The Beacon Street Girls books are inspired by all the preteen girls I've ever known. I wanted to create a world where girls can go to have fun and learn about who they are, while modeling real-life experiences. The first book, Worst Enemies/Best Friends, explores creating and testing friendships, skewed first impressions, and being the new kid at school. In the end, true friendship conquers all. Welcome to the world of the BSG!

Definitely a memorable book for me to read. The way Charlotte remembers her mom was heartbreaking and she needs her father to be there for her.

Ghost town is an easy and refreshing read from past books I read. At first I was unsure to read this because of the title reference to ghosts but now I am glad I read it. Ghost town is about the beacon street girls finding famous singers. But only Katani and Isabel can ride with them since they had a draw. The rest of the girls and Charlotte's dad and girl-friend drove themselves but had some... malfunctions with the car causing them to end up in an abonded ghost town with NO CELL PHONE SERVICE! It had humour, romance and most of all was just like real girls! Loved the book and them however I found the Katani and Isabel parts boring to the rest of the story so that is why this book only recieves 4 stars.

My daughter and I are listening to this book. I love the series! These girls are best friends that live on Beacon St. So far, we have listened to Maeve on the Red Carpet and one about Avery. This book has all of the girls in it, as well as Marty, their mascot dog. Good lessons are learned and no bad language. Also, fun for adults, since there are good plots in the series. Enjoyable!

Many parts were unrealistic. Obviously someone is living there when there is food that is not from 50+ years ago, and when there are lights on. JT was a nice addition. However the part about Lissie just happening to be JT's granddaughter of his long lost wife was just too unrealistic. And the twin stars were just annoying. All of the BSG should have gotten stranded together.
