Tommy Donbavand was an English actor and an author of books and comics for children including the Scream Street series. He was from Liverpool, England.
Revisited Scream Street 16 years since I've picked up the first copy back then, and I still wished I got a chance to live on that street.
Keep in mind that this is a children's book, the pace will be quick but there is enough depth to get to know the main trio better.
The first book details the "why" the main character was transported to Scream Street, and sets the story well and introduced the main trio - Luke, Resus and Cleo.
You will smile with the silly puns, interesting takes on folklore and also the illustrations really help in imagining what everything looked like!
This is the fourth book, and the premise is consistent across the first six books, the Founding Fathers are the interesting ones as they all have their own personality.
In this book, it is Luke's mission to get the relic, flesh of a zombie. Whike scream street is overrun by zombies, the brave trio visit the underlands for the first time. Where all creatures are sent if they mean harm. Sir Otto Sneer is willing to take any step for the relics and does everything he can to stope Luke. I really like this book because it is really fun and kind of scary. It has some amazing description and really funny characters. I would sah it is more for younger children however everyone can have a little bit of fun once in a while. I rate this book a 4 out of 5 because i really enjoyed it however its still nit the BEST.
This was probably the goriest of the books so far but it was still a fun read although I would exercise caution with younger readers who are either squeamish or not yet ready to read about body parts and pus.
A good book better then the first three very exiting the plot is good but it just misses a certain feeling like you are actually feeling the characters emotions.
I'm enjoying this series so much! I kept thinking this would work so well in animated form, then I googled it and found out they did actually make a stop motion animated series based on it! Yay!
These books are definitely getting better as they go on! The characters are so well developed, the addition of Tee aswel and that ending it’s so cute My favs: Resus Luke Cleo Currently
Loved this book Tee reminds me so much of R from warm bodies a movie I really love. I loved the zombie band so much. It was fun and cute I would definitely suggest it to others.
I can’t say zombies are my favourite horror monster, and these were done really well in a kid’s book. Still a little on the flesh falling apart and eating people thing but, still made for children. Now, the Tooth Fairy character was really cool and I hope she comes back later in the series. The plot was interesting but the usual jokes and information about the targeted “monster,” this time being zombies, there wasn’t really any of that but regardless I still enjoyed it.
