Reading this book for me is like visiting an old friend...after almost 50 years!
My Dad bought the book in 1977, I didn't read it at the time.
Dad passed away 4 years ago, so it's now in pride of place on my bookshelf!
On the 15th September 1977, Dad took the young art student (me) to meet Tom Laughton and Isobel at their house in Scalby near Scarborough! What an honour!
Reading this amazing book confirms what we found out that morning.. what an amazing life!
Tom and Isobel signed the book for Dad and the picture taken by me (Tom, Isobel and Dad) is still inside the back page! What a treasure!
