A great read for anyone interested in an important part of history. These are stories that must be known and told to children to honor the bravery of children just wanting to be loved and to belong. And to the man who sought out to give them that. Failures included, the intent was only of a kind heart and ambition to do something good for a vulnerable population.

This book explains much of the history of the orphan trains and the Children's Aid Society. The stories of many orphan train riders, especially those who ended up in Missouri, are included in the latter part of the book.
