Prequel to Dirty Games Duet, i.e. the story of the arranged marriage between Weston King and Elizabeth Dyson. We have already met these two in Dirty Filthy Rich Men and Dirty Filthy Rich Love as secondary characters.
Weston was a player and Elizabeth a very clever woman. Neither of them believed in marriage, but they could both pretend very well.
Infamous Donovan Kincaid also plays a big part in this short prequel.
Very promising start, but of course all the books by Laurelin Page include such delicious hot alphas 😉

Simple prequel - This novella is very short - intro to Elizabeth and Weston's story. Basically just outlines Elizabeth's (main Character) fathers death and her inheritance and one chapter of Weston (Main character). Her and Weston have NOT met each other.

After already reading book 1 Dirty Sexy Player this was the perfect look at the back story of how Elizabeth and Weston meet. It also let's us get a glimpse at how she was so unfairly treated by her own father forcing her into considering something she never dreamed she'd consider doing. And Weston such a naughty, naughty man. Loved every second of this short read!!

This is a great, very short prequel. It's the introduction of Weston and Elizabeth's story. It's a small taste for the Dirty Games duet. It left me wanting more.

Way too short
Way too short, I feel like it should have been added to the prologue of Dirty Rich Player. I haven't read it yet, but I have read Dirty Filthy Rich Men and the book after, which basically tells this story. There's got to be something more for some of the newly added characters, why else bring them up at all? Hopefully, otherwise the only good thing about this is that it is told from their point of view instead of being spoken about between 2 other characters.

Achieved exactly what a prequel should...have you jonesing for more. Been looking forward to getting all the deets on these two & their story.

Dirty Sexy Bastard is definitely an interesting read, and when I say that I mean it in a lot of ways.
All I knew about this short story - and that is what this story is, a short one with only four chapters; three told in Elizabeth's POV and the other in Weston's - was that it was a prequel, and it gives us an insight into how this fake engagement idea came to be set in motion. I'll be honest, whilst reading Dirty Sexy Player and Dirty Sexy Games, I never cared to know about how it came to be set in motion since all I knew was that it was set in motion, and was the main storyline for Dirty Sexy Player.
But reading this prequel... It was most definitely an interesting read to me, and it's safe to say that I absolutely loved it.
Whilst you do not have to read this prequel if you have already read Dirty Sexy Player and Dirty Sexy Games, Dirty Sexy Bastard is still an interesting read to read, and it gave me a nice and refreshing look into Weston and Elizabeth's mind and life pre-fake engagement. And for those of you who have not yet read the books and are wondering if this is a necessary read to read before diving into the duet... Well it depends on if you're the kind of person who likes a visual backstory to the characters before diving into their story all together.
You can read this prequel if you want to, yet you don't have to read this prequel if you don't want to.
If you have the Dirty Sexy Duet on your TBR and are wondering if they're worth the read: read Dirty Sexy Bastard and see for yourself if this duet is for you.
If you love the Dirty Sexy Duet and want more Elizabeth and Weston (even if it is only for four chapters): read Dirty Sexy Bastard.

I know about Donovan Kincaid and Sabrina and about their company Reach Inc. and all of its partners. I never did read the story of Weston and Elizabeth but I am now intrigued so I am ready to read about Weston and how he and Elizabeth the heir to the Dyson Corporation get together. We find Elizabeth at her father's grave site where all these money hungry people have gathered. They do know that she is his only heir and his daughter so women are trying to get her married or suggest their sons and then all of his women that he had gone through were there. Her mother was the only one with an heir and then their is his sister who had a son her cousin who she had to contend with his name is Darrell and we find out that he left Darrell as CEO until Elizabeth gets her shares at the age of 29 or if when she got married. So we find out that Donovan Kincaid had been there at the grave site and had a proposition. We are taken to Weston King, who is the ultimate player and find out that he never wants to get married had something to do with his parents. We also find out that he has a sister Noelle. Interesting start (prequel) to Dirty Games. I am a Laurelin fan so I don't know how I didn't read this one yet. I know it will be good.

This really sets us up for Weston & Elizabeth's Story.
omg i loved this, that DIRTY DIRTY Donovan Kincaid is always behind things and in this we see how he set the scene, I love this mans dirty controlling persona !!! I really liked getting to see Elizabeth prior to doing the "deal". Reeling from the stipulations of her fathers will, we can fully get to understand her predicament.
Weston on the other hand is being true to his arrogant playboy self, womanising and no intention of ever changing !!
So what happens when Donovan's plan of action is put into play????
Elizabeth and Weston didn't really stand a chance lol definitely reading this makes their love story all the sweeter !!!!!!

Dirty Sexy Tease
This is a very short story, a few sparse yet emotional chapters, to give the reader a taste of the author's style for the series. It worked - the sample is intriguing and piqued my curiosity for more.
The writing is clean and well edited; an example:
"As I was about to get in, something caught my eye, or someone, rather—a tall, rugged faced man with a chiseled jaw, standing by a large oak tree, staring in my direction. I’d never seen him before, and while it was natural that people were curious about me today, the way he looked at me felt different. It felt calculating and perceptive. As though he saw something about me that I didn’t, or as if he were sizing me up."

Loved this quick prequel to the Dirty Games series! We get to see the events that brought Elizabeth and Weston into their arrangement in the next books. We see Weston in the pinnacle of his playboy ways and Elizabeth as the fresh young woman looking to prove herself after her fathers passing. They are both looking for something more in life and this shows that beautifully! I found Donovan's role to be just as interesting! This is the perfect compliment and starting point to the Dirty Games series!

This may be a short read but this book sure packs a mighty punch, it’s a very interesting read that gives us all an insight to Weston and Elizabeth’s story. Once again we find it’s Donavan Kincaid behind everything but you can’t help loving this man’s dirty controlling personality. In this quick prequel we get to see Weston at the top of his playboy ways and we see Elizabeth as an innocent young woman looking to ptprive she is capable of taking over her late fathers business.
This is the perfect start to the Dirty Ganes Series and it will leave you wanting more.

This is a short prequel in the Dirty Games duet. It takes place immediately before the Dirty Sexy Player book. You do not need to read this prior to those books, but it gives you a little more insight into the events that took place. As is with the main books themselves, it's well written. There is no sexual content, so unlike the main books, it's safe for teens and up. It's a pretty quick read, less than an hour I'd say, so if you plan on reading the duet, I would suggest reading this as well. You wouldn't even need to read it prior. You can totally read it afterwards and still enjoy it. :)

They both want thing to get our from under the thumbs of their fathers, but an arrangement to end all is playing with Fire…. Is this a game their willing to play, with the chance of being burned. Ggaahhhh, can’t wait to find out - I’m off now too-da-loo ( not literally) 😉

Good little novella introducing the two main characters. Elizabeth and Weston, Elizabeth is willed her deadbeat dads company, but only on her 29th birthday so 4 more years unless she marries. Weston is the ever playboy playing women and taking bets on whether or not he can close the deal and get a woman in bed. The two in this novella has not met, but the beloved Donovan, Weston 's childhood friend and main character in the Fixed Universe series has an idea of who would be able to help Elizabeth with her dilemma. Look forward to reading book 1. I love Laurelin Paige.
