. Lumayan ajalah cerita²nya seputar ttg keajaiban Natal. Yg paling diingat adalah yg terkubur di tambang dan terselamatkan. Inspiratif sih bhw Tuhan bisa selalu menciptakan keajaiban bagi umatNya.
This book is a beautiful collection of Christmas miracles that range from miracle verse to the death of loved ones at Christmas. All the stories mention some sort of angelic happening. Even though the book ended with a sadder tale, it reminds you that even in the saddest of things, miracles can happen and to hold on and God has gotcha.
I am reading one story a night with my children during the advent season. The stories are sweet and uplifting. They have lead to several really nice conversations about God, angels and the Christmas spirit.
this is something that is needed. beautiful stories of Christmastime. I needed it greatly before the holiday. I got a copy from the author and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I have had this book sitting on my book shelf for 12 years. Some how I just kept skipping over it. I am so glad I took the time to read this beautiful book in the season of miracles.
If you like Chicken Soup for the Soul stories, you will enjoy this book. These have a Chrisian slant (which I like) and deal with miraculous things at Christmas. I enjoyed all the stories, but I almost wish they hadn't included the last story, it broke my heart. After checking this author, I realize there's a whole series of these Miracle books. I plan to search them out.
This book is a compilation of stories about miracles that took place at Christmas time. I marked six stories which I felt were incredible but believable and uplifting.
I started this book before Christmas but ran out of time. I was able to finish reading it today (Epiphany) which I think ties in nicely with the context of each story.
