I loved this gorgeous book which is basically a collection of vignettes about dogs and their people. It made me laugh, it made me cry and it made me feel like I understand my dog a little bit better. It has also inspired me to check out our local sheep dog trials in March! Can't wait!!!

Supremely boring. I couldn’t make myself get even a quarter of the way through. The author basically wrote a super long book about his friends, who all seem nice but who are hardly book-worthy. I was hoping for a light-hearted funny dog book.

Set in Wellington but if you are a dog walker or lover then I would be surprised if you didn't love this. Mike White is a great writer and has an infinity with dogs and dog lovers.

This made me laugh and cry a lot as a dog mom. Dogs may have varying personalities but they all make our lives more wonderful and beautiful; and this book gives emphasis to that. The illustrations were also so cute and appropriately represent the tone of the book.
