“We’re polar opposites. He’s Fall and I’m Summer.”
This was a cute seasonal read that hit the spot when I was looking for a quickie :) The story delivers on the promise the blurb made and the cover was perfect for this story. It was insta-love with a sexy dominant alpha and a sassy school teacher who at first glance are too different for each other but the chemistry brewing between them proves too strong to resist.
Jenni is teaching in small town Autumn Creek only until her dream job in a coastal town becomes available. She’s open to love but is too set in her ways that she’s not holding out for Mr. Right. Phillip instantly attracts her but she doesn’t think she’ll be here long enough to worry about their lack of a future. But Phillip is different, Mr. Wrong feels more right with every day that passes and Jenni starts to appreciate their differences and starts falling hard.
For a short novella, both characters were fleshed out and both were really likable (for the most part) – Jenni did come off a bit too OTT with her dislike of everything Fall/Autumn but after meeting Phillip she definitely softened. My only other gripe was the ending – the principal drama felt a bit too cookie cutter and I didn’t like that Phillip had to throw his weight around to resolve the issue. I think I would have rated this one 4 stars if instead the principal got put in her place by Jenni and her own good character rather than having her boyfriend swoop in and secure her position. Made me wonder if this would be a routine for both of them to do in the future and it left a bad taste in my mouth.
Otherwise this was a solid read, this author has a talent for giving you just the right amount of heat, romance and humor to keep you coming back for more.

This was a delightful, quick, easy read about Jenni Pruitt. New to Autumn Creek, she's not the small-town status quo kind of girl. She loves warm weather, sandy beaches and has tattoos but she took the teaching job when she wanted a fresh start. And then there's Phillip Boone. Son of one of the town founders, spent time away at college and in the Army, returned home to take over the farm for his aunt and uncle so they can retire. Oh, and he loves all things when it comes to Autumn, including the pumpkins they grown in abundance. This is an instant attraction, a small town filled with some good people with the same kind of values and some who are not. The details of the story are just what is needed on one of those cool days when you want to curl up with a book and get the warm feels from all the buildup.

When Jenni’s principal is cruel to her, will she decide to leave or stay with Phillip. Quick read with great chemistry and loads of steam. I liked it.

This novella tried, it really did! Our MMC was a fun golden retriever and our FMC was a black cat, types of characters I love. We had insta love which was fine… it just didn’t squeal truly to 4 stars. The biggest issue? The audiobook was not a real narrator? It was a computer voice or something? I’m not sure but it really took me out. It was definitely a detriment to the story.

I mean... it was very short and very fast and I wanted a bit more, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I liked both of them, and I could relate to Jenni as I'm a teacher too. 🤭

Jenni is a school teacher who has been employed in a country town Autumn Creek, that loves fall and winter seasons. Jenni loves summer and spring seasons and beaches and palm trees. Her school principal doesn't like her at all and finds ways to put Jenni down. They go to a pumpkin farm where Jenni meets Phillip who is a returned serviceman who grew up in Autumn Creek, he is instantly attracted to Jenni.
Phillip meets up with Jenni outside the produce store and asks her to meet him for a coffee and they discuss things and why he likes Jenni and he wants to take her on a date, Jenni agrees and they spend the night together after their date and the following day at his aunts and uncles farm. The following day the principal and Jenni have an altercation and Jenni's job is threatened.
A board meeting is held where Jenni plans to resign from her job. The town people interrupt the board meeting and instead of Jenni leaving, Phillip tells the town that if Jenni is to leave, then he will sell up the farm and will be leaving with the woman he loves. The principal is sacked and Jenni is offered the role as principal and Phillip and Jenni have their happily ever after with lots of spice in their future.

Jenni teacher kindergarten, and she hates autumn. She's surprised one day at work when the principal has planned a field trip to Boone's Farm for the autumn festivities. Phillip is great eye candy, the nephew of Mr. & Mrs. Boone, and he's being groomed to take over the farm when they retire. And he loves autumn. Complete opposites - she's summer, he's fall. There are immediate sparks, and despite their differences, they both think about him spanking her. Loved this short book - such chemistry between these two. When he stands up for her, she begins to think a little differently about autumn. And him.

Really short but so satisfying. What happens when a girl who loves summer falls for a man who loves autumn and lives in a town that loves autumn? Read this story and find out!
I loved that Phillip really understood and cares for Jenni and stands up for her when narrow little minds turn on her. My only grumble is that the story ends a little abruptly. I love when an author gives a short little epilogue just to let us know what happened with the couple.
I have read MANY of her books, but the first one I read is still my favorite (Big Beautiful Little).

Loved this book!

She is an independent rebel who loves all things summer and he is an old fashioned traditional guy who loves all things fall. Can two total opposites get along? A sexy fast paced read about a school teacher and a farmer that are instantly attracted to each other but the certain towns folk are not happy having the tattooed school teacher around and will stop at nothing to get her out of town.

Phillip and Jenni seem like complete opposites, one wants to settle down, the other is afraid to do so. One loves fall and the other prefers summer. However, they both find something that they need within each other. In the end, Jenni is able to get past her feelings about settling down in a small town, but you'll need to read the book to see how she got to that point!

Another short story but a really good one. Jenni is a school teacher that isn’t too fond of the autumn season. She is a summer girl but when she meets Phillip Boone things change. Phillip is autumn and warmth. He makes her feel things but someone wants to put an end to all that. I have to say, I did tear up and cry a bit for Jenni. She was treated like crap by that evil person. Phillip is hot and tempting. Thank goodness for a good man that has the strength for them both.

Warm and comforting with a little bit of spicy heat
Pumpkin Spice Daddy is an enjoyable short story that has a little bit of spicy heat to it that will warm you up. Even though this is a novella it has a nice story-line and interesting characters that are likeable in Jenni and Philip and also in the supporting characters.

This is a good story. Not crazy long, but good. A free thinking teacher with kinky unrealized tendencies moves to a small town. Maybe too small for her. When she meets a man who has seen the world and is ready to live as a small town farmer, she is torn. Can she open up and let this strong man be her daddy? Let him discipline and love her when needed? Hand, strap.

This was such a fun, spicy, and cozy fall novella! I loved the chemistry between Phillip and Jenni, and Phillip’s possessive, protective Daddy energy definitely made this one memorable. The short chapters made it an easy and quick read and I really enjoyed this one from beginning to end!
I definitely recommend this one if you’re looking for a quick, spicy fall romance!

Enjoyed this short story. It is a quick read, well written and entertaining. Jenni moves to Autumn Creek as a school teacher and learns the meaning of being part of a small town but a lot happens before this happens. The biggest factor to this realization is Phillip and the love she has for him after acknowledging that she fells safe when he is in Daddy mode.
