This is an excellent and concise guide to the myriad of marine mammals found off the coast of California. The guide provides valuable identification tips and gives brief natural history of the mammals. My favorites are the Humpback whales, Dall's Porpoises, Elephant Seals and Sea Otters found along the central coast.

Brief and technical. Nice to pick up for 5 min or to consult with questions. Easily accessible writing and no fluff.
