Series: Red Rock Mysteries #4 (must be read in order)
Age recommendation: 9-13
Summary: Bryce and Ashley are just about done seventh grade, and Sam’s friend offers them a job watching his alpaca farm while he’s gone on vacation. However, many people in Red Rock are discovering burglaries that happened during their trips and the twins are worried of what might happen at the farm while the owners are away… it’s up to them to stop the burglars!
My thoughts: I was surprised how much I enjoyed this book. I’ve heard the audio drama so many times that I thought I’d be bored reading this book. But it was actually a lot of fun, the tension between Denise and Ashley is developed and explained a lot better, and there’s a very good amount of Christian content. I admire Ashley’s desire to share Jesus with her friends and understand how difficult it can be to keep their interest. The fact that 13-year-old twins are solving mysteries that boggle the police (for the fourth time) is a little ridiculous, but sitting around waiting for the police to solve mysteries isn’t nearly as much fun as teens solving them for themselves. Just as a warning for those of you out there who really like animals Overall, I enjoyed this story, and I would recommend it.
When Bryce and Ashley timberline agree to watch the Morris's alpaca farm they have no idea how dangerous it will turn out to be. They are investigating a string of robberies around town, and eventually do find the robbers... in the process, almost getting eaten by a bear, the Morris's dog almost getting eaten, and Ashley helping a pregnant alpaca give birth. All this in one weeks work! They have to be out of a book.
Bryce and Ashley Timberline become investigators, determined to find a thief when robberies hit Red Rock, Colorado. Then the tweens are hired to take care of the neighbor’s alpaca farm. Since homes are robbed when the owners are away, Bryce and Ashley are on guard. (I love the cover picture.) The Christian message took the front seat throughout the story. Loved it! Lots of action. Quality characters. Exciting plot all the way until the end.
I think these books would be great for keeping kids. It stars a sister and brother team, they are just ending their 7th grade year of school. They refer to God often. They like to solve mysteries. They help whoever they can, whenever they can. These characters would be a positive role model to anyone. The girl has seizures, but it doesn't hold her back at all. I think this is a great series!
My favourite part was when Ashley and Bryce managed to get the alpacas back from the thieves, along with everything else that was stolen. My least favourite part was when Janice pretended that Buck had attacked her, and he was almost put down for no reason.

I LOVED this 1!!! i almost cried a lil bcuz the dog almost died. Bryce and Ashley are put in charge of a family friends (I think) farm. they can stay there and have a great time if they want to. a jogger came by and they claimed the dog attacked him/her. (I don't remember) there are bears around the area so the dog is there to protect them. the dog got taken away and there was a bear encounter. this 1 was a book i had a tough time putting down. great book!
This book was an action packed mystery. It was fun to read and always kept me wondering what would happen next. This is the fourth book in the Red Rock Mysteries series. It's about twins named Bryce and Ashley who are just finishing up 7th grade. They are asked to take care of a group of valuable alpacas, but everything goes wrong. The story turns into a great mystery later on. I'd recommend this book to all readers.
I'm particularly fond of this series because I would read them aloud with my sister. I think I connected to the books because the siblings in it shared a bond like the one I shared with my sister. Their relationship was so real! We would spend half as much time laughing as we did reading! We would stay up late at night to finish these books. That was when Mom worked night shift, so we didn't have to worry about waking anyone with our laugher. I wish I could live those times over again!!
I enjoyed reading this book. I liked reading a story with alpacas in it. I have not read too many books with alpacas in them. There used to be an alpaca farm near where I live, so it was kind of neat to read a book in which there was one.
