Russell thought that retiring from the mission field to a small town in the Midwest would mean that his life would slow down. Maybe he'd have a chance to write that book. But every town has it's secrets, and Russell was just the man to uncover the mysteries. Whatever Russell had imagined, God had a surprising plan for the Ferndale Assignment.
This is a fantastic book. It just rolls along on its own. Having been a missionary in Turkey I related quite well to Russell and his life. I highly recommend it. It is a good afternoon read.
