Jimmy's job in customer service is just a paycheck, in his eyes. His boss Debbie wishes he were more of a "people person" and more enthusiastic about coming to work. To improve his skills, she schedules him to attend a two-day, out-of-town workshop Jimmy's already dreading.
Then he discovers Scott Raines will be tagging along.
Jimmy's had a fierce crush on Scott, who works in sales, since his first day at the office. The man is gorgeous and funny and so damn intimidating, Jimmy hasn't yet screwed up the courage to ask him out. Maybe the workshop will provide the perfect opportunity to remedy that. They'll travel together, share a hotel room, and who knows where things may lead? Johnny might yet get to make his move.

Jimmy Taliafero is bored with his job and not interested in going to an out-of-town workshop to improve his people skills. What he is interested in is a new employee in another department, but he doesn’t know how to approach the man.
Scott Raines has had his eye on Jimmy since he started at the company. His attempts to make his interest known have been too subtle. But he gets a chance to make his intentions really known when he is to attend a workshop with the man he lusts after.
This was a fairly good story of a relationship that really struggles to develop.
What I really enjoy from J.M. Snyder's stories is those moments leading up to the relationship. I love reading the thoughts from the main hero, what he is thinking, those cute flirts, those funny wishes. They're very entertaining. This one story also gives that -- as two colleague worker heads up for two-days workshop in another town, where they must stay in a hotel and share a room. Attraction flies everywhere and it's simply FUN.
I suppose the idea was conveying how irresistible the attraction Jimmy feels for his sexy workmate is. The actual end result is a character who is kind of vapid, idiotic being more apt a description. Balancing humour and sexiness takes enormous skill, but in this M/M short romance Ms Snyder shows little to none.
