As more bodies are found, tortured, and discarded like trash, Detectives Connor Maxwell, Kate Stroup, and K9 beagle, Sundae, feel the pressure to catch the dangerous criminal in their midst. Is the killer purposefully leaving misleading clues or just lucky? Can Connor, Kate, and Sundae untangle the mystery of what is real and what is deception? This tense, suspenseful thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat and reading late into the night to find the answers.
Timothy Glass’s journey is as dynamic as the stories he tells. Born in Pennsylvania and raised under the wide skies of Central New Mexico, Tim learned early the value of hard work and resilience. To put himself through college, he spent nearly nine years as a first responder—an experience that shaped both his character and his storytelling.
A proud graduate of the University of New Mexico, Tim’s path has taken him from the deserts of the Southwest to the rocky coasts of New England and the sunlit shores of Central Florida. Along the way, he has built an impressive creative legacy as an award-winning author, illustrator, cartoonist, writing instructor and songwriter.
Before his name became synonymous with fiction and illustration, Glass wrote under the pen name C. Stewart, crafting over 400 nonfiction articles for national and international publications in the health and fitness industry.
His sharp insights and engaging voice made him a sought-after contributor for several New York–based magazines. Until its closure in the late 1990s, Tim was also a freelance, journalist for It’s a Wrap, New Mexico’s celebrated entertainment quarterly.
Beyond journalism, he’s worked as a ghostwriter and story consultant, helping others bring their visions to life. From first responder to storyteller, Timothy Glass has dedicated his life to exploring—and sharing—the human experience, one story at a time.
With this book Deception, the second Connor Maxwell Mystery, author Timothy Glass has delivered a taut, exciting, page-turner that will delight fans of police procedural mysteries and leave them looking for more from this team. Find a comfortable spot and settle in for a fast-paced ride that will leave you breathless. Great stuff! Strong characters and great storytelling in this series will hopefully introduce new fans to this series. I can't recommend Tim's books enough.
I really enjoyed this book . It. was direct, more interested in story line than bogged down in procedures. And didn't forget about the important roll other breeds can play if given a chance.
My husband and I both love this series. A great read with mystery, detectives, love interest, and an adorable K9 officer named Sundae. Once started, hard to put down. I highly recommend this series.
