This was a wonderful read! It felt like you were just having a chat with a fellow gardener over the garden fence. I really enjoyed the style of writing and so much resonated with me, as someone who loves to garden too.

She shares her musings on all aspects of gardening, from her own experiences, to fashions changing and to the do's and dont's - although she's all for gardening how you feel and not to follow the rules if it feels wrong to you. It talks of how we all view gardens differently, and the different aspects we have to enjoy as gardeners be it visiting other gardens, childhood memories and her own advice to gardeners new or old.

there's so many little subsections to enjoy, that I think it's one of those books I'll be dipping in and out of to enjoy over and over!

This book is a sequel to A Gentle Plea for Chaos.

After the death of her husband, the author passes her garden to her daughter, moves to an urban lot, and starts a new garden.

Full of advice on how to move on with your life in difficult circumstances.

I find the author a kindred spirit in her advocacy of experimental gardening and nonconformity.
