This is a fantastic resource for beginner photographers! Hedgecoe explains everything clearly without all the jargon that sometimes turns people off from photography books. He gives tips, explanations, and try-it-yourself's for just about any situation you could want, and does it well. This is NOT for the tech junkie who wants to know the physics of the camera, etc.

As an aspiring pro, most of the book was old news to me, though well done. Still, peruse through it--there were some tricks I'd never thought of! (June 2008)
