This book was given to me by my Mother-in-law when she was having a clear out, and I doubt she ever cooked from it - not a splatter on it. The chapter "introducing the microwave" amuses me. It describes the microwave as the most exciting kitchen appliance available, and it probably was in 1985 when the book was published. Good no nonsense recipes with readily available ingredients - they didn’t expect the average cook to be able to lay their hands on pomegranate molasses or galangal at their local Asda’s back then.
