In Lift and Separate , Wanda and Darryl continue to confront the ever-changing challenges of raising two active youngsters.
I've been reading the Baby Blues strip for years, and decided to buy all the books in the series and re-read the strips and I have really been enjoying it! This is one of the older volumes in the series, I could not believe it was from 1999/2000 because I remember reading some of the strips in the newspaper years ago! What great memories! At the time of this book Zoe is still a toddler and Hammie is an infant and Wren has yet to be! Wanda and Daryl are now well-drawn and well-developed characters as compared to the earlier volumes. Some really cute strips such as when Daryl takes his first business trip away from home since he became a father, and Zoe squashes a bug and decides there is a need for a bug "funeral!" Anyone who has been the parent of young children will identify with these strips! Despite being nearly 25 years old, the strips are not dated at all, in many aspects, the challenges of parenting early children are timeless! Any fan of the series will love this book!
