The Faerie Lords is a wonderful series! This is the second book and I think it is even better than the first. Basically a fairy tale romance but it includes fantasy, adventure, and mystery. The characters are complex and likable. Even the bad guys have strengths and weaknesses. The writing flows so that my attention is captured and carried away with the story. I will continue to read this series.

Crown of Briars is a paranormal romance focusing on Zoe, a witch who falls in love with a warlock who serves a very powerful fairy queen. The story moves at a good pace and took a few turns I wasn’t anticipating. Full disclosure, I do not normally enjoy romance novels of any kind. The formula of a woman falling in love with a man in two seconds doesn’t normally grasp me. This did happen in this book but there was a lot to the story besides their lust for one another. Zoe is up against a magical world when the person who created her comes to reclaim his gift. She has to make alliances with dark and creepy vampires, trust overly emotional fairy queens, fight in a world so foreign and poisonous she almost loses herself, and try to bring her love back home. Zoe is a witty, funny, and strong woman who doesn’t cower away from getting the job done. It was refreshing to read a woman in a romance situation who wears the pants. If you like fantasy and some steamy sex scenes that go along with romance novels, this story is for you.

Zoe (FMC) is a secretary but also a secret witch working for Dorian Moreau (a character that pops up in some other books this series) who is a lawyer who also specialises in buying, selling and keeping secrets. Secrets that are very lucrative to know. Zoe has plenty of her own that she has to keep secret for her own safety but sadly when they threaten to come out they could hurt the ones she cares about. Namely her Boss and Simon who works for the faerie lord-Lady of Briars after allegedly making a pact with her. A game of cat and mouth starts when someone wants Zoe and is trying every trick in the book to get her. A fast-paced, action-packed book with great characters and a story that grips you for the very start and keeps you there until the very end. Loved it

A Love Story for Both Worlds
The collaborative writers have given the readers a cast of characters that are richly unique. The main pair, Zoe and Simon are so wonderful on many levels and realms. I love the faerie world and the mundane and these writers know how to take us back and forth with richly developed characters in both.
This is a must read book and series and one I wholeheartedly recommend for your reading enjoyment and pleasure.

Zoe hides what she is. Simon is looking for answers to something from his past. They shouldn't want each other, but fate has other plans. Will Simon be able to accept what she is? Will Zoe be able to help him get his answers?
Loved how their friendship had been semi built over time. I didn't blame Zoe for hiding, but loved how she was determined to protect those around her anyway she could. I loved how Simon was determined to do anything to protect Zoe and how he was around the Lady. Great read!

I love that these are stand-alones! This one is Zoe and Simon's story. Zoe is a very reluctant witch who works for a lawyer tied to the supernatural world. She is able to keeps things under wraps, until the warlock Simon becomes a client. She should fear him, but there is something about him that she can't seems to resist and when things start to get dicey in Montreal she must choose whether to face the darkness alone or put her heart out there with Simon. Such a great story!!

Crown of Briars: A Wicked Faerie Tale Romance by Isabella August is an awesome story that I have read. This is book number two in this awesome series that I have loved readinga and I can not wait to read the net book in this awesome series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about suspense, dark and paranormal romances.

Good book

I really liked this book. The characters and story are very well written and developed. The author is a really great writer and I’m excited to read more in this series. I definitely recommend reading.

This is an intense story line that holds your attention as you get caught up in the fierce twists and turns and hot chemistry. Lots of excitement. A thrilling must read, every page will have you enthralled and panting for more. Let’s not forget to mention the chemistry of these two.

This is a semi stand alone in a larger story each one follows a different couple but has an over all story line, I am really enjoying this series! Well written and full of amazing characters!

A swirling throng of vexing contingents and a bevy of surprising mishaps catapults those swirling emotions bursting into play.
