I’m doing what's best for the pack, even if that means an arranged mating. Tonight though, I'm ignoring duties and telling fate to screw itself. You can find me hiding behind a costume tonight at a masquerade party. Halloween is the season I can pretend to be anyone but myself. The thing is, I never thought I’d actually meet someone. He has me panting for more, but he also makes me question my future. How do I tell my father, the alpha, that I've met my mate and I can't be the link to the mountain pack. Behind the mask he’s the mate I’ve dreamed about. When the morning comes, can I walk away?
Michelle writes alongside keeping her two tiny children, three dogs, three chickens, and husband alive. Slowly as her sanity teeters on the edge, she writes novels to escape every day.
Currently, she dreams up new worlds in Denver, Colorado, although she still embraces her roots from Chicago. Writing is a part of her, just as coffee and chocolate are her life-blood. In a world that is far too serious for its own good, she writes an escape.
What an adorably charming short story. The author managed to put such an intense, emotional story in just a few short chapters. I love the best friend, the siblings and the way this couple burns up the costumes. The story was a perfect ramp up to the most wonderful HEA. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
This is only a fairly shortish story but it manages to cram a lot into those pages.
Ellen knows that her pack needs her to take part in an arranged marriage that way they will be aligned with a much stronger pack in the mountain pack but she intends to have one mast fling So disguise ion her Halloween costume she decides that this night will be her fling Then she meets him the man that makes her melt her mate. West has come down from the mountain to attend his mating ceremony he really doesn't want to go ahead with this arrangement but as been unable to find his fated mate but at least he can attend the Halloween masquerade ball and get one last night of freedom. Could these two actually be fated to be mates You will have to read to see

Twixt and twined and stretched to unbelievable limits until you feel everything the characters feel. Mate Not Needed: A fated Mates Story is the prequel to the new Space Dragons Seek Mates series. I love that the author packed so many emotions in this novella. There is drama, angst, guilt, family issues, joy, and passion. I cannot wait for the next book in this promising series.
The story is so cute, I couldn’t help but laugh at the story. It seems Fate has been playing with Ellen and West. They were trying to cheat fate but it looks like they cheated with their fated instead.

This book didn't really do it for me.
It was clear right from the start what was going to happen, I now that is the case with most books of this genre but when reading this one I just kept waiting to see when and how long they would take to work out they were engaged, no mystery in this one.
They could have worked it out so much quicker If they had just exchanged names.
I usually love a book that is written from both points of view but I think this one would have been more enjoyable If it was from just one, so you didn't know who the intended mate was and you had to guess out of the people at the party . It also could have been better If there were more interactions or opportunities with other characters instead of the couple only talking to each other at the party. Or if you are going to write from both perspectives really take the no name thing all the way don't even give the main characters names it is a masquerade have multiple people in the same costume or all male dress in one costume and all female in another make it really hard to identify people.
I didn't really like the way that mates worked in this book, was just a little over the top for me, and If there is that one perfect mate out there for each person why would anyone's family arrange a mate with some random person and why would anyone except a random when they could find their mate?
This book was rushed and would have been better if it was longer with some more details added
Neither West nor Ellen, the male and female wolf shifter leads, are pleased with their parents arranging a match for them. When they have a last hoorah, they hook up with each other, not knowing who the other is. When they realise their hook up is their fated mate, they wonder how they can breads the match...
This short story is dual POV, well written and edited, and very funny and steamy. It’s the first story I’ve read by this author but won’t be the last. I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
This author did an amazing job with this book. The world she created made me feel like I was there watching everything as it happened. The storyline was intriguing and well written. The characters were well developed with great chemistry and interactions. She gave them their personalities which made their emotions shine through and be felt. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I love this book! It is full of sass, drama, and intrigue. Fast pace, well written, emotionally deep, funny, and steamy with a well thought out and enjoyable story-line. The characters are likeable and fated mates; the chemistry between them is instant and off the! Looking forward to reading the next book. Definitely recommended!

Super predictable, with so many continuity mistakes... One paragraph, she's unbuttoned his shirt, and he tore it off, two paragraphs later, he's ripping said shirt off (damned thing must have been magical, or something, it refused to go), buttons flying around. Small things like that. Needed another round of editing. Also, other than the fact it takes place in the same town, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the series it's supposed to be a prequel to.
Nice, fast, sexy story. Maybe too much of God. I wouldn't mind getting more of West there. But it was fun and I will certainly read other books by this author.
Pěkný, rychlý, sexy příběh. Možná až příliš slova Bože. Nevadilo by mi tam mít více z Westa. Ale byla to legrace a určitě si přečtu i další knihy této autorky.
Book one in the Space Dragons Seek Mates series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Dragon shifter Kal and witch Maddie's story, there is suspense, drama, danger, magic, twists, turns, and romance. I want to read the next book. She has agreed to a mating but her heart is not in it. She goes to the masked ball pretending she was someone else when she meets him. She knows he is her mate but can she tell her father she has found him. How would her father take it? What about the groom? Can she just run away? See what is going to happen

This was all over the place for me. It was almost like they were throwing ideas, tropes and cliches at the story to see what would stick. And then the ex at the end? That whole chapter made no sense. Ends on a cliffhanger, but I don't care what happens to anyone in this book. The funniest part was turning him into a chicken.
A quick story with plenty of humor and hotness. She’s supposed to mate with a male she’s never met. He’s traveled to her home and is being forced to mate a female he has never met. One party may end any negotiations when fate likes to have her fun.
Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.
