Very informative about the DDC. Quite long winded but good comparisons to some other classification systems.
Definitely have the 22nd edition Dewey Decimal on you while reading!

A librarian at work put this on hold for me after I explained that I like to understand the reason behind a rule in order to remember it. I read the book as an intro to DDC and got a summary some of the main issues and principles of the system but didn't do the exercises. Still want to read more about this topic. I am a writer that uses the library for research. I also work part time in a public library and spend a lot of time trying to help people locate items.

Decent resource for those just learning how to classify using Dewey. While the focus is to learn using the hardbound sets of books for Dewey Decimal Classification, there is a brief chapter on WebDewey and everything discussed, all of the exercises, etc. are easy to do using WebDewey.
