A young boy recounts what he usually sees throughout the day. Because he is still so young and small, he mostly just sees feet. He sees big feet and little feet. He sees dog feet and people feet. He sees sneakers and boots. He sees quick feet and he sees slow feet. He finally spots a small pair of feet about the same size as his. When he looks up, he's surprised, but pleased, to finally see another face on the same level as him.
This is a very simple, easy read for children. It offers a story from their perspective. They too see only feet and legs as they walk through crowed places with their parents. They are able to relate to the character as he journeys through the city.
