Possibly the most disturbing children's ABC book I've ever read. Loved it.

A really cool and spooky book! An A to Z book (with even an actual "x"!) of monsters, with dark and eerie illustrations. The only problem was that it had a similar format as yesterday's book, R Is for Risen: An ABC Easter Story, but with a VERY different vibe! Threw me for a loop - lol!

The illustrations are so cool! Although this book may seem too scary for most young readers, there are a lot of kids out there who will love how spooky it is.

The book is a fine work with art that is beautifully ghastly or disgustingly lavish for the eyes - and sure, it is hard to say who this book is meant to serve, might be too nightmarish for those learning their ABCs and too low for those who devour Lovecraft and King. Still, much like Baby's First Mythos, this is too fun to ignore. The art is fun, the simple rhymes still suitably dark, and thus the work has some impact for the right audience...which probably is not the Pre-K crowd.
