As my Mother aged, she had certain places in the world that she wanted to go, a de facto bucket list if you will. She has travelled all over Europe, taken cruises and guided tours, and was courted by a young man in Greece who thought she must surely have a lot of money. Her last trip was to be to Wales, and I went with her. She wanted to visit castles and eat seafood and see Saint David's, both the cathedral and the town which are each a thousand years old. I can't remember how we found this book, but I think perhaps it was Amazon. It served two purposes, the first to plan the stops on our trip and the second to daydream about what we might see. The pictures are extremely beautiful, like the land itself, and the paragraphs that describe them are informative and useful. Our trip to Wales was everything we wanted it to be. We toured Roman forts, touched stones in thousand year old walls, and felt the lingering magic in castle ruins. It truly was a bucket list trip. I'll tell you what you should do. Log on to Amazon this minute and buy this book. And then daydream yourself a trip to the magical land of Wales.
