Beth Mende Conny, with assistance from illustrator Paula Brinkman, presents helpful hints and aphorisms on keeping life's little problems in perspective.

Such things as 'Worries are a part of life, not a way of life', easy to say but not quite as easy to carry out; 'Worry is a waste - of time, energy, life', quite true but we all must waste time energy and life on the matter at some time; 'Worry is a vehicle that drives you nowhere but crazy', some hell of a vehicle at times; 'Worries are an eclipse that blocks the sun', and I do like the sun!; 'If you don't live in the moment, where do you propose to live?'

And there are plenty more of the same, all of which provide food for thought, even if they are not possible to be attained for one reason or another ... however, enjoy the moment and 'Don't worry, be happy', in the words of the song!

This was on the table at a guest house I was staying in. It is full of rather insipid sayings about worry and even manages to be fat phobic.
