Raw Foods Bible

An ever-increasing number of people in the United States and abroad refer to themselves as Raw or Living Foodists. In the pages to follow, I share scientific documentation gathered from such sources as medical dictionaries, books authored by physicians, researchers, mystics, the Archives of the Vatican, and even the Old Testament. Okay. I am not all 100% on board with this raw fooder - as I am with Alissa Cohen. Sommers has a percentage of crackpot about him, it seems. HOWEVER - he is providing a good basis for why someone might want to go raw, when taken with a grain of salt. Also, several of the recipes - including Carob Cheesecake - look quite enticing.

This was a really good basic informational book -- focuses on the why and not so much the how. It really is basic so it is super quick to read. The last half of the book is recipes. I haven't tried any yet but hope to soon.

So far, I can say this is the most straight-forward, comprehensive nutritional guide (theory + practice + soul) I have read.
