An introduction to basic nutrition looks at how the body converts food into energy and includes coverage of how carbohydrates, proteins, fiber, lipids, vitamins, and minerals contribute to good health.
Short and sweet, compared to other nutrition books I've read and owned. Simple and easy to understand, and although American, it has loads of interesting information, basic and to the point with not overly head spinning science thrown in. A really good book for me to read to brush up on nutrition and use for my study notes.
