Just Be Her

Rate this book
I'm living someone else's life.

It was supposed to be an escape, a break from the painful memories and crushing responsibility keeping me awake at night.

Fate brought me face-to-face with the chance of a lifetime – the chance to be her.

Just for a little while.
Just for a taste of another life.

We may have looked identical, but everything else about us couldn’t be more different. It was supposed to be easy and fun. No one had to know.

But gradually, I lost the line between who she was and who I wanted to be.

I never imagined I’d fall in love. How was I supposed to go back to my old life when I felt like I belonged in hers?

”Lube me up before you shove something that big up my—”

Seriously never thought I would enjoy a life swap book so dang much. Dual POV from two women who randomly meet and unexplainably share the same face. It’s like the Parent Trap on romantic flavored hallucinogenics. Yes it’s a little over the top, and there’s some soap opera level circumstances, but HOLY COW, I loved it. I stayed up until 3am reading because it’s the perfect mix of sweet, steamy, and emotional.

Read this book ASAP. Right now.

Fans of the stories like the parent trap will love the life swap premise- as two women find their doppelganger and decide to escape their own lives. On the surface, these two are totally different- on a feisty bartender, the other a frustrated socialite, but escaping in each other’s realities not only opens the door for romances with the people that circle their worlds but also helps both Alex and Toni explore themselves, while also getting to know each other. And, of course, we have some “less conventional” romance (some MMF/polyamorous love story lines) that make it more fun and even spicier.

We do have two storylines told in parallel, which I know can make some readers impatient. I sometimes find that it stunts my emotional engagement simply because I’m moving my focus between different storylines. But here I actually appreciated it- in part because their two stories are interconnected and thematically tied, and also because in truth this story felt more ensemble in nature, with the romances just part of the dynamic. This is a romance, don’t get me wrong, but we also are exploring themes of self-identity and friendship and family. Kayedence also uses this narrative approach to beautifully juxtapose not only their evolution of each of their romances but also their own character growth and discovery- two very different women going through a similar self-awareness exploration. There are a few tonal shifts that jolted me a bit, but otherwise this was a fun, witty, and sweet story. Really clever and creative writing.

I read this for the romance, but I left inspired by the focus Kaydence gave to the sisterhood of these two women- their budding relationship and the way they inspire and support one another. The characterization is really stellar, both Alex and Toni are nuanced and interesting, the dynamism of their characters only accentuated by their character contrasts, and this made this story so much more than a sexy romance (all though it as it) but one about self-discovery and acceptance, finding your purpose, and the power of connection.

Kaydence Snow is wildly talented, and I’m excited for more and more readers to find her. She’s demonstrated a impressive versatility in the work she’s created thus far, has proven to be a fantastic world and character builders, and she brings an emotional gravitas- a meaningful point of view- to the stories she creates, no matter how sexy or fun they are on the surface. Just Be Her is another testament to her creativity and talent. This one left me feeling all happy- and grateful I found her stories!

Overall 4.5 stars- really enjoyed this read!

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars! Switching places! I love temporary life swap stories, they are so intriguing and this was one was one hell of a story. I love when they don’t take into account falling for the men in each other’s lives, it makes for a fun story. This was a really good one.

THIS BOOK. I was intrigued from the very beginning and as the first chapter continued, I was completely addicted to this story. Just Be Her is different from anything I have ever read and it was truly a breath of fresh air.

Toni is a bartender, she is fully of sass and just doesn’t care what anyone thinks of her. Alex is reserved, proper and is all about her image. Toni and Alex are complete opposites when it comes to their personalities, however, when it comes to looks they are 100% identical. I loved both of these women, they were each so different, but I felt like I could connect with them. I loved the instant bond and friendship they formed throughout the story.

This book is told in a dual POV but not in the typical romance fashion. It is told from Toni and Alex’s views the entire time. The story had a great flow and with the two views, as a reader, you easily got the full picture without a ton of repeating and overlapping.

While this story was completely different and unique for me, it was also a great romance. It packed A LOT of steam (ahem Ren and Andre) and plenty of sweetness. The growth of Toni and Alex throughout the story is what really made me love this. They both fought for their dreams and formed an everlasting friendship and bond.

Just Be Her is highly addictive and completely blew my mind. It is a MUST READ!

This was my first book by Kaydence Snow and I was so enamored with it. Toni and Oren's relationship was my favorite while I thought Alexandria's relationship with Andre and Ren were simply okay. Hot but okay. Toni had me laughing so hard because she was pretending to be super polite and proper when he real personality was not. She's crass, independent, sassy, and fiesty. For her to be paired up with Oren aka the "rich pretty boy" was so interesting to see because he is her complete opposite! If The Parent Trap and The Prince and the Pauper had a baby, Just Be Her is it. I guess the one downside to this book was that I really wanted to see Toni and Oren's relationship to be fleshed out more. I was invested in their relationship and I thought it was so cute that the girl who doesn't think she has a heart ended up falling for a nice and proper guy.

The story itself wasn't the most unique trope but I thought Kaydence Snow did an excellent job building her characters and giving them a voice. I loved the bond that Alex and Toni had. They met under unusual circumstances and decided to switch for a month. Who knew that they'd both end up falling in love! The secret behind why their faces look identical was revealed in the end and I was quite shocked by it although part of me also saw it coming. The reason why this book didn't rate higher for me was because even though I liked Alex, I didn't like the MMF relationship she had with Andre and Ren whom I could never completely liked or cared for. It was a complete contrast to Toni and Oren's sweet relationship. Hers was more sexual and revolved around having a good time. Quite different for someone who grew up nice and proper.

In the end, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was invested in half of the relationship lol. Toni and Oren's relationship was the highlight for me. It was an enjoyable read and I would love to read more from Kaydence Snow in the future. I just loved how funny and relatable Toni was! I highly recommend this book if you're into marriage of conveniences, twin swaps, as well as a feisty and funny heroine with a sweet beta hero with just the right touch of possessiveness.

I have become a huge fan of Kaydence Snow with the Evelyn Maynard Trilogy, she has just cemented it with Just Be Her. Here is a different take on any switch I have read before. Not just the writing style and the fabulous characters, it has to do with the dual pov. I liked seeing from both sides.

Just Be Her features exact look alikes Toni and Alex. Toni is a bartender, she is sassy, and just lives her life how she wants. Alex is very reserved, and very much cares about her image. Join them as they navigate the messy waters of switching roles and maybe find a friendship that lasts. Who knows maybe they can find love along the way.

Just Be Her was not what I was expecting, but really enjoyed. I was not expecting it to be focused on two main female leads, and I was not expecting to have the dual pov of both of them. This enhanced the reading experience for me. If you are looking for a good book to read about to women who have growth throughout the book, lots of steamy scenes, sweet moments, and fighting for what you want. This book is for you.

This was one hell of a read! This story had captivated me from one of the first chapters, where intrigues would lay deep into the core of the story, but it was so so good. I had my expectations for some things, and some were light, but some couldn't be more wrong.
Toni and Alex can't be more different in their own prime, but... they are IDENTICAL and this is how the story will follow from thins point and suck you in until the very last sentence - I was kept like a CAPTIVE. I won't tell any more about the plot as it could possibly spoil the read, and that's something I avoid at all costs. If there will be next book I sign up with my all four ms for it and I will be IMpatiently waiting for it, even begging for it.
Give this story a try, but be warned there is some steam and some scenes that might be a little disturbing.

Just be Her is a contemporary romance novel that strongly resembles the familiar tale of the Prince(ss) and the Pauper. Which should tell you enough about the plot!

I don’t need a lot of words for this review. I have nothing to complain about. It was well written, well paced and absolutely gripping!

One of my fave retellings. An instant favourite!

Most of the story was actually much cuter than I thought it'd be. just like the other reviews say, it's kind of like a grownup version of The Parent Trap. I even laughed out loud a couple of times (before the story got too crazy).

The story:
Antoinette and Alexandria cross paths randomly and decide to switch lives for a month. Of course they both mess up each other's lives in the meantime by falling in love with men who think they're with the other girl. Eventually the girls found out they're twin sisters. And both girls get an HEA with their respective men.
..HOWEVER, there is actually an attempted murder and an attempted SA just like too-casually and randomly thrown in there (one girl faces the murderer, the other faces the attempted r*pist). and that part was just kind of glossed over. That was crazy.
This would have been a 5 star read for me if the story did not include that random violence that was placed in there so haphazardly like it wasn't a big deal. like the attempted r*pist just gets fired from his job and that's it. ? Uh no.

The parts that made me laugh? When Alexandria was coming out of her shell. Like when both girls somehow accidentally end up taking swamp boat tours at the same time, and Alex keeps flying by Toni's boat, just to freak her out that they might get found out lol. She's pretty sure she's going too fast for any other people to recognize her, but she does it anyway.
I also laughed at Alex's rant she spouts off at the fancy restaurant she goes to with Ren and his parents when the parents are being so rude and dismissive of Ren the whole time, so Alex yells at them about being pretentious assholes lol. She dresses all trashy and she gets to act like she's always wanted to, putting stuck-up people in their place.

Ren and Andre are hotttt. Alex is lucky lol.
...And I like Toni and Oren together too - their romance is kind of sweet - but the stuff with the stablehand was, ugh barf-inducing. and Oren WAS kind of boring.

Just Be Her was a nice treat as it's been a long while since I have read a swap-identities story and this one was well-written and edited, with intriguingly different heroines and some delicious MMF. Objectively speaking, the juxtaposition of the tandem story lines was done very well - something I know is not easily done from the many books I have read that don't do it near as well - the chapters alternate at the right places in the story while moving the story along without repeating things the reader has already seen. Subjectively speaking - this type of story mechanic is not my personal favorite. I often find myself just getting into one side of the story right before it switches and then half my mind is still focused on the former thread, making me not as fully present in the current one. I never quite felt the emotion between the characters, and that may be partially (or fully) owing to that personal quirk of mine with the back and forth storytelling. I would have liked more time on page spent between the heroines and their love interests, to really see their love grow, but I also think that might have messed with the established flow, so I can accept it as is too. I liked that just as much (if not more) attention was given to the growing relationship between the heroines, and seeing them realize their dreams. This is a talented author - I'm looking forward to the creative ideas she will treat us with next.

“Just be her” is like an X-rated, adult version of the parent trap and I was all there for it. It was full of heart, steam, loyalty and of course my favourite, family secrets. I loved how at the end of each chapter, you got see a txt message thread between Alex and Toni, its little details like these that I love about reading and this was no exception. I also loved hearing a little be more to Ren and Andre’s story. Overall, Just Be Her was a super fun, super steamy read and I highly recommend it if you love Kaydence’s other novels.

I really enjoyed this book it reminded me of the princess switch movie but with like 1000 times more spice!! The two main characters switch because one wants a break from her life and responsibilities the other needs the money. There are themes of enemies to lovers, polyamory, second chance romance. The author wraps up this story very nicely by skipping ahead a year and telling you how everyone’s story ends. You won’t regret giving this book a chance!

Going into this book I wasn’t sure what to expect but I’m sure glad I read it. Yes there is romance and some hot scenes but I absolutely loved that it was a story of friendship and family. It really showed you can find friends and even family in the most random of places and you never know if a person you are just meeting will become a best friend or even a sister. That’s what I loved most about this book is the growth of friendship between Toni and Alex. How close they became without knowing all the facts. Allowing this crazy friendship to evolve allowed them to find family and even the loves of their lives. This book gave me everything I needed from friendship to family, loss and pain but also hope for the future since all you need is to meet that one person who can change your life for the better and that’s exactly what I think Toni and Alex did for each other.

I adored this story. It’s nothing that you would expect from this amazingly talented author, and yet everything that you didn’t know you needed. I spent the entire time I was reading this book being utterly smitten and taken back to a time when all I wanted to do was live out my own Parent Trap fantasies. This is almost like that, but better. You see, we get a grown-up look at a classic switcher-oo. I mean really, what could be more epic?

This story has multiple POV’s from the most unlikely people. It’s so different and unique, something I’ve never really seen and I read a LOT of books. It’s one of those rare stories that has you thinking, ‘surely I’ve read something like this before’ and then suddenly you’re 12 chapters deep and you realize this is nothing like any other book out there. The theme feels familiar, but it’s one hundred percent original. It’s the most brilliant combination, like revisiting your childhood but being able to make the most out of your adult fantasies.

I refuse to speak much on the actual plot because honestly, I just don’t want to give a darn thing away. However, I’m not opposed to telling you a few facets that you might experience while reading. There’s copious amounts of humor, scorching heat and sweltering steam, sweet love storylines and smooth elegant writing. It’s a polished story that shines in an untapped trope, one I’m sure will make fans exceedingly happy.

Anyway, I loved this story and I’m confident that you will too. It’s brilliant and bold and sure to bring a smile to the face of even the grumpiest critic.

This life-swap story is not what I typically read, but Just Be Her turned out to be quite an enjoyable read.

Sassy bartender Toni and socialite Alex are completely opposite in personality, but each other's doppelganger. So a random run-in with her lookalike creates the perfect scenario for Alex to temporarily escape the life she doesn't want to be living. It also creates the perfect scenario for each woman to fall for the men in the other's life, a complication neither of them expected. (Reader beware, there are some MMF scenes as Alex is in a relationship with two guys.)

Told in dual POV from the perspectives of both Toni and Alex, this story was captivating. There are plenty of steamy moments with the ladies and the guys in their lives, but the friendship that forms between Toni and Alex was just as surprising as the romances that come out of their life swap. By the end of the story, there's a plot twist that explains Toni and Alex's connection.

Just Be Her was an unexpected story, and a real page-turner. A great modern take on The Prince and the Pauper, mixed together with a sexier Parent Trap!

3.5/5

- honestly i was so invested that i forgot to write up notes for a review
- it’s predictable and instalovey, but so so fun and light. it’s the perfect pick me up
- THANK YOU FOR THE CONSENT SCENES I MAY HAVE CRIED A LITTLE
- actually kaydence is really good with consent scenes and making communication important
- and thank you for not sexualizing the m/m
- (i think akdnsj) (i didn’t read it that way at least lol)
- and thank you for not making alex and toni rivals 😭😭
- and for giving me a soft man in oren
- the dialogue was a little... novice
- which makes it cheesy and sometimes almost borderline cringe
- but it was still good lol
- honestly kaydence knows what she’s doing when it comes to poly ships (and reverse harem) and it’s great
- tbh i could’ve 100% done without that attempted rape scene tho (tw for that)
- she got me with evelyn maynard and now she’s keeping me with just be her

Kaydence has done it again

I loved that this book was all about finding yourself, not giving into pressure, to do the right things for others or preventing yourself from things to protect yourself. Initially it gave me Prince and the pauper vibes set in the modern day with Toni being a loud mouthed feisty bar tender and Alex coming from money and marrying for convenience. I loved the characters developments throughout the story. The plot was exceptional and emotional. It contains some hot mm, mmf and Mr moments. I really loved it. I finished this book a few days ago and am still thinking about it. Put it on your TBR list and read it.

Just Be Her by Kaydence Snow was the adult version of The Parent Trap, which made for a fun and steamy read. However, I did have a few issues with pacing and development. Toni and Alex meet unexpectedly outside of the bar Toni works at. These two women are strangers to each other, but when they look at each other for the first time, they realize they look the same. Because of the uncanny resemblance, Alex proposes a crazy idea. Alex is getting married in one month to someone she's never met in person in order to save her family's wine company. She wants a month of freedom, and proposes that she and Toni switch places. In return, Toni will be paid handsomely. Toni just has to spend the month with Alex's fiancé and family. Toni decides to agree. She could use the money, seeing as she works at a bar and lives in an apartment above it. She dreams of going to college. Alex and Toni switch, now all they have to do is keep up the charade and definitely not fall for people in the other's life.

I actually really enjoyed this book and read it very quickly because I was so engrossed in Toni and Alex's lives. The book switched back and forth between Alex and Toni's perspectives. I really liked both women and their different personalities. I thought the twist on The Parent Trap was a great idea, and Kaydence executed it really well. However, I found myself getting slightly frustrated when a chapter was so short and barely gave the reader anything. Because of the length of the chapters and the slightly cliffhanger ending that sometimes occurred, it could be hard to get fully into each woman's life. I felt like I couldn't fully see the romantic relationships develop because of the back and forth and the need for the chapter to end on something substantial. The chapters ended up feeling a little bit more like a slice-of-life rather than building on each one. I really loved the chemistry between Alex and Andre in the first half of the book. It was amazing and I could really feel the attraction. And then it felt like it kind of died down a ton, as Alex then had a bunch of chapters focusing on Ren. I have read about poly relationships before and I love when a book features a poly couple, but I wasn't fully hooked on the poly relationship in Just Be Her. Something was missing between the trio and there wasn't quite enough to fully win me over. Regarding Toni, I really liked seeing her and Oren. However, I also felt like their relationship was super sudden. There was a little buildup and then bam they were together and then it was straight into the angst and longing and conscience. While Alex's relationship felt a little too slow and disconnected, Toni's felt too rushed. I will say that I thought there was definitely chemistry between the intended love interests. The big reveals and twists in about the last 25% of the book were good, but again, they felt a little rushed. Everything comes crumbling quite suddenly and I wish you had seen more of the aftermath. I would've liked to see more of the characters once the dust had settled. Overall, this was definitely a good read. I thought it kept me hooked and wanting more and there were some unexpected plot twists.

I discovered Kaydence Snow earlier in the year. I’ve yet to read a book of hers that I haven’t loved.

Just be Her is a fun new take on the Prince and the Pauper with a surprise plot twist. Or two.

Toni is a standoffish, orphaned, bar tender with trust issues. She left the upper Midwest after her parent’s deaths on a quest to find a place where she fit. New Orleans is where she landed. Wooed into a bar by the music pouring out into the street and begrudgingly adopted/hired by the bar’s owner, Andre. Toni is killing time with the goal of one day making it to college.

Alexandra is the opposite. A posh, upper crust, family heiress princess sitting on the slowly crumbling remains of her father’s business, Alex is in the process of selling her soul over for the money influx needed to pull her family’s vineyard back from the brink. Understandably, Alex is more than a little overwhelmed by the whole “brink of ruin and an arranged marriage to a perfect stranger to safe me” situation she finds herself in. One well timed panic attack has Alex meeting Toni.

Prep school posture with a string of pearls meet grunge band chain smoker doppelgänger.

For all that Toni has a tough “Don’t touch me, talk to me, be near me” exterior and mouth, she’s hiding a soft core. Seeing a stranger in distress in her alley puts a crimp in her break, but she can’t walk away. Once Toni has calmed Alex enough to know that she won’t keel over in the alley, Toni walks thinking that’s the end of it.

For Alex, watching her double stride confidently away, owning her space and herself, she sees something she yearns for.

This is where the story really takes off.

Somehow, okay....with a VERY generous bribe to help fund a college dream, Alex convinces Toni to switch places with her for two weeks.

The thought is that Alex will have a break from the impending doom that’s hanging over her while Toni enjoys a vacation and getting to know her new fiancée. Or, Alex’s new fiancée.

This plan of course goes seriously off course in a matter of hours.

Toni can only play nod and smile for so long. Also, her nicotine addiction is going to kill her pretense. Add in a hot as heck stable manager whom she is NOT engaged to and she’s already sliding down her hill of destruction. Cross town Alex doesn’t fair much better. She’s on time to things. She offers to help. She doesn’t complain. She talks. Things that Toni struggles with. Alex is one complex mixed drink away from tossing her disguise to no repair.

Then there are the guys that these ladies run into.

Andre has been Toni’s boss and landlord since she walked in off the streets. He has a big heart and stretches it for Toni...but Alex steals it. Then there’s Ren. The smoky, seductive voices singer for the band that plays at the bar. He and Toni are like alley cats marking territory. But Ren and Alex - sparks fly. Which is made more interesting given that Ren is also Andre’s long term partner.

Toni is falling in love with horses and Alex’s fiancée. Stable manager Jack is hot and has that manual labor sexy working for him, but it’s Oren who begins to grab Toni’s heart. Toni shows him the soft heart that she doesn’t let anyone see. She offers him her scars and her fears. Oren treats them like treasures and offers Toni his in return.

Things are getting messy and dirty and then Alex’s mom comes to town.

Screeching halt.

This is the plot twist. No I am NOT going to tell you anything about it. Needless to say, as a plot twist, Annabelle (Alex’s mom) acts as a detonator to the bomb the two girls have been dancing on.

Alex’s life as Toni starts to flake in pieces. Toni’s life as Alex starts to show the deep cracks. Everything falls into one big pile of cards without any winners.

Then comes the second twist. The girls find similarities to each other. They begin to help each other repair the damage to the two different worlds. They find that their biggest supporter is someone they never saw coming.

While this is a retelling of an old fable, it doesn’t play to script. There’s that warmth of familiarity, while the characters run into new and different obstacles. The prep school princess finds herself in a polyamorous relationship. And it’s okay.
The poor girl from the upper Midwest finds that the rich Southern boy doesn’t fit his stereo type. And he needs her to fill in the gaps.

A new family is created.

And they all DO live happily ever after.

This read is fantastically written from characters, to plot, to world building. As I’ve come to expect with Ms. Snow’s works, her female characters drive the story. They are always strong, always a little broken inside, and never a cookie cutter person from all the other stories you read. Her male characters are equal matches for her females with dialogue that rivals an Aaron Sorkin script.
Her worlds are richly detailed and shown to the reader via the character’s point of view. Side characters aren’t just cardboard space takers. They grab a bit of the reader’s affection as well.

Overall, a wonderful curl up in a chair and settle for a good story telling book.

I was enthralled from page one...completely pulled in and unable to put down this story until the very end!
Can I just say, this story has it all...love, family, mystery, intrigue, and a splash of dirty...I mean if you can't find something within this story to love, seriously...it was wow!

Years ago I used to read Sidney Sheldon, Danielle Steele, Mary Higgins Clark...Just Be Her was like taking a piece of each of those authors and mixing them in a shaker and pouring out a dirty martini.

This is a modern twist on the Princess and the Pauper. Just Be Her takes us on a journey of two women, Toni and Alex, who come from very different backgrounds and switch lives.

Toni lives above and works in a bar, enjoying the single life while never getting attached to the men she brings home, or to anyone in her life. Whereas Alex is engaged to a man she hasn't met in person, it's an arranged marriage, but to Alex her family and the business she runs is everything to her.

When Alex and Toni accidently meet and realize that they look identical, Alex asks to switch lives. Her impending wedding is looming and her life is crushing down on her. To her, Toni's life seems uncomplicated-no ties, no responsibilities, an escape from reality is just the vacation she needs and she offers Toni something she's never had...the life of luxury. What could possibly go wrong?

Neither woman could have ever imagined to have fit into the other's world as easily as they did, making it harder and harder to want to switch back as time winds down, but there are duties to be met and they can't stay in the other's life even if they wanted to.

If you loved the Parent Trap as a kid..

So good! I’m a huge fan of Kaydence’s work. I don’t think I’ve read anything from her that I didn’t enjoy. Just Be Her was such a fun read. Like the title says, if you loved the Parent Trap as a kid then you are going to love this grown up (and waaaayyyyy dirtier version). All of us at one time or another has wanted to switch lives with someone else, be someone different, see how the “other half” lives. I know that I always wondered what it would be like if I found my doppelgänger or a long lost twin. Just Be Her shows how even if you have the same exact face you can be in completely different situations. Toni and Alex are so different from the other, but I loved watching them figure out who they were, and finding out they had more in common then they thought. This is a story of found family and learning you might mean more to people than you know. This is also a book about learning about yourself and looking inward to figure out what truly makes you happy. I love the banter, the chemistry the plot.. everything flows so smooth and takes us on such an amazing journey of character growth and self discovery. Nothing is ever what it seems, and people will surprise you. Just Be Her shows us you can’t really judge a book by it’s cover, and fate has a funny way of changing your life. The spice and steam is so freaking hot, and the emotions pull at your heartstrings. There are so many different relationships developing in this book, but you don’t get lost and can truly enjoy the journey. I couldn’t put it down and highly recommend this book.

An interesting read for sure. It’s not every day you come across a book that has long lost siblings that have a parent trap moment but with more intense and somewhat darker tones. I enjoyed this so much!
.
I didn’t know what to expect with this book even after reading the blurb so when I read it my excitement level grew throughout the whole book. I love Alex and Toni. Both polar opposites and from different walks of life but both find what they each were missing in each other and Paths they pretended to lead. I was intriguing as hell to watch as they navigated being each other after a freak meet in a dirty alleyway. Watching as they find what they least expected to, was great. Seeing Toni, a closed off independent woman, fall in love with someone everyone least expected and Alex, a prim and proper woman, find freedom and the love she craved with her men was amazing.
.
Both have been through so much in life and both had the most incredible growth and development through the book, it was amazing to see. The characters were great and seeing the different scenarios and how their paths seem to both interweave and still be seperate was fascinating. I have enjoyed watching the relationships develop and grow, the instant chemistry and the secrets unfold was great.
.
The mystery and underlying thrill aspect had me gripped. I cannot get enough of this book. Such a drama filled read with it starting right off the bat. I really didn’t want it to end and I look forward to seeing more from Kaydence. She certainly knows how to intrigue and captivate an audience.

I went in blind to this book, I didn't read the blurb, I just liked the original cover and now I also love the new cover! 😍 And what did I find.....well just a witty, funny, light-hearted, steamy, surprising, page-turner!
.
Just Be Her is a parent-trap style life switch romance, but at it's heart it is also so much more than that. Alex & Toni are completely different people in almost every way except their doppelganger looks, and on the face of it their life switch should NOT work, because of how different they are. But what Kaydence has shown (again!) is that well known message of 'not judging a book by it's cover'. Throughout their month long switch, the girls discover new layers of themselves while also letting each other in. Their text conversations had me howling! 😂
.
Because of the nature of the book we get not only one romance but two and I loved seeing the differences between how the girls stories develop. There are twists at the end which I did not see coming, and while they change the tone of the story for a short while, overall I was left with an over-riding feeling of fun, laughter, acceptance and love when I finished the story 🥰
.
For fans of the steamy scenes there are plenty of angsty build up scenes as well as full out steam! There's elements of menage and MM too, so a real fulfilling mixed bag for the lovers of all tropes of romance 🔥
