Sometimes I think love
is a thorn burrowed beneath
my skin, too deep to pull
back out.

Kristina Mahr is an amazing poet. Her creative use of structure and metaphor is fantastic. This isn’t my favorite collection of hers, but there are still a few gems in there for me.
