About the Take Three Mysteries Series Gone in a Blink is the second book of the Take Three Mysteries series, the first being Goan Chase. Both the books in the series can be enjoyed by ages nine and above. Fans of Famous Five, Secret Seven, Nancy Drew, and Hardy Boys are sure to enjoy the fast-paced, exciting books in the series!
I still remember the first story I penned. It was about a magical crystal ball and my very encouraging English teacher had made me read it out loud in front of the whole class. Since I was only six at that time, a block like stage fear didn't exist, and it was all fun and giggles. Since I started reading and writing at a very young age, I had finished novelettes by the time I was a teenager (they're still my most valuable possessions). By the time I was in college, I was freelancing for various publications and websites. Over the years, I worked as a contributing editor, advertising copywriter, technical writer, and an award-winning instructional designer. I started my journey as an author by first learning the ropes of writing children and young adult fiction from the Institute of Children’s Literature, United States. As with many authors, success eluded me for long. The turning point came when I was adjudged one of the winners in the nationwide WriteIndia contest, organized by the Times of India group. It was the answer to a question I'd been asking for a long time; it gave me the courage to finally bring the Take Three Mysteries series to life. Currently, I'm a hands-on mother to my seven-year-old daughter and a corporate consultant. I love connecting with readers and authors! Sometimes helping someone is not the right thing to do, but keeping your mouth shut is. It may put your life in grave danger. And that happens with Ayesha who thinks she is helping the police by giving the clues in a robbery. What she didn’t realize is, she is putting her life in danger.
Ayesha, a fifteen-year-old girl saw something strange and unusual in her neighborhood on the day of a robbery. She unintentionally blurted out the clues to police to help find the robber and solve the big mystery and landed herself in trouble. No one believed her and her clues didn’t match with the pieces of evidence police found. Then something strange started happening. She was attacked and followed by unknown vehicles and threatened repeatedly.
Her two best friends Jai and Nirvaan were her side only and helped her come out of her fears and face the trouble. They tried to help her find the robber but it was too late.
Gone in a Blink is the second book in the ‘Take Three Mystery series’. The first one was ‘Gone Chase’, which was well-received by the readers and was nominated for various Reader’s Choice Awards. The book is now a selected read in libraries across India and the world.
An entertaining thrilling teenage mystery book that keeps you on the hook. It will leave you to keep guessing. I bet you won’t be able to find the robber before Ayesha and her best friends did. A definite page-turner. If you are into teenage mystery books, Author Richa Sambhy Mediratta has written one for you.
Gone in a Blink is the sequel to Goan Chase: Take Three Mysteries, but works as a standalone novel since the connection is in terms of the lead characters and not the story itself. Best friends Ayesha, Nirvaan and Jai are in their fifteenth year and are going through the pangs of adolescence. A series of thefts take place in the upmarket neighbourhood of Ayesha’s residence and inexplicably, someone seems to be intent on harming her physically as well as mentally. Add to it the difficulties she has with her studies and some matters of the heart, Ayesha is sinking fast. A few incidents even threaten her friendship with Nirvaan and Jai. Whether she will be able to redeem herself and her friendship is what follows in this nice Young Adult novel. Compared to the first novel in the series, this one is longer in size and deeper in terms of characterisation. The plot too is more complex, and the execution thrilling. The troubles that all teenagers face have been dealt with in a sensitive way, making the characters realistic. There are nice messages for the young readers too. On the downside, the story is more focussed towards Ayesha, with her friends not being in action much. I would have liked to see the trio work together in solving a mystery rather than have Ayesha struggle alone for the most part of the story. Also, the actual mystery and the solving of it could have been more developed. The rushed climax is not as convincing as the rest of the book, which is a big let-down. With Gone in a Blink, the author has created a mystery that, with its relatable characters and the fast-paced narration, would appeal to young readers a lot and I would rate it 3.5 out of 5 stars, rounded up to 4.
Book: Gone in a blink Author: Richa s Review: The book is a mystery thriller where a robbery which takes place in our protagonist neighbourhood engulfs her into a life threatening chase. The plot gets better with every passing chapter. Writing of scenes is engaging and flows quite smoothly. I loved the friendship between the lead characters I loved the fact that despite being part 2 I could read this book without having to read the first part. Author keeps the mystery till the end which was a bonus point. If you loved reading Nancy drew as a child this one is for you. 4/5
Gone in a Blink is a mystery novel of a string of robberies which shook one of poshest localities of Delhi/NCR. Though the book is second in a series, but the best thing is that you would never feel the second book is connected/in continuation to the first one. In the second book, not only the characters of the story (Ayesha, Jai and Nirvaan) have grown into youngblood but also the writer has matured her writing skills.
The book starts with a theft in the posh locality of Delhi/NCR, where a set of expensive Antique collections are stolen from the neighborhood of our lead character- Ayesha. The robbery is followed by a couple more in the same locality, leaving the Police clueless. It seems as if somebody robs the residents of Block E, Cedar Villas and tries to frame them for it as well. After each theft, Ayesha notices something suspicious but fails to connect the dots. She soon finds herself in a life threatening situation and struggles to unravel the mystery.
The book is a fast paced with mystery building up till the end. While reading the novel, you would feel like reading the Nancy Drew/Famous Five books. Ayesha's state of mind, her teenager problems, her fights with her close friends are very similar to that of Nancy Drew's. You would enjoy the book and if you are a teenager, you would definitely co-relate. The only let down I felt in the book was the author's style of writing. While writing a paragraph, the writer has used She/He to narrate someone's narration, leaving the reader to speculate which character is the writer referring to. It is sometime annoying as it slows down the reading flow. Apart from it, I enjoyed reading the book thoroughly.

🌈 It's a great read, I thoroughly enjoyed it. 🌈 It brought back memories of my School days.. 🌈 I loved her style of writing & sense of timing. 🌈Even though an adventure series, it takes on various topics.. slightly touches them..like..how a sibling considers herself a dark horse, an ugly ducking..or..the effects of childhood insecurities on the psychology..years after even when he is an adult.. childhood friendships..& more. 🌈 It's a must read for a fan of mystery adventure books!
P.S. We can read this book w/out reading the 1st part & can understand & enjoy it as a standalone too.

The blurb itself is eerily disturbing and frightening. Its the first book i'm reading of her and I literally got the feeling that I'm reading some Agatha Christie or Nancy Drew book. In other news, I haven't read the prequel part yet. But, it doesn't make a difference. I really love reading the book. Richa has done a fabulous work in writing this!
Review:
The story is about a girl named Ayesha. A robbery takes place in her neighborhood and engulfs her into a life threatening chase. This incident changes the story completely and excites the climax and her friends Jai and Nirvaan and sub characters represents the story in really good manner. All the characters are so well developed and defined. Further story cant be told here because 'Spoiler Alert'! ;)
What I liked the most is friendship between the lead characters. Plot gets better with every passing chapter. Writing style is in amazing flow and easily understandable which got me hooked till the end. Specially, Ayesha's character was mind numbing. Her feelings, thoughts can be felt in real while reading, her scene of eyewitnessing a crime was damn well written.
As this book was a second part, I regret that i did found this series earlier. Would definitely read first part and recommend to all mystery lovers, you are missing a good book in your life.
Gone in a Blink By – Richa Sambhy Mediratta Format – Kindle Edition/ Paperback available too Print Length – 245 Pages My Ratings – 4.7/5 Gone in a Blink by Richa Sambhy Mediratta is the book 2 of Take Three Mysteries Series. Story revolves around a 15 years-old girl named Ayesha. She was a witness of a robbery held in her neighbourhood. Ayesha was bold enough to face the Police and tell everything. But the thing she haven’t had a thought about was that now she had put her life in danger. The thief was brave as well as clever enough that he was not caught also after robbing in broad-day light. Ayesha was frightened as things were not going right with her, though she had her friends Jai and Nirvaan by her side. Now without revealing much about the plot I would just ask you all to go and grab yours copy of this Amazing book and find what happens further. Starting with the Title, it is completely different and was eye-catchy to me. Title and the Book Cover are compatible with each other. Book Cover portrays a running girl, Ayesha which makes it relevant to the storyline. After reading this book now I’m so impressed by the Author’s Writing style that now I will surely read the book 1 of the series. Narration was smooth and the book follows a normal pace. Characters are beautifully portrayed and Book is a perfect blend of thriller, mystery and crime and this is enough to keep one intrigued. Wow, what a thriller novel. Just loved reading it and I actually enjoyed reading it. Must say, I was in the suspense all the time, wanting to know what’s going to happen next. I couldn’t keep the book down before completing it. A book which will be a good read for kids aged 10+. I’m 21 and I loved reading and knowing the story and no worries, I’m not spoiling it for you.
The main character is Ayesha, who is a teenage girl. A robbery happened in her neighborhood. The story starts when Ayesha and two of her friends, Jai and Nirvaan. One of the best things about this book was also their friendship. This is the true friendship, where two of them didn’t even think of leaving Ayesha’s side when she needed her the most. When Ayesha was doing a good work by helping the cops, but she forgot that it can invite a lot of troubles for her. She tried to help them solve the case of the robbery. But she herself fell into a lot of problems. But thank God, her friends were there with her in all the ups and downs. She could face all the problems with and them and yes, they helped her a lot to come out of all of it. Now, you might be thinking, if she was helping the cops, how did she invite troubles to her own self. To get all the answers popping-up in your mind, go and grab your copy fast.
The writing style of author is so clear and understandable. The book is not a disappointment at all. Gone in a Blink is the second part in the series, where the first one in the series is “Goan Chase”. I’d like to read that as well soon. The book impressed me a lot. I didn’t expect the thriller to be unpredictable at this level.
" The thief is unstoppable. It seems to me that he’s invisible! How can he keep robbing in broad daylight, and still not leave a clue? " I wonder, when I was reading this story, I felt I am going through a book of famous writer Agatha Christie. Author, Richa Sambhy Mediratta knows how to attract and engage her readers by words . Her imagination power and effort for this book is Undoudtedly appreciating. I am genuinely awestrucked, and I must say this book is really more than my expectation.
CHARCATERS: Story was started into a cozy room with a cute fight between Ayesha, Nirvaan and jai. Then a incident happens, which geared up my excitement for the consequence. After that multiple sub characters are represented in the story, each & every Character is well defined and developed. Plot is a mixture of Thriller, mystery and crime. Which is a mindblowing combination for sure.
Writing style is the extra zest of this story. Its really easy and understandable which never interrupted my reading mood. Narration is interesting and manageable. Sometimes "hindi" was used to make the story vibrant. The feelings of Ayesha as a eyewitness of a crime ,impressed me a lot. Those 23 chapters didnt allow my eyes to blink till it's last ever fullstop.
As "Gone in a Blink" is a second part of (Take Three Mysteries) , but till I havent read the first part & I have regret for that. I am now dying for reading the first part. Cover and Title is attracting. A highly recommended book for every thriller and nonfiction lovers.

𝑴𝒚 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘: Gone in a Blink is the first book that I have read by the author Richa Sambhy Mediratta. It is the second book in the "Take Three Mysteries" trilogy. Protagonist of the story is a fifteen years old teenager girl Ayesha. Story starts when Ayesha has called her two best friends Jai and Nirvaan to her place to select the dress she wants to wear at the party.
At their neighbor's villa, a birthday party was going on. Ayesha noticed a woman in pink outside the villa with a gun but she didn't told about it to anyone. Later, police reached Ayesha's house to do the investigation as her neighbor Mehta's has been robbed during the party. Ayesha shared the details of whatever she has witnessed on Saturday during the party. Has she landed herself in trouble? Read the story and find out yourself.
Writing style of the author is nice. Language of the book is simple and beginners will also be able to enjoy this story. Plot of the story is unique and pace is also fine. I didn't felt bored while reading this book. Cover photo is nice. Ayesha's character has been well penned down by Richa.

COVER- Cover of the book is good yet I could have been better.
I cherished the way that in spite of being section 2 I could peruse this book without reading the initial part.
Author keeps the mystery till the end which is great.
The story is about an Ayesha child. In her neighborhood, a robbery takes place and encloses her in a life-threatening chase. This incident completely transforms the plot and excites the climax and Jai and Nirvaan's friends and sub characters are very good representations of the story. All characters have been created and described so well.

"As you said, I am rich, single wuman. Men do not like that. They do not like that because they want to keep wuman under thumb."
A Take Three Mysteries by Richa Sambhy Mediratta, it took me back to my Enid Blyton days. Perfect for tweens, Gone in a Blink is a book I'd recommend to every kid I know.
I've always enjoyed Nancy Drew mysteries, Secret Sevens, Famous Fives and this fits in perfectly there. And the author being an Indian is cherry on the icing ♥️
The language is lucid and the oace is perfect. Ayesha, the protagonist, is wonderfully written. She's not perfect, she has her issues like every little teen and she gets through them one at a time.
The mystery itself is well written. The plot is great, makes a kid think. I loved how the author laced it with emotions and dived deep into backgrounds of every side character.
I'd happily recommend it to all the tweens out there!

Book: "Gone in a Blink" Author:Richa Sambhy Mediratta Rating: 4/5
As a huge fan of thriller myself,I enjoyed reading "Gone in a Blink" a lot. Fans of Agatha, here's a book for ya!
Ayesha is a fifteen year old . She thinks that someone is after her. It all started when a robbery happened next door to Ayesha. She saw something that day and presented herself as a witness to the police. There began the hunt.
The author succeeded in creating a very convincing and thrilling ambience. The language was precise and apt for the circumstances. I adored the way Ayesha's character was developed.
This book presented me with a wonderful reading experience. I hope you have the same! Happy Reading!!
This is a whodunit book and in league with some all time greats. Even though the book was targetted at young readers, it has enough mysteries to confound even adults (think Harry Potter). The best part is that I did not need to read the first book as it is a completely independent story. It tells the story of a robbery and how it engulfs an entire neighborhood. The plot is simple to understand but it thickens with every chapter. Read it if you like mysteries and love taking a crack at whodunit!
