Rate this book
The most beautiful bride he'd ever seen—and she belonged to someone else…

The gunfi re blazing around them assured she'd remain glued to his side. But it was her unexpected pregnancy that got under this tough guy's skin and brought out every primal protective instinct.

Xavier needed answers so he could find his 7 year old niece that has been kidnapped. He thinks Zoe has the answers. He has to keep her alive to get the answers to he can save April his niece. This was an interesting story. The charactors were funny at times. I had to laugh at all the times Zoe wanted her peanut butter! She is pregnant, and that is the one craving she has. It was really emotional when they finally found April. This book has action, emotion that pulled on my heart strings, and a dash of romance. I don’t condone cheating, but I also know you can’t help who your heart falls in love with.

Sample from chapter 7
“I will try to accept that this macho aggression comes from genuine concern and not gender bias – ‘Me big strong man, you helpless little woman’-“ “I didn’t say-“ “But I wish to remind you that I am sitting here with a taser that you gave me.
And being a not so helpless little woman, you should know that my control isn’t exactly what it should be at the moment, so I suggest we move on.” His surprised expression would have been comical under other circumstances. Satisfied she’d made her point, Zoe continued wryly.

Xavier Drake pretends to be a bodyguard to Zoe Linden to find out information in order to save his seven year old niece who was kidnapped. Zoe was dating Xavier's brother Wayne until she broke it off and then he was killed. Now she is engaged about to get married to Harrison who is missing. Zoe tells Xavier that she is pregnant and its not Harrison's but Wayne's.

As the story progresses Xavier starts having feelings for Zoe, but he wants to save his niece first and figure out what is going on, plus there is Zoe about to get married, but he finds out that Zoe didn't really love Harrison, and that the wedding would have been a mistake. They decide that they care to much about one another to let each other go. Right after they decide to take a go at a relationship, Harrison shows back up after being mysteriously absent through the whole story.

In the next story we learn about what happened to Harrison. I look forward to reading it.

This has action, sweet clean romance ( not the heavy, steamy romance) and it was a fairly quick read.

Quick romance, perfect for poolside, but full of coincidences and undeveloped characters.

3.5 Someone is trying to kill Zoe! Xavier is pretending to be her bodyguard to find information on who took his 7-year-old niece and believes Zoe knows something! Lots of action and very little romance! I expected more from the ending!
