Kamili, you may thank (or blame, as the case may be) this man for my love of Wittgenstein. Ray Linn is awesome. There is nothing like having your favorite high school teacher show up to graduation trashed and slurring...I fear his influence on my drunken, pretentious lifestyle has gone too far.

I don’t know, the whole time I was reading this I couldn’t help but think how annoying it’d be have a high school teacher half ass teach this shit.

My most concrete concern is that there are no counterpoints, criticisms, or at least acknowledgement of the pushback on postmodernism and it’s consequences.

This book gives a “grand narrative” of how humans have become enlightened away from modernist sensibilities to the obvious tenets of the post-structuralists. Not only is this an impossible task for a tiny book, but it’s goal is completely at odds with the gospel it is preaching!

Even though it's called an introduction, this was a mighty tough read, and didn't really inspire me in any way. I gutted it out and finished it, though.
