As the number one pill alchemist of the immortal world, Mu Chen had always believed that it was because he had single-mindedly focused on concocting pills that led to him to neglect disciplining his disciple. Which in turn, caused his disciple to be led astray by the seduction of devil cultivation, leading to the three realms to fall to disaster. After his rebirth, Mu Chen resolved to properly teach his disciple, give him the very best resources, earnestly love him, carry him close to his heart, teach him by way of example, and didn’t let him grow corrupt.
Sure enough, his disciple became more and more “intimate”. Every day his disciple even crawled into his bed, rubbing against his chest and clinging to his thigh. It was just that his expression isn’t exactly quite right……
pros: decent characters (both main and side), pretty good start and overall fine plot, funny at times
cons: not as gripping as a lot of other novels, gu yunjue essentially takes advantage of mu chen being under the influence of aphrodisiacs to have s*x with him as well as form a lifelong couples contract with him which was just really shitty overall, their relationship dynamic is basically just gyj teasing mc and mc calling him an evil disciple and hitting him/making him kneel as a punishment which gets super tiring/overdone like 2/3 through the novel, end was pretty rushed and left a ton of plot lines open and unexplored and also sometimes not explained which just left u feeling pretty unsatisfied

I thought it was really boring. Gu was a child for the first 30 chapters and then he was a teenager for the next like 40 and then finally he was an adult. It just took too long and Gu was too clingy and Mu was too oblivious.
Summary: Gu became a devil cultivator and his master Mu was killed so Gu reversed time to start again from when he first entered the sect. Both Mu and Gu traveled back in time and retained their memories but both don't know at first. Mu decides to raise Gu up well this time and Gu wants to ingratiate himself with his Master.
It was okay. The novel started out well, but then lost momentum (and my interest) once the disciple grew up. It got very repetitive, interesting characters were left behind at the sect and replaced with very flat, boring characters who usually only stayed for a couple of chapters before the main characters moved on again. Even the romance became very meh - and more than just a little non-con most of the time. I could barely bring myself to finish the novel.
