Story 1: 3 stars: Some scientists create some giants. Superman gets involved when they kidnap the governor's daughter. Lois rents a plane which the giants grab out of the sky. Superman rips the top of a volcano off and the giants trample their small human sized creators running from the lava. Superman rescues the governor's daughter and Lois before the lava gets them but not before it covers and destroys the giants.

Story 2: 4 stars: Clark tries to stop some Fifth Columnists. After getting the list of names as Superman he calls a contact and is framed for the contact's bosses murder as Clark. Clark manages to escape and follows the fleeing Columnists and dodged their own firepower to cause their secret base to explode. Clark returns to Metropolis and in a rare show of spine for Clark threatens to shoot the man who framed him if he doesn't tell the truth. The list and the full story of the secret base clears his name.

Story 3: 3 stars: Clark and Lois go to an amusement park and get swindled for money at a carnival game. Clark fakes cowardice as usual when the con men push back. Lois wants to write an expose about and goes to get photographic proof. When the con men destroy her camera and start beating another game player that refuses to pay Superman starts for lack of a better word pummeling them. More men join. Same result. One pulls a pocket knife and in an awesome response Superman grabs it and eats it!!! Yes I said eats a pocket knife. After bashing everyone around long enough the police show up and confess to get the beatings to stop. The head of the racket is chased down and caught with a bag of pick pocketed loot red handed by the police. Lois gets her story printed as a wrap up.

Story 4: 3 stars: Some dope fiends are on the run from the law. Superman stops their car but the leader manages to escape. The leader of the gang goes to his boss a lawyer. The lawyer tells him to lay low. Superman lays a trap with a promise of a large amount of drugs. The police capture the thieves and the head of the lawyers law firm assists in getting everyone off due to a technicality. The original lawyer kills the leader of the dope fiends as they think he is going to squeal. Both the lawyer and the head lawyer try to dispose of the body. Superman captures them and seals them in their truck for the police and a long jail sentence.

Stories 3 and 4 were classic gangster/bad guy stories. Story 2 was a classic national pride story. Story 1 was the oddball evil scientist story where they had money as a motive. 12 or 13 pages a piece they were quick one-offs that were fun for passing time. Artwork was good but the word balloons and expository captions above the panel were huge and not spaced out enough to cleanly see where one panel ended and the next began. Hopefully as the stories continue they clean that up a bit. It would make for a bit more enjoyable of a read.

A lot of uninteresting stories and repetitive events but some stories were nice. Also I see the artist is trying to improve the visuals.
