Summary-
In this adventure of LC+The Critter Kids, the kids find themselves returning to school, and having a substitute who is very peculiar. They think he is a vampire! The kids follow him throughout the day only to get the news that he isn't a vampire. The book ends of on a cliffhanger with the fact that he really IS a vampire!

Review-
The book was fairly decent. The writing was very well and the pacing was great. There wasn't a part where I ever felt bored, and I was going along with the mystery the whole time. I think this was a great addition to the Critter Kids Series. The artwork was... interesting to say the least (not my style). But other than that, I highly recommend it!

LC.'s imagination takes off after he watches a scary vampire show. He convinces everyone that their substitute teacher, Mr. Bat, is a real ampire. A cute story with a surprising ending.

Sigh nostalgia...

I remember reading this book in fourth grade, but I’d probably read it earlier than that. I think it was when I was still reading nothing but picture books XD I just remember really liking the illustrations and the fact that it was anthropomorphic animals, and it reminded me a lot of Arthur (which I’ve also been reading, both the really young childrens’ books and the chapter books, but not going to bother rating them on here because there are so many). What is this? Why am I currently enjoying childrens’ books more than books geared toward my age group? Well I think that says more about the older books I’ve been reading lately than anything. Age should never be a reason for people to judge something. But I digress, let’s get back to the book. The twist ending was pretty cool. I didn’t know this was a series though, and this is the only one I’ve ever read. So I’ll have to check out the others sometime.

Oh—and it’s better than Twilight.

I think I was in about third or fourth grade when I read this book. Apparently it’s part of a series, but this is the only one I read. I liked the characters, story, and illustrations. It’s a pretty cute book that reminds me of Arthur with the anthropomorphic animal characters living like normal kids. I wished I could’ve had adventures like this when I was a child :)
