Having played around with one of these at university (waaay back in time), I thought it would be good to read about it again.

Guess what? New computers are very primitive in comparison. Yes you have the net, wifi, etc. But most people do not actually use their computers beyond looking and doing. The ability to get the machine to do some cool things is left engineers, programmers, hackers and the old school users who like to continue to push the limits of the old tech.

As a user and lover of old computers this is a wonderful tome.

For users of Raspberry Pi's and their cousins welcome to real computing! For windows and apple users, keep staring at that screen ;)
