Meh. Had to read it to the boys. Insufferable.

This book is a concise yet invaluable book to aid the reader in first aid, and the many complexities connected to it.

This is the 2002 edition. The current edition (2007) has significant changes (and yet already needs updating). Some might prefer the line drawings of the 2002 edition over the photographs in the 2007 edition.

Addendum: Here it is 2014 and we're still waiting for this to be updated. It really should be updated at least every 5 years, perhaps using the 5 year cycle of the American Heart Association guideline updates.

A great synopsis and handbook for Boy Scouts (and Adult leaders) teaching the basics of first aid. The chapters were well defined. The topics were clear and concise. They led to many good Scout discussions and learning.

I just finished teaching a first aid class with some of my friends to the scouts in the neighborhood. This was read out of necessity!

First aid was about first aid skills and techniques. I learned all I needed to know for my First Aid merit badge from his. I recommend this book to scouts.
