Only read the first 35 pages or so but got bored. Basically don't be a dick and work hard. It's self explanatory stuff IMHO.

This is a no-nonsense, straight ahead, "Let me give you some advice," letter-from-a-concerned-friend type of book. After gigging as a pro for the last 15 years, I found much of the advice to be solid, common sense. There was also the occasional, "Man, I really needed to read that. Wish I'd read it years ago!"

He also includes several interviews with successful and long-lasting artists and industry pros.

For the time and cash you'll invest in this book, it's not to be missed if you're a gigging or aspiring musician.
