Still haunted by the difficult and sometimes tragic events of her senior year, Laurel struggles to adjust to college life. Tormented by dreams of the past, she reaches out for Christ to give her peace even in her innermost thoughts. Dealing with the choice between Foster, who is a Christian, and Branson, who has pressured her to have sex, only further complicates her walk with the Lord and her adjustment to college life. Will Laurel come to see her absolute worth in the eyes of God as most important or will she bow to the pressures of her peers?

Laurel is in her first year of college at the University of Georgia and she faces a lot of issues. Laurel missed her parents, her brothers and her friends since she moved. Laurel shares her room with a girl named Payton Skyy. Payton is Laurel's roommate and she cares about her a lot. They did not have the same beliefs though, since Laurel is white and Payton is black. Payton was Laurel's friend. She is always there to help Laurel and Laurel is always there to help her.
Laurel hopes to walk on the school's world class gymnast team at the University of Georgia. She has been a gymnast since she was little. Gymnastic is Laurel's passion. Laurel had joined a sorority that her mother was in and she was the President of her class. Sometimes that's what stopped her from coming to gymnast practice. At her first practice, she met Olympic Gold Medalist Nadia. Nadia always encouraged Laurel to get on the team and to practice and she always encourages Laurel to believe in herself. She is always by her side when the girls on the team start laughing at Laurel when she falls.
What makes Laurel like Nadia even more is that she is a sister in Christ. Laurel is still feeling for her ex-boyfriend Branson. She is very upset when she saw other girls flirting with him and he flirts back. Laurel is determined to do anything to win Branson’s heart back. Will Laurel find her true identity in the Lord? Will God show her the right path?
