"Because love wins everytime."
description

Kept from You is the fourth book in the Tear Asunder Series. Although you can read it as a stand-alone, I highly recommend you read the entire series from the beginning. The characters are deeply rooted in their relationships with each other, and the story arc is carefully constructed to overlap over the whole series. With each book in the series, I have fallen more in love with these characters and the world in which they dwell. To finally experience Killian Kane "aka Kite" was beyond perfection.

description
"Sexy. Flushed. Beautiful. Rare. That is what she was."
Savvy is beautiful inside and out. A talented dancer she has had to overcome a great loss. Living in her broken little world, she meets Killian. Although he seems hard and cold, she discovers a kindness in him. A spark is set, and although the circumstances are less than ideal, Killian and Savvy form a bond. When disaster strikes and they are torn apart. Both believe they will never see each other again.

description
"Open your legs for me, Savy. I'm going to fuck that pussy until I hear you scream my name again."
Years later, Killian is thriving as the drummer for the hit band Tear Asunder. He never forgot Savvy and is shocked when she shows up backstage after one of his concerts. Savvy is looking for help from Killian, and although he would do anything for her, the help she needs is out of the question! As Killian and Savvy reconnect, the old flame ignites, and the two are brought together again. However, Killian is quite broken and must allow himself to be loved before they can move forward together. As the demons of their past threaten their blossoming romance, Savvy and Killian must cling to one another and find a way to battle the darkness together.

description

Told in dual POV, Kept from You is sexy, tender, raw, and beautifully broken. The characters are complex, and their life experiences make their stories that much more beautiful. The transformation that Killian makes throughout is heartbreaking, and yet, Savvy offers Killian the healing that he needs to find peace. The secondary characters continue to shape and mold the story with their relationships and circumstances. Loyalty and unwavering love continue to drive the action in this series, and each and every piece of the plot is weaved together with absolute perfection. The passion that exists between Killian and Savvy is fiery and thoroughly explored and the action is intense as the plot continues to unfold.

description

Overall, Kept from You is an absolute must read. The complex characters, non-stop action, tender relationships, and fiery passion make this second chance romance another blockbuster hit from Nashoda Rose! I simply adore this series! Each and every character is diverse, and yet, together they are complete. When it comes to the Tear Asunder Series, I will simply never get enough!

***4,5 "Orchid" stars***

God, I was waiting such a long time for Killian's story!!!
It's a common secret that I'm a huge fan of Nashoda Rose's books and especially "Tear Asunder" series are my favorite!!!!

We had already witness the bittersweet stories of the rest members of the "Tear Asunder" band and this story is for Kite, the drumer, a very quite and easygoing guy!!!
But is he truly as he appears to be???

One thing that i adore in this series is how connected these guys are between them... They are really a family!!!
But enough with that!!! This is a story about second chances...

This is Killian and Savvy's story...

“Do you ever not get what you want, Killian?”
“Yes, for eleven years.”

Eleven years ago...
Killian was an angry teenager who was always in trouble and he was getting involved himself in many fightings on purpose... Everyone was afraid of him...

Savvy was afraid of him too, but at the same time, she was drown toward him... especially when his eyes were focusing intensely upon her...
Their paths collided and they only shared a kiss that would stay with them forever...

And then, their ways parted but not before Killian warn Savvy that if she ever come near him again, he would never let her go.

“I’m glad you’re leaving town.”
“Why?”
“Because if you come near me again, next time I won’t let you go.”

Present day...
Savvy is in a bad place... She lost her boyfriend, her job and her reputation is destroyed by false rumors. She needs desperately a job and the only person that she thinks can help him is Killian.

So after eleven years and with a crazy plan, she is coming close to Killian for once again...
But will he help her???

"I felt like that rabbit quivering in the hole as the wolf approached. The difference was, there was a part of me that wanted to get caught."

Killian is now a famous rock star, drumer of the Tear Asunder and he is no longer the angry teenager that he used to be. Or the anger is still there but he knows how to kept it at bay???

When Savvy is appearing in front of him for once again, he is losing his mind...
After all, he had warned her what will happen if she ever come near to him... even though that the time is very wrong with all the problems that he is having.

Will he be able to stay away from her???

"I stayed away from you, so you wouldn't be ruined by me. I couldn't chance you getting hurt when you were made up of all the goodness I'd lost."

As you can understand, between Savvy and Killian there is pending sexual tension...
He is pushing her and she is pushing back and that drives Killian mad....

And then a crazy proposition is coming and everything are starting to change...
Will their love help win Killian's demons??? Or the things will be worse than before???

“You were always meant to be mine, Savvy.” {Killian}

"You're constantly fighting who you are by trying to control everything else. Fight for me, damn it. Stop fighting everything else and fight for me. For us." {Savvy}

I liked Killian and Savvy as a couple...
They were intense, raw and perfect...

Savvy had a great personality and she was very strong and feisty... She had a fucked up life, but she managed to turned it around... She was a dancer and she just wanted a chance to prove herself!!!
She had a thing for Killian since high school but she knew that this infatuation with him could destroy her heart forever....

Killian had many demons to fight, demons that he couldn't escape from even if he tried... He was in a good place in his life, but his mind and soul was carrying too much weight....
He never forget Savvy and he knew that if he ever sees her again, he could not stay away from her...

I also liked very much the whole thing with the orchid... God, i loved it!!!

"He was worth the risk. The hidden. The complicated. The man who had demons behind the captivating green eyes, but within the depths also lived a man who cared. Who protected. Who made my heart skip a beat and my breath stop." {Savvy}

“I may have kept myself from you, but you were always with me, Savvy.” {Killian}

For once again, we saw our loving couples from the previous books and i enjoyed it very much!!!

And i was so happy when i saw that Mrs Rose is prepering Trevor's story!!! He was such and intriguing character....
Also, I'm having a request... Please, give us Matt's story too!!!

Kept from You is Killian Kane's, aka Kite's, story and follows him as a girl from his past comes back into his life. He and Savvy went to High School together for a very short time before she left, and in that time he watched her, wanted her, and warned her to stay away from him right after kissing her. But now it's eleven years later and she's desperate enough for a job to not heed his warning.

Nashoda Rose's writing continues to blow me away and I don't think I will ever get enough of her stories. This is just yet another book from her that I went into expecting something great and that's exactly what I got. Killian was an amazing character and I really enjoyed getting a small part of his past in the beginning and getting to see how different he was then. When he was younger he had a lot of anger and it's not something we've seen from in in this series so it was really intriguing to experience that side of him.

In the present he still thinks Savvy needs to stay away from him, but he's also unable to get her out of his mind after she shows up in his life again. I loved his possessiveness and how he never faltered in his need for her. It may have been eleven years since he last saw her but he never forgot the girl he wanted more than any other. His character was very enjoyable to read about and I though he was sexy as hell. It was amazing to see him caring for more than one night stands and claiming Savvy as his.

Savvy was perfect for the tough and quiet Killian, in my opinion. Where he was hardened to life and always saw the worst in people, she was bright and always thought people had at least some good in them. Together they were a great mix of personalities and also had amazing sexual chemistry. I loved the scenes with them together and I will be re-reading this book many times for that alone.

Bottom line, please please please read this book. Even if you haven't read the rest of the books I still beg you to pick this one up since it can be read as a standalone. Though, I love the other characters just as much as I loved Killian and Savvy so I hope you'll read those books too.

I am seriously in love with this series and I figured I would do a re-read of this one in lieu of "Irish Crown" that is coming out soon....and Deaglan made me think of Kite fcc37b1805a49c13a3f7d3d50b64ed47

This is the fourth book in the series and I think it could be read as a stand-alone. Why anyone would actually want to do that, is beyond me though, because all the books in this series are awesome. So my advice...start at the beginning ;)

17511206.gif (495×250)

Kite (Killian) is the drummer for the famous band "Tear Asunder". In the previous books, he always came across as kind of a badass, who was into kinky sex like BDSM. Things aren't always as they seem though....

3c1b55429f03897aba19c45200d8a656.jpg (500×500):

This book starts with Kite and Savvy still in high school getting to know each other. They both have a hard time growing up. Kite especially is very angry and he has a right to be. He might be a bad boy with a bad boy attitude, but he tries to use his anger for good. That means fighting bullies and drug suppliers. Still...everyone knows not to mess with Kite. Savvy (15) is the kind of person that sees the good inside everyone, expecially in bad boy Kite. She might be a bit scared, but she can't help but feel drawn to him.

c2daf78e714491322ab9c0154d1f37e0.jpg (481×721):

These two form a strong bond, no matter how short the time they spend together is. A bond that is sealed with a kiss, when circumstances force them to say goodbye

Fast forward 11 years and they come face to face once again, this time because Savvy has run out of options and she needs a favor...

They never got over that magical kiss and this time, Kite won't let her go...

I don't want to go into the plot any deeper than this. Of course, there is much much more, but that would spoiler the story and like all the books in this series....this one should be read without spoilers. I will tell you, however, that Kite is quite the dirty talker. I had to fan myself more than once ;)

tumblr_mrjmqwppzx1qkzl7oo1_r1_250.gif (250×141)

I really enjoyed Kite and Savvy's story. She was so sweet and forgiving, while he was also so sweet, yet still angry. I think they were the perfect Ying and Yang. I am not gonna lie though. Haven and Crisis from "Shattered by You" (book 3)  are still my absolute favorite couple in this series. I would also suggest everyone to read the "Unyielding" series, which is a spin-off of this series !! Can't wait for the next book in this series....which will be Trevor's !!!

and I got an ARC!!!!

THANK. YOU. NASH.

Damn, I always thought drums are the best instrument ever...they are the backbone of every melody...they set the pace, the tact, the initiation of every note out there...and therefore, the drummers are people of control and leadership even if they sit in the back...

Kite, man... I can't wait to set my pace with you...

4 "love wins every time" stars

Kept from you (Tear Asunder #4) is an emotional story that I did not expect to be in such a way while I was waiting for Nashoda Rose to finish it. I was anticipating a hardass edgy rough man BUT I was actually swept by Killian Kane aka Kite on a totally different level.

We meet Killian and Savannah/Savvy in highschool as their paths couldn't be more different at first and then unexpectedly intertwined in the ways none of them anticipated…especially considering the depth of the connection neither of them weren't aware of, for a long time.

Killian Kane was an intimidating badass, sort of a dark protector as Savvy visualised him from afar. He was scary and dominating even at the age of 16 when he earned the nickname „Kite“.
…Kite also meant „to prey on others.“ And Killian lived up to that nickname.

But that was his way of dealing with the inner boiling anger, guilt from the tragedy he experienced and the constant mental abuse from his father…it was Killian's way of coping…it was a role of controling his outbursts and rage, and saying away from others, contact or feelings…

Savannah/Savvy was a quiet, timid girl who loved to dance, she lived for it, breathed it, it brought her the light and positivity even when her domestic status was low and dark, with a junkie of a mother, living in a trailer and poverty. Her inner spirit, sparkling need to help others first and to see the „bits of good“ in everyone shone through her eyes and posture…and she wasn't aware that she already caught his eye…from afar.
…her soothing quiet eased the anger in me.

But then the tragic event, sends Savvy into a foster system and the last parting contact from Killian is a kiss that will haunt them both further on, and an orchid in a pink cracked pot, and she would always think of what could have happened…or would she ever see him again…

And then 11 years later, Savvy is in need of work, after her ex destroyed her reputation with malicious rumors, she collects the courage to seek Killian out and ask him for a favor to help her get a job as a dancer in a nightclub owned by his friend (not knowing Killian is a silent partner/owner). Their encounter is even more intense than when they last saw each other, and now that Killian got the second chance, he won't risk it…again...and let her go...
“I stayed away from you, so you wouldn't be ruined by me. I couldn't chance you getting hurt when you were made up of all the goodness I'd lost.“

But the process of letting Savvy in, is long and harder than it seemed at first…even though they both feel it, the intensity, the need, the desire, the pulsating connection of something more…and yet he's still holding back…
You're constantly fighting who you are by trying to control everything else. Fight fo me, damn it. Stop fighting everything else and fight for me. For us.

And Savvy will have to push him further to see that all she ever wanted was right here, with him, beside him…even when neither of them knew it or could have acknowledged it…
“What I need is you. Just you and whatever comes with you. The hurt. The pain. The anger. The sweet and the caring. All of you.

 photo Collage1_zps7mkfwyez.jpg

The hidden. The complicated. The man who had demons behind the captivating green eyes, but within the depths also lived a man who cared. Who protected. Who made my heart skip a beat and my breath stop.

And when all seemed so far away and out of reach cause of deep rooted fear and doubts…the deep bond layered with hope and light fought their way through to bring them back to each other
“Because love wins every time, Kite.“

Nashoda Rose is one of the few authors that writes emotional intensity and palpable carnal passion like she owns some magic touch. She gets me every time, with the words that are somehow more than just words majestically set in the right place and order in a sentence. Her words connect into a motion and you just feel it through you and in you. It works every single time for me, and this time is no exception.

The story of one man's struggle to overcome deeply rooted guilt through out controlling of piled up anger caused by the notion of helplessness and tragic loss, who was raised with the mental abuse of feeling unworthy of love, only to be seen through this hardened armour by the „right“ person who will set him free - took me by surprise, as I stated before. And even though I did expect a different kind of emotional intensity I was still enamoured with Killian and Savvy's story.

I absolutely luvd this.

I ve been dying for this book for so long. So I had to start it straight away. I can never really read a book in a day unless it a short one. But this book had me so sacked in I couldn't put it down I read it in a day. From the first page I just knew I'd luv it. Killian/Kite is a great character and I was dying to know his story. Like the rest of the boy in Tear Asunder he as been through a crappy up bringing . It's not that his family didn't have money or great things they did. It's was his father that was the problem. His father was just so horrible to him he never gave Killian a break. Killian grow to live with this but when things got worst he had to turn his anger to something else. In high school he was well known for not taking crap and fighting but no one knew his story cause he didn't let anyone in. Until Savannah/Savvy came into his life . The only thing is he would get close to her cause he didn't want anything bad to happen to her.

Savvy is a great girl seeing good in everyone. She luvs to dance and helping people she is just and all around great person. The only person that scares her in Killian Kane. She as seen and heard a lot about him she can see it in his eye that he as a lot of anger about him but she also can see something else in him. She catch him staring at her but doesn't understand why she sees herself as a plain girl but her bright red hair makes her stand out. Savvy things Killian is very attractive and when she gets talking to him the spark that's there shocks her and him.

This story is just brilliant i luvd how things work out for these two. I didn't think the story would go the way it did so that was a nice surprise. My heart went out to both characters both dealing with family stuff and trying to be better people. Killian had come so far from the last time he saw Savvy. But she still didnt know what had happened she could still see the anger there but not as bad. I thought it was great how Sophie came back into his life after so long and the attraction still be strong. There just so cute together. I know it hard to say Kite is cute with him him being so strong tattoos and being a drummer in a rock band be he is. The way he protects the one he luvs is great and I understand it could be a lil over bearing but he as his reasons. The sexually chemistry between these to from the start is hot and once they get started that's it they literary cant stop.

I luvd everything about this book. It wasn't as dark as the other books in the series which I actually liked. It was great to get more of the boys and there girls. I really luv this series so much and I m looking forward to Trevor book. Can't wait to see how that goes. I would also luv more of Mars Savvy BFF there us something there with Matt but I need to know more of. I would highly recommend this book series and author. Everything I ve read from this author as been brilliant looking forward to more.

Different from the rest but still great.

I think it would be hard for authors who write series. On one hand your customers want your trademark storylines, plots and character development but on the other hand, they don't want the same storylines, plots and character development. So what happens when we get to the last few guys from Tear Asunder? Should the women they fall for be broken and beaten? Will they have to fight to the death to get them out of hell? Are we supposed to believe that each of these guys just happens to fall for women who suffer horrible situations?

Well, in Kept from You, Nashoda Rose went for a different kind of heroine. Of course, Savvy had her issues, but in they weren't life or death.

To tell you the truth, I kind of missed the emotional gut punch. Yes, it's still emotional and deals with issues that were hard but I wasn't sobbing like a baby or needing cuddles from hubby in this one. I probably should be thanking the author...she saved me money for buying tissues.

You think you know someone and then you find out that what you thought was happening wasn't happening at all. Kept from You is all about Killian and Savvy.

They met in high school where Killian was a messed up punk of a kid who liked to pick fights with bullies and scare away the baddies.

Savvy was a sweet girl who volunteered at the school first aid office and always tried to find something good in everyone. They were so different yet they felt an immense attraction to each other. Nothing happens between them besides one very impressive kiss that haunts their memories for years.

Time moves on and both of their lives have changed. Killian is in a band and he's finally moved away from the one person in his life he hates the most...his father. He's managed to bury his anger but he never buried the memory of the red haired girl from high school. No woman ever measured up to her, so he stopped trying. Maybe one day she'll drop back into his life...and he might never let her go.

Savvy is down but determined to get back up. Her douchewaffle ex-boyfriend besmirched her name and ruined her work prospects when she caught him cheating with one of their dance students. With very little money and plenty of bills to pay Savvy is getting desperate. She's hoping to call in a favour with an old high school friend. I wonder if Killian, now known as Kite, will even remember her?

Now Killian has Savvy in his clutches, he just has to work out how to keep her.

I think this was the sweetest story that Nashoda Rose has written. I really enjoyed it and was sucked in like I normally am. I just expected the boogie man to be a little scarier, to be honest. I also found that it all tied up too quickly at the end. It was like a thunderstorm one minute and rainbows the next.

All good, I'm still addicted to everything that Nashoda writes. Her stories are sexy, sweet, emotional and entertaining. I will definitely be back for Trevor's story.

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Type: Standalone Book 4 from Tear Asunder series
POV: First Person - Dual
Rating:

Savannah (Savvy) Grady had a passion for dancing. But a wrong choice led her to desperation for a job and a reunion with someone from her past brought up a different kind of desperation.

Killian (Kite) Kane grew up as an angry teenager. He had the need to upheld justice and protected others, including a girl he cared about. Years later he became a famous rock star and the need to protect and claim came back with her return.

Kite really intrigued me in the last book, so I'm very happy when he finally get his own story. It was different from what I expected, but still enjoyable.

He was worth the risk. The hidden. The complicated. The man who had demons behind the captivating green eyes, but within the depths also lived a man who cared. Who protected. Who made my heart skip a beat and my breath stop.

Kite had a broken past. What he endured as a kid was bad and he was still haunted by it. He was detached to protect himself from being hurt. But deep down he cared more than he showed.

I felt like that rabbit quivering in the hole as the wolf approached. The difference was, there was a part of me that wanted to get caught.

Savvy was having hard time with her life. Even after being screwed, she always find goodness with others. As intimidating as Kite was, I like how she wasn't afraid to stand up against him.

I like their story - how they reconnected and made it work. I also like their background. However I was expecting something more. Previous books in the series had more darkness and some suspense elements so that's what I was anticipating. This book was more mellow. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just personally, I'd like to see more complications in the story.

There's a new character in this book that I love. Trevor brought something extra to the story and I just love how he connected with the main characters effortlessly.

“Do you ever not get what you want, Killian?”
“Yes, for eleven years.”

Kept From You is a story of a couple reconnecting a special bond and moving on from their hurtful pasts. It would appeal to fans of second chance romance with lots of sexy times.

Well, well, well, what a lovely surprise this was! The blurb sucked me in and although I haven't read the other books in the series not once did I feel lost, though I am going to read the others after finishing this one. I bloody love me my perfect heroes and Killian is all that and more. Bonus is a really sweet heroine with not a single TSTL move in sight - be still my beating heart.

Loved the writing, loved the pacing, loved the fact that they didn't just fall into bed from the get go, Killian bided his time and got "in there" with her first. Love how he loved her, I really did. Gah that man!! One of my all time favourite heroes for sure.

The book is tagged as dark - I am the biggest book wuss out there and didn't feel this was at all dark. It's also tagged as BDSM, again I don't think it should be because BDSM was hinted at but that was about it (thankfully - I'm not a BDSM fan).

Also, there is no cheating, no manwhoring and no skanky woman hanging off the band. A book that leaves me totally in my happy place and just works for me deserves 5 stars and then some.

So, the 4th Tear Asunder book.

Wow, it feels like forever since I met Sculpt, and fell in love with him.

So here's a fun fact: Torn From You was the first Dark Romance book I read some 3-4 years ago, and it was the book that made me fall in love with the genre. And because of that, I will forever be grateful to Rose.

Kite, from the very first book had been an enigma- the quiet bandmate, everyone respected, but at the same time so different from the rest.

To say that I have been curious about him would be an understatement.

I have always wanted to know more about him, and it isn't even until the end of the 3rd book, in Shattered By You, that we even come to know of his name.

Killian Kane.

He was every bit the man I expected him to be.

Tormented, possessive and true to his words.

When he was 16 he met Savvy, and from the very first time, something about her called to him. But because both of them were very young and because Savvy had just lost her mother, he let's her go with the warning that next time he meets her, he won't.

Cue 11 years into the future.

Savvy is a dancer, but she has no where to work. Desperate for some sort of job, she goes to the boy she loved as a child to ask for some job recommendation.

I have to say, I really liked Savvy. She was so different from Rose's other female characters from the series, that she was in some ways, a real breath of fresh air.

She was a complete wildcard, and I kind of kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. Well, I was glad that it did not. Sometimes an uncomplicated character is the best thing you can do to the story. For me, she perfectly complimented Killian.

He was very complicated. As a child, he had been really abused by his father, and the loss of his mother and brother fucked him up.

I was a bit frustrated with the way Rose tried to portray his character though. So he's this lady killer, and is into the hardcore stuff.. but he's also a virgin? Yeah I found that a little too hard to believe. He was waiting for Savvy to come back? Really? Yeah that part was the thing I'm not buying. Either he's a kinky motherfucker, or he's a virgin- decide. You can't tell me he's a sex god on his first try. I feel like if I complain about that for the ladies, I should complain about the men too. He's nearly 28, and he's never had sex.. but he's also into hardcore BDSM, and has skills of a seasoned pro. Try and make sense of that.

Other than that little twist Rose tried to throw at us, I really liked it.

Although staying true to it's genre, it does deal with certain dark themes, Kept From You is a lot lighter compared to it's predecessors. It is the perfect conclusion to this brilliant series.

Uhh unless I'm freaking stupid I don't get why yeah I think I'm stupid because I don't get it. *LOL*

I don't consider this hero a virgin when he did almost everything with OWs in a bdsm club just because he didn't stick his dick in these OWs doesn't mean he's a virgin IMO

I love this series, in fact I love Nashoda! I was dying for Kite's story and when this baby hit my Kindle, I dove right in. Boy, she didn't disappoint.

I never thought it was possible, but I fell even more in love with Kite. His childhood was difficult with a lot of hurt and loss. It's shaped who he is today. Nashoda gives us glimpses into his broken past and into the brief, but poignant connection with Savvy.

Savvy was easy to connect with and like. She was perfect Kite in she brought light to his dark and positive to his negative. These two together were sweet, sexy and also intense.

This is a second chance romance that'll have you rooting for Kite and Savvy.

4 1/2 "Orchid" Stars!

Loved it! Killian and Savvy have a surprisingly sweet story. This book is not nearly as dark as the other books in the series. I'm actually quite relieved about that; though there was tragedy and heartbreak and events that made me very angry. Now I can't wait for Trevor's story. I believe his story will be quit interesting. I loved catching up with the band! Nashoda Rose has become an auto buy author for me. Happy reading!!

I think Nashoda Rose can do no wrong with her books! With Kept from you, she delivered a poignant gripping heart-breaking story, yet sweet at the same time.

It's no secret I'm a huge fan of hers. I still need to read a PNR series but other than that I read every single book she made and every single one was a success. Nashoda Rose always finds the words to lead me in her world. The Tear Asunder series seduced me with his dark tones in Torn from you and Overwhelmed by you but it was Crisis' story in Shattered by you who got the bigger effect. I'm a Crisis' girl now and ever.
Kept from you was very much anticipated because Killian has always been a mystery; the quiet one, the one who lurks in the shadows but who by his actions still leaves a mark in each book.

From page 1 I was captivated by Killian's personality. You'll get to know the younger version to understand his actions in the present. He's protective with those close to him. He's always in control. Knowing his past is the trigger to understand him but it's by no means the way you'll fall for his character. Nope falling for Killian was immediate.
His life is a constant fight he wishes he could tame

Savvy was a strong character just like how I liked them. Needing help but never really asking for much, she manages with what she has. Her life has never been easy, yet she's there still fighting for what she wants, what she dreams.

The attraction these two have is unmatched. It's poignant, beautiful and it's an beautiful and sweet evidence. I read this one in one day because I was charmed by where they were going. HEA was never a doubt but some of Killian's issues were a threat to their happiness.

I was also super happy to have a little of the other guys. Kept from you being the 4th book give opportunities to see how the others are going and see how the band is still strong and important.

Kept from you is IMO the last in this series but I see so much potential. It's true I have a tendency to want everybody's story as long as he's an asshole with dirty skills. And well let me tell you they are so many possibilities here that my mind is spinning. So Nashoda while I know for a fact we will have a story for a certain eye-catching guy, I wanted to know what was your poison? Security agents? Bodyguard? Strip dancer?
Bartender?

See? Take your pick...

Perfection!

"You were always meant to be mine, Savvy."

Wow. I didn't think there was a possibility Nashoda Rose could top her past Tear Asunder books but I do believe she did with Kept from You. So here's how my reading experiences went with this series... The first book featured Logan (aka Sculpt) and that book seriously had everything I look for in a book- a tortured hero, a damaged heroine, suspense, intrigue, and a perfect fit for two lovers, each fitting a certain hole the other needed filled within their psyche. I didn't think a sequel could top Sculp (I refer to books by their heroes, not titles, so don't judge). Then came Rhem's story. Well, Rhem was different type of hero I love. The kind you go into the book with this preconceived notion that he's a Grade-A asshole. Just to fall madly in love with him...and his heroine. Then there's man-whore jokester, Crisis. Another distinct kind of hero- the one whose tamed by the sweetest, meek type of girl that herself needed a savior.

So what do we get here in Kept from You? ANOTHER refreshingly unique hero. One, who on the surface, is a tough fighter, the kind that scares the heroine way back in their younger years, but it's all for the sake of good- to fight the bullies, the injustices in the world...and his demons. On the surface, he's a total intimidating, badass fighter but deep down below is a very damaged, scarred soul. And it takes a heroine such as Savvy to see this softness and crack that tough shell, ruining him for other girls.

"You have good bits, Killian Kane. Lots of them."

Eleven years later...they reunite.

Killian Kane (aka Kite) is the drummer in Tear Asunder. Painfully private, his reputation is of the eternal bachelor with kink. Never having a steady girl, he's a bit of an enigma to the press so most of the stuff fans hear is conjured up. Savannah Grady (aka Savvy) is a professional dancer recovering from a bitter breakup with a cheating ex (and boss) who took it upon himself to ruin her chances of finding a new job away from him. Broke and desperate, she reaches out to an old school acquaintance, Killian, to put a good word in for her to the owner of a local high-end dance club, Compass. What she didn't expect is his profound refusal to let her work in the club...or any club for that matter. So she finds another way to work for Compass...behind the back of the ever-protective Killian. And it doesn't go over so well...

Killian and Savvy have a connection that truly has stood the test of time. Not necessarily friends, something between them always smoldered and when they're reunited over a decade later, the flames rekindle. Killian is rough where Savvy is soft. Yet this heroine has sass and doesn't back down to the likes of Killian Kane. It's rare and refreshing for him and he can't stay away, even if she is better off without him in her life. So he thinks.

When I thought of Savvy, it was like peering through a stained glass window. A multitude of beautifully ornate colors that didn’t allow me to see to the other side. Nothing was clear and defined when it came to my emotions with her. But fuck, it was beautiful.

I devoured this book. I freaking loved Killian Kane and all his deep-seated emotional issues yet his intense strength and protectiveness of all things Savvy. But he couldn't save her from himself, much to his dismay. Years had passed and he never met a woman to affect him like she did. A true second-chance romance, Kept from You will keep you on the edge of your seat, riveted to the pages, hoping this couple can pull it together for both their well-deserved chance for a happily ever after.

I love how Nashoda Rose keeps us abreast of all the Tear Asunder bandmates and their women. It's a true family of sorts and it's like a big reunion every time we read another book within this series. Nashoda Rose has found her niche in darkish, gritty, wounded heroes who are fiercely protective and will stop at nothing to save their often wounded-by-life heroines. Bravo.

3 Sweet Stars!
Loved this at first but then it started falling flat for me.
I have been waiting for Kites story forever! I was thinking this was going to top Crisis story which was my favorite! But it didn't. I felt disappointed while reading this one. I think my biggest problem was how sweet Savvy was. I also felt Kite wasn't the same as I had found him in the other books in this series. I was expecting some hot kinky shit and we didn't get that. lol

I skimmed some toward the end. The drama to me was silly.

On the other hand though I'm excited to see how Trevor's book is going to turn out. I did love him:)

Well, Kite/Killian wasn't as kinky as I wanted him to be. His dad was nasty, but not as bad as Sculpt's. Then there's that revelation...and boy does it mess Crisis up. Savvy was perfect for Killian. Loved seeing all of the band again. I hope Matt hooks up with her BFF, and that they get their own book.

Ms. Rose quit teasing me with only mentioning my book boyfriend's name (Deck) and then nothing else. Trevor's book is up next here's hoping for an actually sighting or two.

4.5 ‘ the good bits’ Stars

“Fight for me, damn it. Stop fighting everything else and fight for me. For us”

Nashoda Rose has done it again! We’ve loved everything we've read from this talented author, and after finishing Kept from You, we’re convinced this is one of our favourite series. There’s suspense, grit, passion, emotion and alpha goodness galore, not to mention pierced tattooed rock stars…yummy! What’s not to love…oh and this was bloody hot! And sweet! And a little intense!

We’ve been with the Tear Asunder guys’ right from the beginning. We’ve shared their difficult and painful pasts, we’ve shared their love and happiness as they each meet their soul mate, their missing piece. This group of rag tag rock stars prove family isn’t the blood that runs through your veins, but the loyalty, trust and love that runs through your hearts. They’ve been through so much and there’s nothing they wouldn’t do for each other.

“…Nothing wins against love. It wins every single fuckin’ time.”

We’ve been desperate for Killian ‘Kite’ Kane’s story, the drummer from Tear Asunder in what seems forever and finally, the gorgeous guy with the Irish lilt shared his painful story with us. Killian grew up quite privileged and was loved deeply by his Mum and brother. His father however was a different story. This man openly detested Killian, making his life miserable. Due to circumstances we later learn about through Killian’s POV, Killian has become an angry young man, needing to fight to relieve himself of the pent up guilt he carries with him.

We first meet Killian and Savvy when he is 16 and she is 15. Savvy (Savannah) feels drawn to Killian and believes there is a lot of ‘good bits’ beneath the anguish this young man elicits. Killian, in turn is drawn to Savvy’s innocence and sweetness, savouring the goodness that surrounds her.

‘Her goodness was my fuckin’ drug, drawing me to her.'

They part ways soon after, with Killian unleashing a first kiss on Savvy that really would change everything. For both of them. We flash forward 11 years in Toronto, with Killian enjoying success with his band, and Savvy down on her luck, seeking out Killian for a favour. Old feelings are unleashed with Killian not wanting the girl who always had a place in his heart to slip through his fingers. And that’s where the story begins.

‘I had my issues and she’d had a taste of them, and I knew I’d have to give her more of me. The parts of me I kept hidden.’

Whilst Kept from You didn’t quite pack the intensity and grittiness of the previous books, Killian and Savvy’s story was no less emotional, no less painful. We adored these characters and upon learning the full extent of Killian’s sacrifice and feelings for Savvy over the ‘lost’ years, our hearts damn near burst from our chests and we applauded Nashoda Rose for taking this turn with him.

‘I realized that the anger he carried with him ate away all his beauty. '

We do love a second chance love story and this one certainly fit the bill. Killian is all sorts of kinky alpha possessive yummy, yet he’s sweet, vulnerable and romantic as well. Not to mention sexy as sin for good measure! Savvy was a sharp, witty relatable character. Whilst this can be read as a standalone, we would strongly recommend reading the series to fully grasp and experience the bond between these men, the relationships of which we feel are the glue that holds this series together.

AMAZING! THIS SERIES JUST GETS BETTER AND BETTER!

So, I think I found my new book boyfriend, Killian Kane (Kite, drummer of Tear Asunder)......wow, just wow....so broken and guilt stricken, but also badass and sexy, strong and intimidating. His protectiveness of Savvy (Savannah) was fierce and electric!

They're story actually began in high school, where Killian was feared and known to protect the kids picked on by bullies. Besides that, he pretty much kept to himself. He was fighting the monsters inside him, while at the same time taking part in underground fights to release his pent up anger. This is also where he met Logan and they became best friends and obviously, they eventually became a part of Tear Asunder. Killian and Savvy didn't interact much but the few times they did, there were sparks and Killian totally had me, hook, line and sinker! They are separated by unforeseen circumstances.....

For eleven years!!!!l Yep too long. Tear Asunder is famous and Savvy needs a favor. She sneaks backstage into one of his concerts hoping to find Killian.......and, I'll stop there. You have to read it.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT! It is the perfect mix of everything, everything for me! This series has and will remain an absolute favorite of mine!

Looking forward to Trevor's story!

P.S. I need to mention the hot sex scenes, and I mean smoking hot, smoking HOT!

I received an ARC of this book through NetGalley for an honest review!

Beware of Spoilers!

Star Ratings:
Heroine (Savvy): 26yrs old
Hero (Kite/Killian): 27yrs old
Plot: 3/5
Grovel: none
Cheating: none
HEA: yes but no babies
Triggers: none

Average score: 3/5

Best Line: none that stood out to me

Worst Line: “Sit, Savvy.” And “I don’t want to define this, Savvy. I just want you.”

Personal Review:
A less than satisfying second-chance romance between a dancer and a famous rockstar

Random Ramblings
•Kite is a random nickname and it’s a bit of a stretch to consider it to be a menacing nickname!
•Mars annoyed me. Why do the ‘best friends’ of heroines have to be women who sleep around and constantly talk about d**ks?!
•I liked that Killian was bullying the bullies in high school
•It was heartbreaking what happened to his brother
•I thought he was serious about dating her but then he made comments about not wanting to ‘define’ the relationship…WTF?!
•Her sex ‘tweaking’ was too much for me

•I’m confused, so was he a virgin or not? Why do authors make it so hard for readers!!!

Overall Feeling:

I feel like I have run out of good romances…

Zoinks, turns out I didn't post my full review when I read this. I just noticed when I recently was reviewing my yearly read. Anyhoot, here goes...

4.5*

Finally, Kite’s story, wheee!!!

This did not disappoint at all! If you love these Tear Asunder fellas the way I do, I’d say you’d wanna get to Kite’s story the same way you did for Sculpt’s, Ream’s and Crisis’. How can you not!

Knowing Kite, or Killian, as Savvy knew him, from the previous books, a few things I remember. He’s got some kind of kink, there is a simmering intensity underneath all that humor he shares with his friends/fellow band mates, and he’s protective as the rest of them. And here we see why and how.

Killian and Savvy’s story is a little different in that their story started way back in high school. Savvy knew Killian long before he became Kite. Killian was just an angry intimidating kid. Even so, Savvy feels a pull towards him. Unbeknownst to Savvy, she’s always been on Killian’s radar. One first kiss, then their paths diverged.

Eleven years later, and due to Savvy’s circumstances, their paths crossed once again. And this time, there’s no letting go.

Kite/Killian is just as intense. He’s more controlled but intense nonetheless. Savvy has gone through a lot. She’s one proud woman, in a good sense. Time may have passed but one thing that didn’t fade is the pull they have to each other. Savvy’s always been able to see a hidden side to Killian, his “good bits’ side. Killian, as expected, is just as delish as the rest of Tear Asunder men. He’s hot, brooding yet caring, and super protective in a thrilling way. Yum!

As hard to believe this one thing about Killian given his kink (if you’ve read it, you’ll know what I’m talking about) and while I wish his kink has been explored some more, it didn’t take anything away from me loving this. It has the right amount of feels, sexual tension and smexy times, oh yeaaaah!*g*

And while this didn’t have the same intensity as the first 3 (because seriously, how much action can one group of friends have), Killian’s past created enough drama to create some action. Their pasts will break your heart, and their present will make it ache with tension and soar with their passion.

I will miss these fellas, that’s for sure! In this series, I’d say Nashoda is quite in her elements. She gave us lovable super hot alpha Hs and strong h’s in their own rights. With the series as a whole, not only did I get the typical rockstar romance, I also got action, suspense, and angst. And of course, the heat, can’t forget that, oh yeaaah!*g*

Title: Kept From You
Author: Nashoda Rose
Category: Romance
Series or Standalone: Series, Can be read as a Standalone
POV: Dual POV
Plot: 4
Characters: 4
Scorching Level: 4.5
HEA: Not telling

I ADORE Nashoda Rose's writing and this book had me hooked from the first chapter! This is Kite's story and what a story it was!
I simply loved his character. Thoroughly enjoyed his back story and what made him the man he is. I loved his relationship with Savvy from the first moment they met.
I loved how we saw Kite's flashbacks, the pain he had to endure from his own father. His pain about his brother.
Savvy was a heroine I adored. She is strong, kind and determined to do what she is born to do; she is a dancer and she doesn't give up. Her relationship with Kite was a dynamic one! I liked how they different they were, but the way they just clicked together made the book for me. Their explosive chemistry will melt your Kindle!
It was great seeing the rest of the band members in this book. The author always creates fantastic heroes and I highly recommend this book. I cannot wait for Trevor's story!
Do not miss this.

4.5 Stars!!!
