Georgia Rae Winston’s romance has broken up. But that’s the least of her problems.

Georgia and Detective Cal Perkins are through. Fine. Maybe it’s an opportunity to give charmer Hamlet Miller a chance.

But there’s no time for romance when Georgia hosts her stepsister and her roommate, Quincy, during a college chorale tour—and Quincy steals Georgia’s car and disappears. When her car turns up in a cemetery with a cryptic note lying on the front seat, Georgia decides to take action.

As Georgia and her stepsister dig into the mystery, they uncover Quincy’s tumultuous past. A history with a wild rock and roll band. Rumors of an illicit affair. A past that points to a frightening present.

When they discover Quincy’s old music professor is involved, they dig deeper and discover a web of deception they’re determined to untangle, if they can stay alive long enough to bring the truth to light.

Deadly Harmony is the fourth book in the acclaimed Georgia Rae Winston mystery series, following Deadly Harvest, Deadly Holiday, and Deadly Heritage.

This is a clean well written mystery that is full of action, drama and a touch of romance. It holds your attention from the beginning until the end. It is full of twists and turns and will keep you guessing until the end. This is book 4 in the series and can be read as a stand-alone, but I would recommend you start with book 1 to get all of the background on the people in this book. I have enjoyed all of the books in the Georgia Rae Winston Mystery series and recommend this series to anyone who likes a good who-done-it. I received a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

This is the first book by this author that I have listened to but I really enjoyed and don't think it will be my last. It was a very unusual and interesting mystery, which kept twisting on you just when you thought you knew what it was all about. The characters were like able and I might just be going back to the beginning to learn more about them, especially the fun and quirky family dynamics. When it first started I did think it might not have been my sort of thing because of the religious aspects but that wasn't the case the author wrote so well that you knew it was a church group but didn't make you sit through long sermons or praying. All in all a fun cosy mystery that will keep you guessing and laughing.
When Georgia Rae stepsister's choir group goes on tour,, she volunteers to host three of the teenage girls at her farm. But one of the girls goes missing during the night taking Georgia's car. When the car is found outside the local cemetery fears rise for her safety. Should the police be treating it as a runaway, abduction or trafficking case? The note left behind said she was fine and not to worry but that is exactly what Georgia and her step sister do. So they start there own investigation into the girls boyfriend, classmates and teachers to get to the bottom of the disappearance. Then a body is found and the case gets really complicated. Can the pair find the girl before it is to late?
I have heard this author narrate a number of books (by different authors) and think she has done an excellent job every time, as she puts a lot of effort into bringing the characters to life.

This is a good cozy mystery with twists and surprises. I haven’t read any others in the series, but I would happily read more. The only issue I had with this book is the superiority complex in so many of the Christian characters. I don’t like it. For example One of the characters states that she’s not sure her friend is Christian, hastily adding that she’s not judging. ( yes, she is!) Then a male character explains why he ended a relationship with a former girlfriend saying something along the lines of “God let me know she wasn’t one of his best, so she wasn’t for me “. Whoa there! My only thought was that the former girlfriend dodged a bullet! What woman would want to be married to someone who thinks he’s more special than her in God’s eyes? The main character is likable enough, and the little tidbits I was given in this story about what happened in previous stories is enough to make me want to listen to more.
Jennifer Jill Araya did a great job with the narration.

I’m so in love with Marissa Shrock’s books! The characters are so fun and I can’t help laugh every time Preston and Austin are involved. Georgia is so awesome at figuring out murders, but not so good at figuring out her love life. I enjoy how fun these stories are and love trying to figure them out. This story has a little something for everyone, humor, mystery and romance all rolled up into one book you can’t put down. This book is a clean murder mystery, the author does a wonderful job of showing how God hears our prayers even in our most trying times. Can’t wait to read more by Marissa Shrock!

Being a musically talented person myself this book was definitely up my alley. I absolutely loved this. Music and murder and mystery all in one.
Georgia finds herself looking after her stepsister after her sisters roommate goes missing. As Georgia investigates things just keep adding up without any answers. After her sister goes missing Georgia and Austin and Preston all get really worried. Georgia delves deeper into the mystery and as usual ends up in trouble.
I can’t wait for the next. I want to know how things kick off with Georgia and Hamlet or if Cal gets back her....

This one was a little different with Cal and Georgia not dating, but was still a great read.

Georgia Rae Winston is trying to get over her breakup with Cal, but she must set it aside when a university student disappears after staying with Georgia on a choir tour. She works with her step-sister to try and solve the mystery. However, their lives are in danger the closer they get to putting all the pieces together.

Can Georgia figure out her love life as another prospect is waiting in the wings for her to get over Cal or will this mystery take its toll on her life?

Deadly Harmony is a delight! I loved reading this cozy mystery. It kept me glued to the pages trying to unravel the mystery along with Georgia and her step-sister. The plot was well written and engaging. It kept me guessing to the very end.

The characters came to life on the page. I loved Georgia’s friends, her step-sister, and step brothers. The twins are a hoot!

The imagery used throughout was effective. I could see myself in the combine with Georgia in the fields, cemetery, coffee shop, and other areas of the town while she played detective.

I can’t wait to find out how Georgia’s love life will turn out. Maybe we’ll find out more in the next installment of the Georgia Rae Winston Mystery Series. I will be waiting!

I give Deadly Harmony five solos. This excellent mystery will keep the reader singing with delight as they attempt to unravel the clues to find out who did it!
