Sink your fangs into another vampire sorority tale from the author of Braced2Bite and Fangs4Freaks!

She finally found a guy. Too bad he wants her dead. Piper Prescott understands vampire politics, but ancient languages are a different story. So Hunter comes to her rescue and tutors her-in a graveyard, of all places. Piper doesn't mind- who would've thought she'd ever have a boyfriend, not to mention the very perky, blonde founder of a half-blood vampire sorority, Colby Blanchard, as her best friend?

But ever since Piper staked that demon zombie, Hunter's been studying her. Sure, he's eye-catching in combat boots, but the boy's definitely pursuing more than a goodnight kiss. Perhaps he's looking for some information on Psi Phi and its undead sisters-plus those world-ending prophesies revolving around "the Protector"-a.k.a. Colby.

Short Review: I honestly thought this would be better than book 2 because we get Piper and Colby's POV, but it was worse. Colby still is the worlds worse friend ever! Seriously, Colby BEGS for help from Piper, but when Piper comes to Colby with an issues (IE talking cats!) she blows her off and says she doesn't believe her?! WHAT THE FUCK. Then we have this Hunter, shallow POS happens, Colby basically says eff Thomas, give me Hunter, and freaks when Piper shows interest in him. The plot was like 30% of this book, the rest was Colby being shitty.

Misc.

Book Boyfriend: Carl
Best Friend Material: Piper!

I had a lot of troubles to go through this book. The story was more about teenagers bickering to eachother and a small fight ones in a large while then that there truly happened something.
It took me over a month to read this tiny book that normally I would have read in a couple of days so for me it was a real no go

Another super fast read. The trilogy as a whole is unique in my opinion. I'm not mad that I read it and enjoyed it. I won't reread it again though. Teenaged me enjoyed it a lot more.

The Half-Blood Vampire series are great for something light and fun. All of the books go by quickly so it’s very easy to read them all in a very short time span. They’re funny and engaging; however, a bit unrealistic especially after Colby becomes a vampire. The fact that her family and “best” friend, Piper, didn’t seem fazed by this fact is just absurd.

Colby is the main character in this series and she gets assaulted by this vampire, gets thrown off this ravine and becomes a vampire. The first thing she does? Goes straight home and accidentally scares her mom which made her cut herself with a knife at the time and then Colby proceeds to lick/suck the blood from her mom. What did her mom do? Seem a bit dazed but accepting of the fact. WHAT. I’m pretty sure if I was the mom, I would not be so calm about the fact that my daughter just sucked my blood. And not only that, her father then made her a specific fang headgear because her canines were taken out for braces when she was younger and therefore she had no canines and therefore, no fangs. Two problems with this. One, a lot of my friends had gotten braces when they were younger and none of them had ever gotten their canines removed – that is just so bizarre. Granted, I am not an orthodontist nor am I an expert in this field but regardless, that’s a tad strange. Second, how can she even walk around with that headgear? She would have to carry it with her just so she can eat. She’s clearly not going to wear it on a daily basis because imagine, a fang headgear would certainly turn some heads. This series is great and it’s funny but there are lot of small things that either don’t make sense, seem off or just plain ridiculous.

Nonetheless, Colby did grow up a lot in this series. She went from a somewhat shallow typical cheerleader to becoming the Protector of other half-bloods and she certainly grew into that role. There were definitely tons of obstacles in her path but she managed to overcome them with her own charm and wit. She was easy to like but to me, she was also a little slow. A lot of antagonists in the books were quite obvious from the beginning and even one of her sorority girls was able to pick it up from the get-go but not Colby. In fact, she was totally in the dark and didn’t realize anything until the end. I guess, she is still the stereotypical “blond chick”.

Piper, Colby’s best friend, was not even her friend in the beginning of the first book. They were neighbors and were friends when they were younger but slowly grew apart as they grew up and all of a sudden, smack, they’re best friends. I mean, I loved Piper – she was great and added a certain spice and attitude to the series but still, why and how did they become friends all of a sudden? It just seemed incredibly random to me. Yet, she was the one who stuck by Colby through thick and thin and overcame her tendency to hide in the face of danger to protect Colby when it counted.

Overall, this series was decent – great for a quick laugh and certainly entertaining. Serena definitely brought an interesting twist of half-vampires. There is also a novella after the third book but I doubt I will go in search for it. I would recommend this book more for the MG crowd or the younger YA group.

After being bitten, becoming a half-vampire, discovering that she was part of a prophecy, defending herself in front of a council on why they should keep her alive, getting a boyfriend and trying to keep him, entering college, and keeping her sorority safe -- Colby Blanchard has basically survived it all.

Except for the part where vampires are still attacking her since they believe that she will destroy them. Colby just needs that prophecy to be deciphered (and quick!), since she can't walk around worried all the time.

That's where Piper, Colby's best friend, comes in. She may not know what the prophecy really says, but she is on the case.

But the prophecy isn't the only thing on Piper's mind these days. There's also her love for bad boys, and the new guy she met at the mall, Hunter, who has all of the qualities she looks for and more. If only she could figure out if he really likes her or is just using her. He is a good asset to have in translating the prophecy, but is he worth trusting? Then there's the whole fact that staking a demon leads to her discovery that she might not be the person who she thought she was. Who knew saving someone's life, in this case Colby's, could lead to so much confusion?

What's a girl to do when she has so many problems -- and friends with so many problems? How about slaying some demons?

Charming and witty, DATING4DEMONS continues the hilarious adventures of half-vampires and demons, this time interchanging the narratives between Colby and Piper. What seems like the last novel in the series, Serena Robar wraps up the story nicely, leaving fans with a satisfied grin.

Ok so Colby is a half blood vampire or as they are most commonly referred to in this book, the Undead. She is the protector of the half blood Undead, because you see the full bloods think they are an abomination, and therefore should be eliminated. Colby spends most of her freetime fighting off rouge vampires that believe her existence is going to bring an end to their world, while trying to protect her bff Piper at the same time.

As it just so happens Piper is t the normal human that she believed she was. She's a demon slayer. Which would be a good thing since demons are possessing full bloods and are trying to enter the earth realm, but did I mention Piper is basically scared of her own shadow? Oh yea don't forget that her only "super power" is menstrual craps.

Yep you read right. I mean seriously I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried. Also this book is based around a sorority house. Just a bunch of prissy, pretty in pink, omg I broke a finger nail, half blood cheerleader types.....blech

The best part of this book was Hunter, another demon slayer who is head over heals for Piper. But still he was mediocre at best. My guess is he had landed in a better story he might of had swoon status but no such luck.

I know that I should have known better but I really was hoping for funny. You know alittle light reading with some humor before I jumped into another series. What on earth was I thinking?!?! I should never be allowed to do that again (think that is). This is the first book that I have had to give such a grave review on and I truely wish I didn't. But what else can I do but at least try to save the next victim:(

This book made me stressed as Hell. I actually had to have a break toward the 3/4 of my reading, because it was kind of heavy on me. I liked it, don't get me wrong. But it wasn't a light and fun read as the first book. It was frustrating to read about Thomas not being himself and probably being in danger. Or seing Piper and Colby fight all the time and Colby apparently not trusting Piper's word until the almost end.
I was positively surprised to see that after all that happened in the first book Mr Holloway was a good guy and even a lot helpful. I think he really care about Colby now and believes in her. Weird as it may seem.
I liked Piper in this book and it was nice to read her point of view too. I think that deep inside she is a tough and brave girl after all. She showed some balls in this book. It also made me smile when she said she might have a girly crush on her best friend (Colby).
Hunter left me puzzled most times, but he was a nice guy. And apparently hot too. Lucky Piper!
The Barnaby thing (especially that accident in bed) was kind of creepy and scary. Shiver!
I liked Colby's courage and strenght even in one of the worst moments of her life. She did make the right decision.
I liked the ending, and the whole soul-mates thing. Kind of romantic.
I didn't like that there was hardly any romance, aka lovey and passionate moments between Colby and Thomas.
I also missed Carl. Sigh. I might have a little crush on him, I know!
So, it shows 3 stars but I think it's actually more like 3.5 stars.

When I found out that I had won this book from the Goodreads First Reads Program I was thrilled, because for once it wasn't necessary for me to play catch-up with the series. The book can be read as a stand-alone, which is always a plus, but I liked the characters (Piper & Hunter) so much that I'd be more than happy to read the rest of the books. Dating for Demons is a fun and entertaining read--Not too heavy. At first, I was a little on the fence about the 2 sets of narrative from Piper and Colby, but after getting into it, I realized it actually worked really well--Kept me on my toes. Reading it was kinda like watching a couple of episodes of "Buffy" or "Lost Girl", which was great, because I felt right at home. Piper is the star in this one--She's like the friend you've always wanted. The writing and dialogue has a good flow to it--It's smart and funny, rather than the simple, dull and stilted writing that you find in a lot of books of this age-group & genre. There have been so many books I have read that were advertised under the guise of paranormal romance, but they didn't feel anything like the genre, what with angels and faeries and absolutely no sense of humor or adventure. So, I was relieved to find that this book actually does fit into the genre of paranormal/paranormal-romance. It had the right atmosphere, and all the acceptable ingredients: action, cleverness, humor, vampires, witches, slayers, zombies, and even talking cats. I highly recommend it for young readers--I think they'll love it, and older folk like me will enjoy it too.

I feel like this review won't be quite accurate, as this is the only book I have read in the series. So I will put my thoughts down, and when I eventually read the whole series, I will do any necessary updates.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick and light read, and I felt connected to the characters (despite the fact that I had no background knowledge of them). I really enjoyed Piper, and was rooting for her and Hunter the entire time. I want to learn more about their relationship! Maybe the author will be nice and write more? :)
As disgusting as it was, I enjoyed the vivid scenes where the demon possessed vampires were killed. I may not be able to look at milk the same way for a while, but, hey, good writing is worth a little sacrifice :)
I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series, although I do not currently own the other books, so it may be a little while...

Let me start off by saying that I didn't know that this book was the final book in a trilogy until I finished reading it the first time. But this is the kind of book you can dive right into even if you haven't read the previous two books.

It has a cute and uncomplicated plot and characters you are bound to like. I especially like the added touch of the talking demonic cats.

I did notice several grammatical errors that an editor should have caught, but you cannot really blame the author for that. Fellow writers will understand that you try to make everything perfect and then you look back and realize "Oh shoot, there's a typo". All in all it's an enjoyable book.

My star count? 3 1/2-4 of 5

This is a really quick read & a ertake on vampires. There are some serious issues but it all takes place with plenty of snark thrown in.
If you're looking for something with vampires but not of the dark brooding variety give this one a try.
This installment is told from both Colby and Piper's (the best friend) perspective which I found welcome. Colby can be a bit too self absorbed at times. The only thing I wish that there was more of is Thomas. The series is so girl centric that we don't get to see enough of what makes him tick.

OMG! JUST AWESOME!
May Contain a spoiler ..........:..........

Wow, I just loved the way this third and final book was put together. The Title of the book fits the story perfectly. First off, I am happy to say I enjoyed the book.very much. The story, this time had actual demons in it, and not the kind of Demons some would expect, which is one of the things I loved. The talking cat that was possessed by a demon, so very creative. Piper finds love, and Colby and Thomas are forever bonded, the perfect ending to the perfect story.

Great Job Serena Robar!

Piper finally found a guy just right for her lifestyle, but he wants her dead. Hunter tutors Piper in a graveyard because she is terrible at learning vampire language. Piper doesn't mind being in a graveyard because she has a boyfriend who is very perky and a blonde founder of a half-blood vampire sorority, which Colby is in. But ever since Piper killed a demon zombie Hunter is been spying on her and asking her questions about Colby's sorority and herself.

This book was awesome. It's the third and last boook of a series, with no name. Its about a college student who has turned into a halfblood vampire. because she is allowed to live she must take care of all halfbloods. this leads to deaths, fights, and hilarious lafter. I recomend reading all of the books; Fangs4Freaks, and Braced2Bite, to better understand the book. I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While reading it, I sort of got the idea like it was not reviewed or rechecked before publishing. It contained stupid, innocuous mistakes in the text. Also, the Colby in this book was not like the girl I've come to know from the first two books. It felt like she was replaced by Betsy from Undead series (though more intelligent)/. Overall, the story was fun. The new action in Piper's life and a window in demon's world kept things interesting.

This series was worse as the books went on. I was looking forward to Piper's story, but it switched back and forth between her and Colby which I didn't like. And this series was reminding me of Mari Macusi's books by the second book, but this just did it for me. I don't know which came out first, but I don't like when books practically match with the same story scenario.
