Alien hunting can get a girl killed. It can also get her a date.

High school senior Camille Robins and her best friend are determined to snag the attention of their crushes before graduation next month. Armed with red-hot outfits and killer hair, they sneak into the hottest nightclub in town -- which caters to the rich and famous, both human and alien. They end up following Erik (who is human) and Silver (who isn't) through a guarded door and are soon separated and under attack...and not the good kind.
Bad boy Erik spares Camille's life, but the two are soon being chased by gun-toting Alien Investigation and Removal agents. Camille's more confused than ever because Erik's finally showing real interest in her, but the agents are accusing him of dealing Onadyn -- a drug that ruins human lives. Suddenly, with the heat of his kiss lingering on her lips, Camille has to decide whose side she's on...and whether she's willing to put her life on the line to save Erik's.

Another good storyline from YA Alien Huntress, not as captivating for me as Red Handed but still a good, continuous flow that lets us see the story progressing forward.

I done a complete turn around with this one... A.I.R went into my bad books (and are actually still there considering their reactions and antics here), I went from disliking Erik's intent to commending him and I ended up really liking softy school girl/come young lady Camille!

I have no doubt that the younger generation will love these two books and I expect they could read them as a smaller series, for me, I like to read every book in order so I don't miss anything and these two fit in nice and snug.

I am looking forward to getting back to the Alien Huntress adult books (laughs).

Gena Showalter is a fantastic author!

Thrillingly dangerous, Deliciously seductive packed with intense actions.

Why am I always reading some books not in order? I know this is not a continuation story but in the first book of YA alien huntress there are some characters that also in here and I wanted to read so badly.
This is fast reading novel for me, one minute I started reading the second I already finished it.
I never have expect anything in this book, I thought that its just other books of paranormal-dark-seduction and the first book I read by Ms. Showalter is the Catch a Mate which is you know -more for adult. Yep, it have some romantic scenes that is considered as really for our ages (without the super cheesy stuff). And there's a lot of ACTION too. (I cant believe I have taste for reading sci-fi books with ACTION, until now!)

Anyway, Blacklisted is about 18-years-old Camille Diane Robin. She and her friend go to night club with there sizzling-hot outfits to snag the attention of their crushes. Erik the human and Silver (Oh! I love the name!) the alien. Until Camille discovered something about Erik that stuck them in running and fighting with A.I.R (Alien Investigation and Removal agents).

This is super cool book. First sci-fi book i read.
I super love the characters. Camille's cowardliness to stronger version of herself. And Erik! his totally gorgeous plus the sweet things he'd done to Camille and the poor aliens. oh, I might swoon over him. (Just read this add you'll see what I'm taking about)

I love the way how Ms. Showalater make the story amazing with alien can come and go to our planet, some are oxygen-tolerant aliens some are not (super important to the story), and like humans, some are good some are bad. Its like the aliens here are not that powerful as I thought -you know with the "Were here to dominate to your planet, humans. All of you are gonna be our slaves. whahaha!" something like that. haha
And of course, the cool gadgets and the CAR. I love the car that the author makes in here. It was awesome. (I wish someday ill have a car like that)

Blacklisted is action-packed fast-paced breathtaking paranormal that you'll surely gonna love as I did. Surely Ill give this a big 5 stars. :)

Would you be able to quit being an A.I.R. (Alien Investigation and Removal) agent into a lawless dealer in Onadyn (a drug that is used to help save the lives of aliens, but can ruin a humans life) to save a criminal alien’s innocent family members? Even if it would mean that everyone you used to know and love would end up turning against you and try to kill you now. This is the life changing decision Erik makes. Will he regret it? Blacklisted is a new and interesting twist to the sequel of Red Handed in Gena Showalter's Teen Alien Hunters series.

At first I was a bit disappointed that the book wasn’t technically a continuation of the first book and I wouldn't be able to read more about Phoenix and Ryan and their journey together. But as I read on I realized that the second book was just as thrilling as the first book and maybe even better. This time it was about Erik, who was a secondary character in Red Handed, and how one day he sees’s an alien family who is unable to purchase Onadyn because the dad/husband of the family was a criminal and now the family was being punished too. They were left to die. As Erik is watching the alien family slowly and painfully dying he realizes that maybe A.I.R. was not where he belonged. That he should be helping the innocent aliens and not just the humans. It was interesting to see things from an entirely different point of view than the first book, where aliens were completely bad. Showalter’s book proves that there are two sides to every story.

If you read the first book, I guarantee that you will enjoy reading the second book just as well. If you haven’t read Red Handed already, I highly recommend you do so you can read Blacklisted as well!

Blacklisted centers around an ordinary girl named Camille with a huge crush on Erik, who goes to her high school. She and her best friend sneak into a nightclub that they heard he was going to be. Erik isn't happy to see her because he's involved with drugs, and he needs to lose the tail of A.I.R. agents watching him. Unfortunately Camille proves to be more resourceful than he expected. Erik has a reason for why he's doing what he does, and he doesn't want to involve an innocent, but her actions means A.I.R is now after them both. This was an interesting story because it looked at the situation from a different angle - where A.I.R. and laws that condemn the guilty can also condemn the innocent at the same time. In this story the actions of A.I.R. were bullheaded from this point of view. An interesting point and written nicely, but I preferred Red Handed, the book previous to this one (though you don't have to read them in that order). I think my main issue was that I found Camille to be silly from the beginning for doggedly pursuing Erik, and I just couldn't shake this view of her as foolish and impulsive. Even when she continued to trust and believe Erik, I thought - in real life this would be a parent's nightmare - their daughter romanticizing a drug dealer. In real life he wouldn't really be a good guy. This book also tied up really quickly and easily in the last few pages which I had real trouble with as well. P.S. This book is for mature teen readers: there are sexual situations.

Gena Showalter's "Blacklisted" is a YA novel set in the Alien Huntress world. Our hero is Erik, who was a secondary character in the previous book, "Red Handed." When we saw him last, he was on the run, branded a drug dealer. His heroine is 18 year-old Camille, a regular girl with a crush on the wrong boy. She tries to get close to Erik, and gets thrown inside a world she didn't know existed.

PLOT SPOILERS:
Camille has an uber-crush on Erik, who she has seen in the halls of high school. She and a friend follow him to a club one night and she gets caught up in a bust designed to bring him down. She ends up on the run with Erik, learning he's not a bad guy after all. In fact, he has sacrificed his good name to help aliens who need the drug he's selling to survive.

WHAT WORKS:
I liked seeing Phoenix and the other girls featured in Red Handed. Even Ryan and Mia showed up --and I'm a sucker for reoccurring characters in a series. The love scene was sweet and slightly racier than I thought I would get in a YA... but VERY tame compared to most Showalter books.

WHAT DIDN'T:
My only gripe with this book was that it flew by and seemed short. I can't be sure without a word count... maybe it just went so fast because it was a good and an easy read.

OVERALL:
I liked it. I give it 4 stars, even though I would have loved to see Camille and Erik take that next step.

I'm not going to lie, initially I was disappointed when I first started reading BLACKLISTED (YA Alien Huntress #2) and realized that the main characters Pheonix and the other hunters from the first book barely made a showing. But it wasn't long before I became completely immersed in Erik and Camille's story. For me really, this second installment felt more like a companion book then a sequel.. although obviously connected to the first book, RED HANDED, the focus completely shifted from training and hunting dangerous predatory aliens to hunting one of their own. There are aliens in this book, but the storyline revolves around the alien drug Onadyn, that we were first introduced to in book one; after A.I.R. Agent Erik Trinity is accused of being a dealer of the illegal and dangerous substance.

Although there is a lot less alien hunting and fighting, there is still no shortage of action and romance as Erik is on the run and fighting for a cause he believes in. But all of Erik secrets put the life of innocent girl in danger. Is Erik really a bad guy?.. Should Camille trust her instincts about the boy she's been crushing on for months?.. or is her obsession with this beautiful guy she barley knows going to get her killed?

Even with the considerable change in feel and direction this second book took, I really enjoyed it on it's own merit. Showatler did a fantastic job showing a completely different point of view without losing the readers interest and although I'd recommend reading RED HANDED before picking up BLACKLISTED, it isn't 100% necessary to following the story.

Okay, I had to read this book because is was part of the Alien Huntress series BUT it is from the Young Adult section.
I guess this can be considered "G" rated compared to some of Gena's other works.
It was however a sweet story with action, mystery and a little heat. There was one "O" in the book.
Definately worth the read if you are taking in all the Huntress series.

Read on...

Tengo que admitir que me gusta más la saga original que esta versión YA. No es que haya sido un mal libro, es solo que las otras historias son más completas y ésta se me hizo como un resumen, como una historia corta....

Definitely loved it, another marvelous book written by Showalter. I've read it twice and still want to read it again. I loved the main characters and the plot of the story, also the fact that my favorite characters from the fist book showed up in this one.

Just as fast-paced and exciting as it’s predecessor, Blacklisted is an excellent addition to Gena Showalter’s Alien Huntress YA series. Favourite characters are back and new ones are created, though this time readers will find themselves on the opposite side of the agency known as ‘A.I.R.’

This one features on Erik Trinity – or as he’s now called, Erik Troy – and a young 18 year old girl by the name of Camille Robins, who is now our heroine. Fans of the previous couple, Phoenix and Ryan, will be pleased to see them return, albeit in a very different light. It’s been some time since the events of Red Handed took place and a lot has unfolded since our last visit to the amazing world Gena Showalter has managed to create.

Readers will get a look at what it’s like to be on the other end of A.I.R. – the bad side. Faced with an unstoppable force, will Camille and Erik be able to last? It’s this question that drives the story, as the two struggle to get to know each other (Camille learning that the guy she’s crushed on isn’t exactly what she’d thought initially) while escaping the menacing agents Erik previously trained with.

I had just as much fun reading this one as I did the first – and like it, it was a quick read that I was able to do in very little time. I’m quite disappointed, actually, that Gena Showalter hasn’t continued with the YA Alien Huntress series since this ones release in 2007. I really hope she’ll change her mind and another will come out soon. I would definitely pick it up!

Like Red Handed, this isn’t a ‘vanilla’ story and it explores teen sexual tension and all that other stuff we’ve come to expect in Showalter’s world. Basically, don’t set your expectations any higher or lower than you did with Red Handed, as both are much of the same. I would also recommend reading this one even if you haven’t read the first. Each has it’s own story – but with familiar characters – but the world building is explained enough for fresh eyes to start with Blacklisted. I, actually by mistake, read this one before Red Handed a few years ago and recall thoroughly enjoying it despite not being familiar with the first book.

I’m really happy that those few years haven’t changed my opinion of this short but sweet series!

Recommended to: Fans of Red Handed will like this one, as will new readers not familiar with the first book. If you want action, romance and a dash of sci-fi, all while falling under the canopy of YA, then this is the book for you.

Jenže nastaly potíže v ráji... no prostě znáte to...

This was the second book in the Teen Alien Huntress series by Gena Showalter. As far as I could find there are not anymore young adult books planned in the Alien Huntress series at this time. I didn't like this book nearly as much as the first one, Redhanded, but it was okay.

Camille Robins and her girlfriend go to a nightclub chasing after some boys from high school. Camille is interested in Erik (who was in Redhanded) and is ecstatic when he passes her a note in the club. When she finds out the note is only a blank napkin it pisses her off, so she follows him into a back section of the club. There she is attacked and drawn into Erik's illegal activities. Erik and Camille end up fleeing for their lives trying to outrun AIR agents.

I didn't like this book nearly as much as "Redhanded". My biggest problem was Camille. She is cowardly (which she admits to herself), somewhat whiny, and I found her to be annoying. Erik is, in general, kind of a jerk. Like with many other of Showalter's books Erik ends up being better in the end, but I still didn't like him much. The relationship between him and Camille felt forced and unrealistic.

I also didn't like that the main premise of this book was that Camille wanted Erik. At least in "Redhanded" Pheonix was trying to beat her addiction and make it through A.I.R. training; in "Redhanded" her relationship with Ryan was part of the story not the whole story. Don't get me wrong there is some plot outside of Camille and Erik, but it is pretty thin.

Additionally I thought the book was wrapped up really quick and a little too conveniently. It was unreal how all these strange coincidences happened all at once so that the story could be end quickly, almost as if Showalter had to hurry and get this book done. In general it made for an unsatisfying story.

The positive points were that Showalter has created an interesting world here, the actions scenes were well done (although much fewer than in "Redhanded"), and the book was a quick, easy read. In the end it was an okay read, definitely nothing to write home about, but a quick diversion. I would definitely read "Redhanded" first since that is, by far, the better of the two books.

Review by Cassandra from Book Talk

High school seniors Camille Robins and her best friend are determined to win the attention of their crushes by whatever means necessary. While dressed in hot outfits and killer hair, they manage to sneak into the hottest nightclub in town that caters to both human and alien. They end up tracking down Erik (a human) and Silver (an alien) and then following through a guarded door, to then be separated and attacked. Bad boy Erik saves and spares Camille's life, but now she's in even more danger. Alien Investigation and Removal agents and hot on their trail and Camille is not only running for her life but trying to make sense of Erik's sudden attraction to her. Camille soon learns to reason they are running, Erik is being accused of dealing Onadyn, an other-world drug that ruins human lives. With passion heating between these two, Camille has to decide who's side she's on and if she's willing to put her life on the line to save Erik's.

This is a great book that picks up after Red Handed. You get a glimpse at some old characters, get to know more about Erik, and get to meet Camille. The message throughout this book is a great one to me. It shows that sometimes people have to stand up and do something that may be considered wrong to make sure something right gets done. The strive to help others, even when it hurts the ones helping, shows that these characters are true heroes. You also get a chance to see A.I.R. from the other side of the law and the way they deal with captives. The plans they come up with to escape and avoid detection are very creative and brilliant while also be entertaining. I enjoyed Erik's protectiveness and caring for Camille, but I also enjoyed her character change. From someone who is terrified of pain and being in trouble, she learns there are some things worth enduring pain. For me the love and relationship came on a little too quick. I normally prefer when the characters slowly build to love and it ends up hitting them upside the head. Another thing that became a little annoying was the ex-girlfriend drama. It wasn't too big of a deal so I was able to ignore it. Otherwise, this was another good book in this series.

When I was in High School I was a big fan of MTV Books. They started with "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and moved forward with one hit and then another. I wouldn't be much of a reader today had I not gotten hooked these books in High School.

As I moved on to college I kind of forgot about the Simon Says Pocket books I used to adore. While I was in the dark, over a hundred new ones came out. Some sound far too young adult for me to enjoy, but others sound downright exciting!

I found Gina Showalter's Blacklisted in the bargain bin at Borders for $3.99. I was super excited to pick it up and ended up reading it almost right away. The book only took a few hours to read, and there was never a dull moment, that is for sure.

While I don't normally jump for supernatural thrillers, I decided to give it a try. I actually really really enjoyed it!

The book opens in a time long after a war between "Outers" aka-Aliens, and humans have had a war. The humans win, but allow outers to stay put as long as they behave. There is an organization similar to the FBI or Secret Service, called A.I.R. or Alien Investigation and Removal Agency. Their primary job is to find Aliens who aren't abiding by the law and to remove them from the planet. Once they have done that they have to go inform the families of that alien that they too are no longer permitted to stay.

A lot of those aliens have to stay though, their planets have been destroyed and so they have nowhere else to go. Their big problem now is that the government will no longer supply them with Onadyn, a life saving drug that keep non-oxygen tolerant species alive. There is an underground drug ring to supply them with the drug, unfortunately humans have found a way to abuse it, so the government is "removing" anyone who is caught with the drug.

Camille, a sprightly little school girl follows her crush to a club and ends up in a major misunderstanding. She is being hunted by A.I.R. for suspected dealing of Onadyn. Her crush Erik is finally noticing her, but he has a lot of secrets, and she isn't sure if she can handle them all. Can she find true love on the Lam?

Blacklisted is the second novel in Gena Showalter's young adult Alien Huntress series. In Red Handed, the first novel, we met Phoenix, a fiesty girl who was recruited to serve in the AIR - Alien Investigation and Removal - a law enforcement organization established to protect humans after aliens came to earth and started living side by side with them.

Blacklisted follows Erik, a recruit we met in Red Handed. He finds himself on the other side of the law. Erik now sells Onadyn, a drug needed by some aliens to live on earth and the drug of choice for teenagers in this future world. Camille, a girl that has had a crush on Erik for a long time, gets sucked into his world and finds out sometimes you need to do bad things for a good reason.

Camille let her best friend talk her into going to a hot club because they overheard Erik and his best friend say they were going to be there. Erik is extremely aware of Camille's presence and inadvertantly pulls her into his fight against the AIR.

Aliens who need Onadyn to live in our atmosphere must get it from official dispensaries, however not all aliens can afford it and eventually they die. Erik couldn't stand by and watch this happen. He developed a friendship with an alien whose father manufactures Onadyn illegally and begins to transport it for him.

The trouble is, the AIR knows what Erik is up to and now they think Camille is involved as well. After many dangerous chases and escapes, Erik and Camille grow closer and attempt to right the wrongs of this futuristic society.

This series is a great choice for any sci-fi fan. Gena Showalter is definately a young adult author to keep an eye on. She has also written Oh My Goth which is also a sci-fi book.

I can safely say that the cover was NOT what got me to take this book off the library shelves. There's something about the goth element suddenly introduced to blue or any other colour but red and the tone white (yes, i'm one of THOSE people) that irks me. But the type caught me off guard and i turned for the back and read the blurb. I think i've read Gena Showalter books before, but i'm not sure.

I think i'm somehow soft to a book when it starts off with two underaged American girls trying to get their way into a club. It excites me and at the same time i think, "um...will it KILL you not to destroy your livers before you're 30?". Throw in some aliens into the mix and hey presto, i'm in for the ride.

Considering the physical appearance of the book, pocket-sized, thin, with an MTV label on the back, and the author of Oh My Goth i didn't really have a high expectation for the book. I don't know why.

Then i started reading. Considering i personally, is now 20, and is having the same if not worse troubles finding a date as the 18 year old heroine, i feel immensely proud and connected to the book. Add a runaway agent with a quote, "sometimes there are good reasons to do bad things" and i am hooked.

Although, i must admit i definitely did NOT expect the slightly lime content at all. But it was a welcome understanding considering where the story was going, and the dialogue went along really well.

Now excuse me, whilst i look around aimlessly for my own secret agent BF. xD

This second book in the TEEN ALIEN HUNTRESS series, following RED HANDED, is not a direct continuation of that story. Familiar characters make an appearance, but really this is just another book taking place in that same well-created world of the first. That said, it's well worth reading, too!

BLACKLISTED is about Camille, who is a pretty average teenage girl. With her best friend, Shanel, she sneaks into a nightclub, trying to catch the attention of her crush. Camille's persistence, however, leads them into a situation that they were not anticipating when they came to the club.

Soon, after getting in the middle of a fight in a high security area that isn't really part of the club they came to see, Camille and Erik are on the run from AIR (Alien Investigation and Removal) agents, while Shanel and Silver manage to elude them. Erik's finally noticing Camille, so she's inclined to help him out, but the AIR agents are accusing him of something that she definitely doesn't want to be a part of.

What's a girl to do?

BLACKLISTED is just as action-packed and fast-paced as the first book in the series, and I think the characters might even be a little better! I love the way Gena Showalter is able to deal with aliens without being cliched or cheesy; her books are very original, not exactly Star Trek. This is a fun, interesting series that is sure to appeal to readers!!

After Erik Trinity had been kicked out of the A.I.R. (Alien Investigation and Removal) for being caught with Onadyn (a drug designed for alien use), he became Erik Troy and went back to school in the hopes of finding a new source for Onadyn. He found one and a new friend in an alien named Silver. Following the guy she was crushing on to a nightclub had sounded like a good idea when Camille Robins and her friend Shanel started the night out. When Erik had given her a blank napkin and then disappeared into a private hall, she was angry thinking that he had been making fun of her. Little did she know that by following him, A.I.R. was now watching her under the impression that she was a drug dealer also.

Other than the main character being a teen (18), I am not sure why this book has been listed as Young Adult by some with the violence (which isn’t that much), the swearing (F*-bombs) and the sexual content, I would really recommend not letting younger than 18 read it. That being said, as a sci-fi romance, this was a fast paced second book in the Teen Alien Huntress series that kind of showed the other side. It didn’t rehash all the training of the first, but it did through in some of the characters like Phoenix, Ryan, Cara and Mia even if it put them as the bad guys (sorry if that spoils something). I am unsatisfied with the ending, the problem felt only partially solved and seemed to have left Camille and Erik hanging - what happened next?

I've read the YA Alien Huntress series in one day and I loved it!!! I really liked the first one, Red Handed, but this one was much better for me.

Blacklisted was too short. That is a damn shame but it was so good! This is Erik's story, we see him in book #1 but we don't really know him... well let me tell ya, I fell in love. Erik was strong, brave, loyal, loving... I did not know what to expect from Blacklisted because he was against the good guys in it and against the other characters that I came to love. But Gena did not let me down. Erik did everything for the good reasons and that was so brave of him because he lost everything doing it. His character was awesome.

Camille was so sweet and naive. She was just really insecure and shy but I loved her too. She just wanted Erik to notice her and well...he did notice her but that came with all the Alien Investigation and Removal agents chasing them!

They had such a sweet and passionate relationship, this book was way more heated than the first one, me likey! I was just a bit disappointed because the end went really fast, I was hoping to see more... I was also glad to see more (not enough) of Mia, Phoenix, Ryan, Kitten...unfortunately Cara (Erik's ex). I was gloating at the end because she knew that Erik was innocent and she regretted dumping him but it.was.too.late!

Such a fantastic book, and a good storyline too! I can't wait to read the Alien Huntress series now.

Onadyn may be the addiction that ruins human lives, but for some species of alien it is vital. Their bodies can't handle this planet's oxygen, so Onadyn is a medication that saves them from death. Former Alien Investigation and Removal agent Erik Trinity knows this, and he doesn't understand why an entire family should be robbed of their government-issued Onadyn just because they had one bad egg in their family.

This book has heart, issues and something to say. Social commentary really appeals to me in fiction, and the parallels you can draw to contemporary society are worth pondering. While the novel's predecessor, Red Handed, had a designated big baddie without a clear motive, Blacklisted is more about fighting the law for excellent reasons, and forcing AIR to rethink their stance.

Camille Robins is the innocent caught up in it all when she follows Erik at an elite nightclub, and doing so makes her a target for AIR, too. The more she learns of how Outers are suffering without their Onadyn, she's determined to change the law. Sure it seems kind of odd that she gets finger-banged while aliens are suffocating to death, but the author is a romance writer after all.

For fabulous world-building, how power corrupts, and thoughtful issues, look no further than Blacklisted for a novel with surprising depth.

I liked book 1 in the series but I wasn't particularly blown away by it. For all the action and alien-style shenanigans, I thought it lacked tension as far as the "will she, won't she" make it in this alien hunting group. This book, though, didn't have that problem. When the action starts moving, it builds and builds and builds the tension until things reach critical and pop. Annnnnd... there's some sexy touching, which totally works for me. TOTALLY.

In the beginning, Camille is sweet and entirely forgettable. Her plan to dress sexy and try to attract the attention of Erik is... not the smartest, in my opinion. She takes some rather stupid risks (most at the urging of her friend) and ends up in the middle of something that she was entirely unprepared for. Good thing that Erik is a stand-up guy and takes her under his wing or she would have been toast before things really started getting good. I liked the two of them together. I liked them a lot.

Bottom line: A much stronger entry that book 1. I liked both Erik and Camille. I liked that Camille found herself when push came to shove. Highly enjoyable.

Alright...I have to be honest. I didnt really want to read this. After reading the back cover and believing Erik could betray AIR I couldnt imagine liking him and cheering him on like I would with Ryan. Mmmm Ryaaan..... Oaky, sorry Im back.

This ended up being really good, with a great cause to it. Hoorah to Erik and Camille! For standing up for what you believe in no matter what happens.

I do have to say that I am really dissapointed in everyone in AIR for not listening to Erik when this whole issue arrose in the first place. His so called "girlfriend" not sticking up for him. What kind of person does that with someone they love.

Anyway. The action and romantic drama is a must read. Erik ends up warming your heart and rooting for him in the end. I am sooooo glad things worked out.

On a side note. I wish that the endings were not so obruptly wrapped up. I want to know a little past the last blast of action. Did they get together, (obviously) But I want to be there too. I went through the drama, Iw ant some of the happy endings too!!

Blacklisted is one of those teen books that starts you off with a normal teenager who suddenly ends up in a bizarre situation, much like in All-American Girl by Meg Cabot. In this novel, Camille Robins with her best friend, Shanel Stacy, sneak into a nightclub and they end up getting a little attached to two boys whom they have just met—Erik and Silver. While at the nightclub, Camille and Shanel get involved with the Alien Investigation and Removal team! It is a very strange twist, especially when one of the boys is an alien.
This was a really interesting book because there’s a part in the story where Camille has the opportunity to hand Erik and Silver in to the Alien Investigation and Removal team but then she decides not to because “sometimes good people have to do bad things.” I think this was a big change in Camille’s character because she actually did something that she thought was right instead of just doing things that she wanted to do.

This book was about a girl named Camille and how her last year in high school surprises her and her friend. They wanted to do something special as they spend their time in high school for the last year and then moving to college. One day, they decide to go to the "hottest" nightclub in their town and there is where they meet two guys. One guy was named Erik and the other was Silver. What the two girls didn't know was that one of these guys were human and the other was alien. As the book progresses, the adventure of finding out who is who is decided upon their hands and it varied from what they thought to what they did think. This book was interesting because it grasped my attention and was also fun to read.

Gena Showalter proves me again that she's one of the greatest authors out there! Though Erik's physical change was kind of a shock at the beginning (I was still expecting the cute guy with green eyes and dark hair), it turned out to be okay. His reasons to do this go beyond skin-deep matters, which somewhat at the middle in the book start being obvious, and they just show how good he is.
The story is fast-paced and enjoyable--the car chasing, the fights, the aliens, the weapons and, of course, the pinch of romance makes it a very fun book to read. It won't take you more than a couple of hours to finish it. But I have to say that "Red Handed" is still my favorite one.

Okay, so I thought this book was the first in Gena Showalter's Alien Huntress series, but I guess not... I read this book first (I haven't gotten to Red Handed yet). Either way, I didn't find anything off about the storytelling -- no places where I didn't understand something.

Anyway, after reading OH MY GOTH, I was not expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did -- I'm surprised that I even gave Gena Showalter another try, thinking back on it. But I'm glad I did. It was such a step up in writing and characterization to me. I'm a little sad that I've read on other reviews that this is apparently the last book...? I definitely wouldn't mind reading more if Gena is willing to write it.
