Well I dig menages. But the problem here was more the sloppy BDSM aspect. It's hella sexy when done well. But if it lacks substance, palpable connection btwn the characters, and skilled writing; nothing can bring on dry heaving faster. And Leah Brooke's writing is always of the lower grade IMO. It excels in kink (at times), but never on quality and this one was especially random.

The sister of a woman who's chosen to settle in Desire comes for a short visit. Her Darling sister, doesn't warn her that the town is ruled by bdsm; including her as long as she's there.

Before you even meet her, there's a subtext discussion btwn guys about how she's pretty but unfeeling aka a bitch. Two brothers go all "you're mine" pushy on her on sight. Because our heroine needs haunted by a past emotionally abusive rela and is scared of men; THIS IS JUST WHAT SHE NEEDS, so her loving sister leaves her alone with them. They proceed to tell her the main rules of the town.
That all women in town have to obey all men in town or else they'll be punished. And tell it's for her own protection. Women are cherished. it's sorta like the chicken and the egg, they dominate the women because it makes em happy; and vice versa lol. Later on her Bro in law sorta outright pimps her off to them. You know the deal gets her drunk, then the boys make a surprise visit, and he entrusts her "care" to them. *gag*

Here's the thing if that would've been it, I could've liked it ( if well executed anyways). But along with the sloppy plot, it felt like women had to pre-anticipate every and anything their men would expect of them and fall in line or else. For example driving out of the state without taking common sense safety precautions is equal to changing a tire. Yup you read me right. A # of the dudes damn near levitated and gave birth; because she changed her own tire. It was how they responded that rubbed me wrong, there was no charm to it. If it was " You're breaking my heart Darlin', You should've let me do that for you.", it would've been hot. Instead of " “Are you crazy? Move aside!" (that's a direct quote btw) " Um I mean.... you could have hurt yourself. ". That tone follows throughout the tale. It feels less like loving dominance than mocking condescension. Also all the likable/interesting aspects of her character are made out to be flaws...bleh. I could go on and on.

I love a good ménage' story, but this was not a good one!

An emotionally abused woman is not going to fall into a relationship two overbearing men, because they say so. I don't care how sexy they are. I realize this is all make believe and I need to suspend a bit of reality, but come on the author didn't give her readers enough of a back story to really get into the story.

The men of Desire OK want their woman completely and totally dependant on them for everything. And to me that is just not sexy! AT ALL!

Yes I read the review before I bought these e-books. I think maybe I wanted the men of Desire to be a little like the McKay and West brothers in Lorelei James Rough Riders Series. They are most definitely not!

Not a bad smutty little read if you're in the mood. The town of Desire, Oklahoma is one unbelievable place, where most of the male population is either a Dom or is involved in a ménage relationship. The men have a sort of chauvinistic yet over-the-top protective and "I'll-do-anything-to-please-her" attitude toward their women. The cardinal rule seems to be don't you ever harm your woman (unless you're spanking her during love play), or there'll be hell to pay (from the entire male community).

In this story, Jesse Tyler (40-ish), is finally coming to visit her sister Nat and her husband Jake in Desire. Jesse's recently divorced from her selfish (and lousy lover) husband Brian, and now that her son Alex (the only thing that brings her joy) is away at college, she's finally able to visit her older sister. While visiting her sis she meets studly brothers/ranchers Clay and Rio, who are looking to find "the one" that they can share, and they take an instant shine to the skittish Jesse. She may be it!

Not much longer after they say "how do you do", Clay and Rio have her spread out in the front seat of their truck (I still don't know how Clay managed to drive while doing all that to Jesse), and "stake their claim" to her. Jesse has some doubts--she's an independant woman, by God, and she doesn't know if she can deal with their possessiveness! But oh my, the things they do to her....

Soooo, after giving in to the domineering (but sweet) brothers (who have an obsession with Jesse's a**--"just imagine what it's going to feel like when we get our c**** inside that tight a**"), Jesse realizes what she's been missing all these years, and makes plans to move to Desire. She gets best friend and business partner (fragrances and body lotions) Kelly (a victim of an abusive boyfriend)to agree to set up shop in Desire. But while making plans with Kelly, the brothers misconstrue something they hear Jesse say, and then the big misunderstanding begins. There's hurt feelings all around, the realtionship disolves, and then Jesse's life is threatened. Will the brothers be able to win back Jesse's trust (and love)? Or has she had it with these overbearing (but sexy!) lunkheads?

What can I say? For the most part, this book entertained me. And I was looking for a break from a particularly boring book that I'm trying to finish. This book moved fast, the sex was pretty hot, the characters were mostly likable (although Jesse had a TSTL moment near the mildly suspenseful ending) and it didn't tax my brain. And that was what I was looking for. If you can deal with all that, and have the ability to check your disbelief at the door, then this may be the book for you. 3 1/2 stars

Warning: This book contains graphic language, explicit sex, including oral and anal; m/f/m menage scenes; some light spanking, a public m/f/m three-way (not the Hs/h), mild violence, and the use of a sex toy. Not for the faint of heart!

When I was younger I devoured books like Gone with the Wind ... then I discovered Sweet Valley High and its ilk before moving onto the likes of Barbara Cartland ... in my twenties and thirties, I discovered Anne McCaffrey, John Wyndham, Clive Cussler, etc before moving back towards the romance genre with Janet Evanovich and the Twilight books ... add the purchase of an e-reader and I discovered the world of erotic romance.

I first read this book a couple of years ago as I fully immersed myself in this newly discovered (to me) genre ... and I loved it! Hot smex, attentive, courteous lovers, multiple orgasms ... what more could a reader want right? So I rated it 4 stars, bought the rest of the books in the series, and avidly devoured them ... 2 years and over 1000 books later, I'd have to say that this book no longer makes me go "WOW" ... why do all these heroines need so much frickin' rescuing? Why does courtesy (from the men) have to be accompanied by so much chauvinistic bullshit? Why do these women spring a leak in their nether regions as soon as a man quirks an eyebrow? And finally, why the hell do people think disciplinary spankings (for changing a tyre no less *eye roll*) equals consensual BDSM???

To be honest, if you're new to erotica, books like this one are probably going to be enjoyable ... BUT ... once you've taken the training wheels off your exploration into the world of erotic romance with a touch of kink; if you want to read about strong characters submitting with grace while maintaining their independence; head over to the M/M shelf because those boys are the shit!

Holy Stone Ages Batman! Okay, so I rated this one high for originality and hot sex. Make no mistake about it though, this is SMUT! If u are looking for some awesome backstory with a riveting plot, then this is not the book for you. If you are looking for a trashy, easy read that make u want to be dominated by hot men, then DING! DING! DING! We have a winner!

I liked the unique setting...middle America-alternative lifestyles town where bare bottomed spankings are the norm as disiplinary action for misbehaving females. Desire, OK is a place where women are treasured as well as controlled by dominant men in interesting combinations of relationships. F/M-D/s, F/M/M/M, F/M/M...you get the idea. There is a whole lot of dominating going on...

I'm giving this five stars because I absolutely love all of Leah Brooke's stories and even though her writing is simple and not going to be praised down the centuries, I just find her stories to be engaging, straight forward and just a plain enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

The Desire series is set in the mythical (bummer!) town of Desire being made up of mostly menage or BDSM relationships. The town was set up as a place for people to have these types of relationships without worry of outside interference and prejudices. The men cosset and adore and protect their women. The women enjoy great sex and companionship, and feel well-loved, safe and protected. Some relationships are BDSM, but the majority of them are polyamorous with multiple men and one woman. I suppose it's a rose coloured glasses situation, but it sure would be nice to think a town like this could exist.

I just enjoy these stories so much! I know when I pick up one of Leah's books I'm going to not put it down till I've finished it! They are not long novels, but long enough to develop the characters and you spend enough time with them to come to like them very much. Although I do enjoy the BDSM ones, I am not such a fan of it, I absolutely love the menage books. At the time of writing this review she has put out five Desire books, two BDSM and three menage. The next one is menage, and I just can't wait!

So basically the five stars reflects my overall feeling of enjoyment of the book/series, rather than the literary value, if you know what I mean! I wish Leah would bring these out much quicker, I've reread these so many time, I need more new ones!

Is the writing in this book particularly good? No. Is the world set up in this series batshit crazy? Yes. Did I kind of enjoy this anyway? Also yes.

I normally really love these types of books, menages, set in a town that embraces them. I usually fly through them, eager for the next one. However this one turned me off from the start. Part of it was the guys chatting, part of it was how cold Jessie was. When Jessie had a couple too many margs she explained a bit why she came off cold and it made sense, however it didn't make me like her any better. Another thing that didn't work for me was how high handed Clay and Rio were with Jessie from the start. Jessie was clueless about menage and the "rules" of Desire, yet they proceeded to start to lecture her right away. In the end this one wasn't for me.

I feel rather churlish giving this book only two stars, but any higher rating and I'd feel like I'd caved. This is a book I would have adored two years ago (I could just say, "ditto" to Beck's very well written review), but now it reads like a satire of BDSM menage romances. The men are OTT perfect in looks, size (yes, thattoo!), wealth, sexual finesse, and devotion to "their women". Yet with all that wonderful female fantasy fodder, I'd have run screaming from Desire as fast as possible. Yes, it is hot, and yes, the men are hunky, but that level of control would make me break out in hives. Frankly, I feel manipulated.

This story isn't badly written and I like fairy tales as well as the next woman (think Cinderella with two princes and you're pretty close), but the speed at which Clay and Rio decided Jesse was "theirs" was ludicrous, and worse yet was the speed with which Jesse made a 180 shift in her thinking from fear to love. I'm pretty sure I have whiplash, and definitely a headache from excessive eye rolling. I guess the real problem for me was the story crossed over the line from sexy fantasy to scary (and potentially stalkerish) behavior on the part of all the men in Desire. I just couldn't let go of my disbelief and sink into the fun of a whole town devoted to women.

As for the BDSM aspects, they didn't work for me either. There was a lot of spanking threatened (as pointed out by another reviewer, the "crimes" deserving of a spanking were silly things like wanting to change your own tire), but very little follow through which just made the Doms come off as pretty wussy in my view. No, the BDSM was so sugary and light as to be cavity inducing.

On top of all that, the author chose two plot types I can't stand. First was the, "overheard conversation leading to misunderstanding" trope, and next was TSTL behavior by the heroine. Jesse's character in particular just wasn't consistent. She went from an intelligent, independent, and cautious (overly so) woman, to someone who was just idiotically foolhardy. The author did not let her characters get in the way of her story, and it showed.

I could go on with many examples, but I've already been far too snarky as it is. With all the glowing reviews, I decided to review it as I saw it, but I did finish the story which tells me it wasn't all bad - not by a long shot.

In Desire, Oklahoma, women are spanked when they disobey, a woman could have two to three husbands (usually brothers), and protecting the women are the men's main concern. While the men are mostly neanderthals when it comes to women's safety, they make up for it in a lot of ways. There are rules in this town as dictated by the founding fathers and they stick to it religiously.

Jesse Tyler came to visit her sister Nat in Desire and it's been years since they've seen each other. Because of her marriage, she doesn't smile, and there's no twinkle in her eye, very different from the Jesse her sister has known. She is an independent woman who built her business from scratch, with her partner Kelly. She also knows how to change her flat tire.

Clay and Rio Erickson are brothers who always knew they want to share a woman. They tried separate marriages before and that didn't work. They now have sons in college and whenever they see how happy their other friends are, they are waiting and searching for the one woman to spend the rest of their lives with. When they saw Jesse, they were goners.

This type of story is for someone who wants a quick erotica fix. It has an average story, spiced up with suspense, since Jesse's ex is haunting her and threatening her life. The "romance" part doesn't have flowers in it. The men's bedroom skills make the heroine lose her mind until she agrees to what they want - but that doesn't mean she lost her self and identity, she's still a spitfire who always makes it difficult for both of them. It's a cycle.

Is there a negative star review?? I need one, as well as a DNF option on what your currently reading section. I love hot doms, sexy possessive threesome's, hot steamy times but and this is a gigantic BUT, I also need a good story, good character connections and no insta love. I mean love at FIRST sight um..NO! Attraction, lust YES. This is definately more like the mommy porn everyone kept accusing other books as. I'm all about erotic romance but ya gotta have filler, a strong story, a connection between the characters and the reader something other than constant sex with grown as* adults who have lived, who supposedly has children...give us a story! . With this read I found I was skipping over all the sex to just try and find the story. Not 30% in and I realized it didn't really have one. Boo this is no Nicole Edwards read people. Save your time and money, well unless you want to read nothing but oK sex scenes.

The cover picture pretty well tells it all... 1 naked lady and 2 hunky guys.

This is unabashed menage erotica. The premise is interesting [although unbelievable:] and the plot [older divorcee isn't looking for love with another man, let alone two, meets two who ARE looking for the love of their lives...:] is frequently interrupted for mattress tests. My main complaint though is the FREQUENT occurrences of typos - sort of makes you wonder if it was typeset by monkeys.

*** Leah Brooke was a new author for me when I began this series !
I loved this story! Jessica, 40, Clay and Rio ! She works the characters well, weaves a good story, and you feel connected. It begins a bit fast, but was necessary to the story. I was so tuned into the erotic sex scenes, I was surprised at myself. I got the other books in this series also. We always get hot sexiness, good adventures, and wonderful characters.
That shows how much I liked them. Enjoy!

Ok so here's the thing, this series has promise, I enjoyed some (ok ok most) of the bedroom scenes. I just think that the author could have used the dominance more hot and less over bearing.

I like the thought of Desire but I really really really hope it's not just male Doms, seriously how about some equal opportunity bondage?

Steamy sexy read. A bit high handed with the whole a woman needs a man to take care of her thing. Other than that I am so there!

It had several very emotional scenes and a really interesting story. I can't wait to see more of this series!

First time I read this I actually enjoyed it, but upon reread this book just isn’t good. I can suspend my disbelief about the town and how controlling (and that’s putting it mildly) the men are and even the sometimes cringey dialog. But my issue is with our heroine, I felt like at times I was reading about a 15 year old throwing a temper tantrum and not a 40 year old women with a college aged child. And to make it even worse she’s supposed to be a very intelligent person and then proceeds to do something so incredibly stupid at the climax of the book that I genuinely considered DNFing it with only a chapter left. If you wanna quick read and you standards are pretty low, give this book a try. Otherwise this is a definite pass.

Jesse has left her trainwreck loveless marriage. She decides to go and visit her big sister Nat who lives in Desire, Oklahoma. She has no idea she is walking into a town full of Doms that commonly practice group marriage. Brothers Clay and Rio are immediately taken with Jesse and quickly determine that she is the woman they have always wanted. It's not all hot sex and rainbows though. A misunderstanding, Jesse's ex, and the criminal he owes money to will threaten to tear them apart. A very enjoyable read. I'll be back to visit Desire again.

I rarely write reviews because I do not wish to taint others perceptions with my own thoughts unless specifically asked; However, I do occasionally come across a book that is so bad that I feel it is my civic duty to speak up so that I might save other book fiends from the torture that I have faced, so here it goes:
RUN FAR AND RUN FAST...DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.....DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME......DO NOT WASTE YOUR BRAINCELLS....Sadly I was not warned....I took a leap of faith and could feel each individual brain cell melt away as I read this "Book". These 40+ year old characters read like high school twits and the whole he-man thing (which i actually LOVE) takes more finesse than Leah Brooke is capable of. I am well aware that may seem harsh to some but what else can I say when you get to page Ten of a book and the "Heroes" decide to verbally and physically force their kinks upon a woman that they A.) JUST MET B.) Have heard from her own mouth about the abuse and emotional baggage she is carrying around and C.) Can visually see that she has been abused.
Seems logical right.....I mean what abused woman wouldn't want to have her sister (whom she hasn't seen in years) hand her over to two cave-men that she met a couple hours earlier and tell her she MUST obey all their male wisdom or else she will be PUNISHED. I know if I had been abused the threat of punishment would make me melt right into a man's arms. *sigh* Its every woman's dream!!
I still think my absolute favorite part was the phone call scene.....Suspending disbelief for a moment that she didn't immediately tell her sister and these men to F*%$ OFF and run away as fast as she could; We get to the middle of this "book" Im not even sure why I finished this book other than the fact that I spent money on this garbage and felt obligated to.
I know this comes across like I hate protective heroes but trust me when I say that couldn't be further from the truth....just look at my library. I appreciate well written books with characters that make decisions that make sense and protective men that LOVE their heroines not who look at them like they are over grown toddlers that need schooling on ever detail of their lives. This book was garbage.

I am one of those readers who reads every book in a series over again before reading the latest books in a series. It works very well if the series is one of your favorites and as it happens the Desire, Oklahoma series is one of my favorites and it’s always nice to revisit likable characters.

I am standing by my original review but changing the rating to 5 stars because I have read Desire for Three so many times that it is fair to say it is one of my favorites to read every time a new book came out. I am a bit behind in reading the series and looking forward to revisiting the books I have read as well as the new additions. To add this this series the is a series called More Desire, Oklahoma that basically revisits couples from the Desire, Oklahoma series that I will be reading as well. This will be fun.

Jesse finally visits her sister and brother-in-law, but she is not the same woman they remember. Her bad marriage had a profound impact and now she is closed up tight. Jake and Nat are concerned so when Clay and Rio take an interest, Nat decides to help them out there by helping her sister.

I have to say if my version of Desire for Three were a paperback it would be dead and in need of being replaced so thank you to the tech gurus for e-readers and e-reading apps. You would think that reading a book once would be enough but nope not happening with this one. I really enjoy books that have more going on than just sex or just the boring blah-blah of talking heads. Now please don’t get me wrong the sex scenes were rocking the bed hot but there was more to this book than that despite the title. I mean who doesn’t love a little miscommunication, blood and guts violence with their book porn.

I really felt for Jesse and Kelly being abused, either by neglect, verbal or physical is no joke and I really like how this author gives Jesse the back bone to stand strong to help herself and her friend Kelly. I also really like how Jesse refused to be a victim of her circumstances, that takes courage, I know women who after so long just can’t escape being the victim and it breaks my heart to watch, even as they try put up that brave tough as nails persona for the outside world. I could really see the fight Jesse had with it, thankfully no one bought it.

There were no stand out quotes but my favorite part was when Jesse kicked the jerk holding her at knife point in the nuts, hot damn that was classic and well written. I do wish that there weren’t as many errors but maybe when Leah gets a chance, she will find them and fix them so I can change the rating that I am going to give Desire for Three.

I really enjoyed this book. I bought it because I had gotten an email advertising one of the last books, maybe 6?, but I hate starting in the middle of a series so I went to check out the first several books instead. I'm so glad I did! Man, can I live here, please?

This was such a new concept on an old story, and the characters of the town were great. A few things though:

First, there wasn't really a difference between Clay and Rio. For the first time, I understand what other reviewers are saying when they talk about character development. I loved Clay and Rio a lot, but they were basically the same guy. Clay was supposedly super calm and cool all the time and Rio was a hothead, but they were both yelling or coldy stating or whatever the situation called for at the time. There was no distinct personalities here. But they were such great guys that it didn't take away from the story for me.

Another thing that bothered me was the jumps. Sometimes you'd be reading along and all of the sudden someone was mad or in love or something completely against what you were literally reading a paragraph earlier. I think this was more an editing issue. A good editor should have caught this and suggested the author make better transitions. It actually appeared to be situations where the author maybe thought of a better reaction for a character and inserted some text without making sure the new change was a smooth one. Again, not too much of an issue for me.

Overall, it was a great story, and I'll definitely buy the next one about Blade. A good story with fantastic moments, but the writing is very basic here. As long as you don't expect the beautiful descriptions of Shana Abe or Diana Gabaldon, I think you'll like it, too.

Book one of desire Oklahoma focuses on Jesse Tyler a divorced forty year old woman looking for a new start in her life visits her sister Nat and her brother in law Jake. Jesse is colder than she used to be but a long unhappy marriage to her ex husband Brian the only reason she stayed in the marriage was for her son Alex's sake but her failed marriage has her left undesirable in her eyes but her sister is determined to prove her wrong and hatches a plan with the help of Clay and Rio Erickson who they believe Jesse is the woman they've been waiting for to share. You see Desire is a strange little town where the men worship and are overprotective of their woman they all share the same lifestyle the men are doms and their women are subs, lots of the woman are married or in committed relationships ship with plural husbands or partners. Jesse experiences a new sexual desire with Rio and Clay. She settles into her new hometown with her business partner Kelly, who Jesse helped escape from her abusive boyfriend Simon a friend of Jesse's ex husband. Together they build their business of making creams and body lotions of all different scents the store is named indulgences and becomes quite successful but Jesse's past isn't ready to let herself go her ex husband begins harassing her for money and when he becomes desperate he attacks and is arrested but someone dangerous is still out there who is owed money and Jesse is in danger but her fiances are determined to protect her as well as the community. This book has a interesting plot with some heated sex scenes, but I loved the characters and the community spirit as they come together to support eachother business and lend a helping hand to protect Jesse and Kelly.

REVIEW COURTESY OF FALLEN ANGEL REVIEWS:

Jessica Tyler, better known as Jesse, needs to start anew. She has just been through a terrible marriage, and it doesn't help any that she is nearing her fortieth birthday. Jesse's sister convinces her to come out to Desire, Oklahoma, for a visit. She arrives to a town like no other. Desire is a place where plenty of people have settled down... the only difference is they live a lifestyle of sexual freedom. Desire is populated with men and women who embrace their inner dom or sub and ménage is just as acceptable. Jesse is amazed that her sister is living this way and finds herself becoming interested.

Upon first meeting brothers, Clay and Rio, Jesse feels an odd pull of attraction to them both. Clay and Rio want Jesse for their own, and their possessiveness turns out to be just what she needs. They introduce her to a whole new world of pleasure, and Jesse seems to be fitting right in. Can Jesse give her all and make this relationship work, or will their constant attention bring everything to an abrupt end?

Leah Brooke is new to me, but I must say... Desire For Three was definitely well written. She had strong, stubborn, and wonderfully sexy characters. I never knew what to expect next. Desire For Three was a book that I just couldn't quit reading. I am so glad she has written two more books in this series, because I wasn't ready to let go of the amazing little town of Desire, Oklahoma. Maybe someday I will be able to go there... too bad it is a fictional place.

Not one of my favs. It's smut, plain and simple. It was entertaining and an easy read. You definitely have to suspend disbelief at this weird town, as fascinating as it is. I liked the story about her ex as far as that being a good part of the reason why she is what she is...and I will probably read the next one since Blade to me is interesting. :)

The ONLY reason why this book got three stars and not two was Jesse. I thought she was a great character. VERY independent (except for a few really stupid moves she made and a few even stupider things she said), hard-working, etc. And who can fault her for wanting to move to Oklahoma to start fresh? Her sister is there, it's a nice town, and there are a lot worse places to live than Oklahoma.

As for Clay and Rio...no thanks. They really didn't do much for me, especially after the COLOSSAL BAD MOVE they made that they spent the rest of the book trying to make up for. Also could be that I really didn't get a clear picture of what these two looked like other than older than Jesse and a mention of one of them having silver in their hair. Very glad there was none of that incestuous weird vibe that bugs me about brothers, but as far as brothers in menage go, I'll take the Colters anytime, thanks. :)

Jessica "Jessie" Tyler finally relented and has agreed to visit her sister in Desire, Oklahoma. Desire is unlike most towns where women come first, menage relationships, and Dom/Sub couples are normal. Nearly forty with an ex-husband who is worthless and really played havoc on her self esteem. It doesn't take but a day for her to meet Clay and Rio Erickson show an interest in her.

Brothers Clay and Rio were married once, but quickly realized they would never feel complete unless they were able to share a wife. They know Jessie is the one, but she is fiercely independent and not willing to let anyone take care of her. Clay and Rio plan to show her everything she has been missing as well as tame her wild need to get herself in trouble. Love wont come easy for these three, when Clay and Rio make a huge mistake which leads Jessie to danger. They will have to learn to trust one another again in order for them to have any future together.

The first in the series, a reread for me. This series is fantastic, each book is different from the next and I especially liked that the lead in this is an older woman. A great series.

This was maybe a 3.5 stars... but more 3 than 4 so 3 it is.
I don’t get it… everyone I follow loves this book! But for me I just had the worse time connecting with the characters, especially the males. There were some funny parts and the sex was hot and steamy, as expected. I just cannot put my finger on what it is that made me not connect with this book.

One aspect I don’t enjoy, which comes up in some books and really pushes my button, is the whole “I love you so much” but the first time a question comes up they don’t ask… they jump to conclusions and toss the baby out with the bathwater. How can you “love” someone and not know them… so on that point Jesse has it right. I’m glad the author had her stay strong and instant on everyone getting to know each other. I love strong females; they are my fav to read.

The last quarter of the book was great as well…. But too much of the book for me the connection to the chars was missing to give it a higher rank. I am looking forward to the next story… already have it loaded to read… bring on Blake and Kelly!

Although I enjoyed this story, I found that it didn't engage me completely. The best erotic literature, at least for me, has to have a nice balance of sex scenes, plot advancement, and character development. I had no real complaints with the plot. It held my interest and kept me turning pages. I liked the main characters. It was fun watching Clay and Rio try to charm Jesse into becoming comfortable with a permanent threesome relationship. Jesse was a nice mix of vulnerability and confidence. However, the story bogged down for me several times because of sex scenes that did nothing to advance the plot or add nuance to a character. These felt like extra padding in an otherwise pretty interesting story.

I think this series has potential and I'm looking forward to reading the next book about two characters briefly introduced in this one.
