When you write a book, and then you want to write another book, please make sure the second book is not the first book.

The was ridiculously disappointing! The author took his first book The Divine Matrix Bridging Time Space Miracles and Belief and rebooted it with a more healing aspect to it. But the information was so similar throughout, that it was like reading the same book. It was reading the same book.

Read one or the other, but don't read both. It seems the author wanted to make a more practical book? Well, this isn't it. Read The Divine Matrix Bridging Time Space Miracles and Belief and then read this amazing practical guide by a different author, Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One.

Trust me on this.

This book by Braden made me realize how much we have lost by our blind faith in the 'classic science' and how we limit our selves with our Belief of separation. The one area that I would disagree with Braden is his use of the phrase 'False Limits', there is nothing false about these limitations that we put on our self.

There are no 'right' or 'wrong' Beliefs, no 'Good' or 'Bad' Beliefs, there are only empowering or limiting Beliefs. As an example there are individuals who truly believe that it is impossible for them to meditate. This is not a False Belief, they truly believe it, and as long as they believe they are unable to meditate they will not be able to. This is a Limiting Belief and if they want to learn to meditate they must first change that Belief into a empowering Belief that they can meditate. Without changing their Belief, their attempts to mediate is working against their own Belief and will more often fail.

It is this book that made me look at my own Beliefs and to examine them in this paradigm of Empowering or Limiting. Now when I am having a difficult challenge in my Life I first look at my own Beliefs and ask myself what Limiting Belief I have that I am struggling against.

It may be because I'm dense but although I've read the whole book, I haven't quite understood the title: Is "belief" the object in the phrase, i.e. is the belief that which is healed, or is it the subject, i.e. is Braden talking about what belief can heal? Presumably the latter.

Was somewhat disappointed by this book partly because the author's intellectual approach to the subject under discussion didn't suit me, partly because I didn't feel he presented anything particularly new that I hadn't heard before.

The basic tenet he explores (which apparently is in the process of being proved true) is that of the universe being "the output of a huge and ancient simulation - a computer program - that began long ago", it being our individual beliefs that determine the content of our experienced reality.

This is of course a tremendously exciting tenet, the truth of which I personally entertain no doubt. This new way of understanding the universe and our personal lives revolutionizes our existence, gives our life meaning and forces us to accept total responsibility for what we make of it.

I actually made it as far as page 28, with a bit of a struggle, because Gregg was really annoying me. Then I came to the sentence: "The idea is certainly attractive; in fact, it's beautiful." Aaaarrgh! Gregg, shut up! Who writes this kind of drivel and gets published? Where's your editor? This book could've been a pleasurable read and half the length if you would have just cut out the extra verbiage. It's not endearing, it's annoying.

I like Gregg Braden's work. I did not feel that I had to read this book cover to cover as most of what's said I've read over and over again in other similar books. It's great if you never read anything about "quantum physics" or want a more scientific approach to "manifesting".

If you understand The Law of Attraction and Manifestation on a cognitive level but you are skeptical to implement it into daily practices, this book might help you overcome the initial resistance because it does take time to find and sense and finally digest your own resistance points to allow yourself to manifest your desires through the path of least resistance.

If even this sentence is too difficult to comprehend, try with Braden who wrote a genius book connected with quantum physics and Universal law of creating your own experiences, but you will find it difficult to comprehend if you haven’t been acquainted with the lovely Esther Hicks and her Abraham tribe. I really loved reading it, it took me almost 2 years to complete it because I simultaneously read so many books, but when the right moment came it helped me a lot to connect the dots with;

1. core emotions of fear or love
2. mind thoughts and projection
3. feelualisation/visualisation through the heart chakra.

Interesting ideas, presented in an entertain way. This book is worth re-reading and contemplating, regardless of your state of agreement or disagreement. At the last track/chapter you'll find a very convenient list of what the author refers to as rules, which are essentially the main points of this book.
I would suggest a printed or electronic copy rather than an audio book. In this way you can easily return to parts that interest you and skip what you probably have heard and read ten thousand times like: Roger Bannister breaking the four-minute mile record.

I bought this as a 4 CD Set and recommend reading it this way. It is an intriguing mind-blower. I got to the end and put in #1 again. Finally I loaned it to a friend but can't seem top get it back because she keeps starting it over. So much to think about. He also discusses the 2012 issues.

THE MYTH OF A SCIENCE GUY

Gregg Braden in his engaging and insightful book “The Spontaneous Healing of Belief” shares his thoughts about the type of beings we are and the awesome power we possess. He does this by using a computer as a metaphor to convey the wisdom of his personal myth. He compares the universe to a computer simulation that was programmed at the dawn of creation. The operating system of this “Universe Computer” is “consciousness,” and the output it produces is the “reality” we experience. Most importantly, the programs that run the computer and produce its output are our “beliefs.” Everyone should seek to become aware of their beliefs because they impact our lives in beneficial or harmful ways, and they are often unconscious.

Braden admits that his metaphor raises many questions that are beyond the scope of this book. Queries such as: ––Who is the programmer that started the cosmic computer? Does the idea of a cosmic architect relate to our ideas of God? How long has the consciousness computer been running? What does the “beginning” and the “end of time” mean? What happens when we die? Even though these questions will remain unresolved, he resolutely presses on with his narrative.

Braden’s book fits into an emerging genre that could be called “transformational spirituality.” Such books bring together thinking from the arts, and social and natural sciences with a cross pollination of ideas from these fields. Some sub-categories under the arts and social sciences include philosophy, psychology, and mythology. Sub-categories under the natural sciences often include physics, mathematics, and computer science. The common thread that unites the books in this genre is the underlying objective of the authors to seek “an expansion of consciousness.”

Gregg Braden was trained and worked in the field of computer systems and sought solutions to complex problems. In his quest for solutions he turned to the most complex problem of all: the nature of humankind and our relationship to the world we find ourselves in. Through the use of his computer metaphor, he discerns that it is our beliefs that shape our lives and this world.

Braden compares his modern myth to the ancient wisdom of the past and discovers many parallels to what has previously been revealed by the founders of our ancient traditions from Buddhism to Christianity. The myth employed by Braden serves a purpose similar to that of the ancient traditions. It does so by seeking to explain events that the cognitive mind relying solely upon the intellect is not capable of understanding. Two areas where this is most apparent is for those events we think of as a meaningful coincident (synergistic occurrences), and those considered miracles because they elude our ability to logically explain what has occurred.

Braden’s approach asks us to fully comprehend our beliefs, which in his terms are the programs that cause events to unfold as they do. The next step, in keeping with his analogy, is to write patches for those “computer belief programs” so that we produce outcomes more beneficial for ourselves and society. This is where things get complicated because our beliefs are based on the “values” we hold. Furthermore, our beliefs and the core values they emerge from are both conscious and unconscious.

Braden tends to overlook the impact of our values, which are more enduring than our beliefs. He does this even though he deals with the main factor needed to unmask them when he discusses emotions. He insightfully writes that there are actually only two emotions: love and fear with love producing positive feelings and fear negative ones. It is our emotional reactions and the feelings they produce that reveal our true values and the beliefs that ensue. This is so despite what our conscious mind claims we value and believe. If we are to reprogram the “universal computer” to produce the life we desire, we must be fully aware of our true values and the beliefs that flow from them. Otherwise, the output we generate will not be what we seek.

Another related issue that needs further clarification is Braden’s use of the phrase “heart-based feelings.” This term is likely an acknowledgement of the importance of emotion in determining both the integrity of our beliefs as well as their intensity. The intensity of the beliefs we hold is an essential component that makes the “belief program” effective in achieving our objectives and making us participants in transforming existence.

One of the more remarkable insights Braden offers is that the reason we don’t change our beliefs and the false limits they impose upon us is because our beliefs form our identity. Many times when reading Braden’s book and after taking a break, I had a tendency to dismiss or forget what seemed like compelling ideas at the time I read them. I eventually realized that I was experiencing what Braden wrote about when he said our resistance to changing our “belief program,” which runs the universal computer, was the “fear” that we would lose our identity.

The myth that Braden develops and shares with his readers is practical and perceptive. However, there is a crucial factor missing from his personal mythology. He overlooks the possibility that the faulty output generated by the “Universe Computer” may result from something other than the need to update obsolete “belief programs.” It could result from a “virus” introduced into the system. I would suggest that this oversight is the result of Braden blurring the meaning of good and bad as compared to good and evil. Good and bad are both relative terms and are appropriately used as opposites. However, evil is not a relative term because its meaning never changes from day to day or person to person. Consequently, evil must be something beyond simply the opposite of good.

This difficulty is broached by Braden in his “Belief Code 22” when he discusses the “Great Question” of whether we believe in one force for everything that happens in this world, or two opposite forces that play out in our life experiences. The answer to this question is more complex and nuanced than Braden may realize. This is why it is vital that readers consider the personal myth presented by Braden alongside the myths and metaphors offered by others writing in this genre. Some books that would assist the reader in doing so include: “Myths to Live By” by Joseph Campbell; “You’ll See It When You Believe It,” and “There is a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem” by Wayne Dyer; “Jung & Steiner” by Gerhard Wehr; and “Existence With and Without Time” by Michael Zino.

Recommend this. This book is the most incredible gift you and your future will ever receive! Mr. Braden has made the intricate and complex science of quantum physics "code" readable and decipherable for everybody. It contains new information and is not a re-write of any of the other books I've found on quantum physics and manifestation. It's full of solid research, rich in concrete examples and exquisitely written for both the "lay person" and the scientist. Once I opened the cover, I couldn't stop reading until I'd glossed and highlighted almost every page. This is yet another piece of the jigsaw puzzle filling-in the connection between science and "Belief." You begin to SEE (turns into reality) when you start to "Believe." Not the other way around. NOT oh, "I'll believe it when I see it" nonsensical cliché that most people are spewing.

This book is somewhat interesting because it sheds light on some of the ways in which current science may be beginning to grapple with an understanding of how perception makes reality.
Unfortunately the book is a bit boring, and lacks substance on all levels. In my view it is really an essay that was stretched out into a book, but in order to make it a book the case should have been more thoroughly documented. Right now this is a draft for a book but the book has yet to be written.

Skim it for an hour. Don't buy it. The typesetting is also annoying, using a sans-serif font for running text. However it is sewn in signatures the old fashioned way, so that's an improvement for Hay House, who usually go the looseleaf with glue route.

I love how Greg Bradden mixes science with spirituality. I used this book as part of the research for my own book, Awaken Your Power!, where I cite Braden to show how our thoughts work to create our reality. Awaken Your Power!: The Secret of Life Revealed - How Your Thoughts Create Your Reality I definitely recommend all of Braden's books. I consider him to be one of our true pioneers in the metaphysical and mental fields.

if you are having difficulties in changing your life to reflect your desires and needs more accurately, you probably need to change your beliefs (in fact, i know you do!) this book will help you to understand the science and spirituality behind neuro-plasticity and how important our thoughts and beliefs are in creating our realities. an easy read, like all of Braden's books, well written and inspiring!

It inspires people to think differently and positively:
The reason I recommend this book to everybody is because that the author uses simple word to describe some complex theories. It inspires me to continue to believe what I've been believing in life. What we believe do actually create our reality!!

Life-changing

This book is truly life-changing. I’m very interested in quantum physics and have read a lot about it. I also have read a lot of different books on manifesting. Coming to this from both a scientific perspective as well as a spiritual one, it all makes sense and made me see reality in a totally different perspective. It ties together the spiritual and the scientific and says what I have believed ever since I became interested in quantum physics: the Observer is God Himself. There is no disconnect between the Bible and science- each reinforces the other. We are all connected by consciousness. There is scientific evidence to support all of what this book contains. The more scientists learn, the more they can see that the mystical and the spiritual that we have always known to be true, are not the imaginings of crazy people. It is all true. Reality is not what we have thought it to be, but spiritual teachers, shamans, and others have known the truth from ancient times. Whether or not we live in a virtual reality, as the author says is likely, doesn’t really matter. Reality acts like a simulation, and that is the point. In changing our beliefs, we can change our realities and our lives; through our beliefs we can heal relationships, finances, careers, our minds, our bodies. We are limited only by our beliefs...we can become limitless.

A simple book with lots of information

Years ago I paid to attend a course where someone talked A simple book with lots of information about everything in this book. Had I known about this book I could have saved myself money!

The information contained in this book is really good! Later in books the author will write they do reuse some of the material here.

I liked how they walked us through simple truths and how we’re programmed to ignore our true nature as human beings or human becomings.

Gregg Braden has expanded my thinking! This book opened my eyes to the many possibilities that lie before me. I read it through once and then I read it slowly chapter by chapter with a small group of friends. That second reading revealed so much more than my own solitary first reading. I feel empowered! and I am excited! I highly recommend this book if you are at all interested in learning more about quantum physics. His writing is meant for the layperson.

A scientific yet spiritual way of looking at the way the Universe works and how our beliefs affect it. This book offers concrete facts, believable explanations and a doable and exciting commentary on how to heal and change those beliefs that no longer serve you. I tried to read this book a few years ago, I didn't get very far, but today it was a God send, proof that the teacher will appear when the student is ready! This book possesses a life altering way of thinking!

An interesting work on the false limits guarded by todays modern lingual and symbolic concepts. It's tough to write something far out due to the lost belief of self realization and direct knowing that happens in us, when society is so centered on the standard scienetific approach we have today (which is also amazing and cool but maybe plays a biit to big a role).
I enjoyed being taken on new paths of thinking and the book gave me new insights and ways to view reality.

This book is most likely the first building block of many books to come and from a multitude of researchers and authors. It has certainly changed my life for the better. I'm not sure if it's a good read for anyone, but certainly for whoever wishes to invest into feeling better in the face of these dark times that we live in.

I appreciated the powerful premise of how our beliefs can change our lives and the world around us, but I didn't enjoy the comparisons of our lives to simulations and computers. To me this implies a lack of free will, and takes away from the beauty found in faith and spirituality that comes from living, not programming.

I am all for the Law of Attraction, but didn’t enjoy the narration or writing of this book. The Christian lens of a white American male just doesn’t do it for me. I also felt the evidence didn’t go through enough details and sources were not cited making me feel that the author was just talking/lecturing at me.

Looking at ancient prayer in a new way.

This book empowers the reader to believe in their own abilities to create their own reality. Explains the similarities of religious texts and scripture that teach us about our own abilities. Explains quantum physics and is influence on our lives, our I should say our influence on quantum physics.
