I happen to work for the publisher of this book and even though it is brand new, it is already one of my favorites. I showed it to a professor, and prefaced it by saying that it was "extraordinary." At first glance, he said, "So it has cartoons," as if it were the gimmick. The more he looked at it, the more it dawned on him how powerful those cartoons really are. They teach the basics in a way that is intelligent, humorous, and memorable. I've already shared this with some of my friends--one day you, too, will have to give a toast at a wedding--and everyone loves it. As soon as I get a coffee table, this is going on it.

I'm Reading/ Read this book for my Public Speaking Class, and yes the illustrations and information are great- it's just really really long, and personally it gets a bit too wordy when trying to explain things.

Easy to read and understand. Pictures were great but did distract from the text itself sometimes.
