Interesting collection of stories about lost (or not-so-lost) mines in Utah. This reads more like someone sitting down and telling you stories than like history--it jumps around a bit, and contains a lot of hearsay--but they are interesting stories, and maybe good cautionary tales about how many people have lost money/friends/lives in the pursuit of "instant wealth."

Great read. I followed every step of the way through the book with Google Earth. Going to go visit Pole Creek canyon this summer.
